Food wasn’t hot, didn’t taste so good. A lot of salt. Steak looks like fake meat. And the whole fish serve was told it was sea bass but looks or taste nothing like sea bass

foie gras, and oyster appetizer very good. I like the New Zealand salmon as well. The special veal shank cannoli was very good. I also enjoy the duck breast. Chocolate pot du cream is a vey good dessert to end the night. Carrollton Market remains a real favorite of ours in New Orleans

Delicious cocktails and curated meals using fresh ingredients. One of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Like enjoying dinner in your best friend's home, if your best friend was an award-winning chef with no attitude.

We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation, but the hostess sat us immediately. The individual that served us was attentive and provided suggestions when questioned. The meal was excellent, which included Oysters Goodenough (cooked to perfection) and duck (to name a few). We will return to this location.

Very good. Everything was deliciously executed.

My only complaint is the panzanella was NOT a panzanella. A panzanella has larger toasted torn bread, not just bread crumbs. Still tasty but they should change the name.

This is my new favorite restaurant.
For starters, we had the oysters and the fois gras. Our mains were the steak frites and the ragu.

Perfectly executed and delicious! Great place for foodies and to take people from out of town. And it’s full of locals which is refreshing.

Great experience, the Chef in the dining room running the kitchen and he kept my kids entertained. The staff was very attentive and the wine was awesome.

After being introduced to the chef/owner at a food festival in Greenville, SC, this was my second dining experience in his place. I will come back to Carrollton Market every trip I make to New Orleans! The food, atmosphere, service and vibe make this place one of my all time favorites in the south! Take the 20 minute ride out of the French Quarter for this local gem. You won't be disappointed!

All is well with Carrollton Market! We arrived a bit early and were seated at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and his drinks were outstanding. The food was wonderful and the service was professional, effective and friendly.

The food was good but the service was terrible. Our server was absent minded, missed several items that we ordered, had to be constantly flagged down and was honestly very slow. In the end, the manager came and apologized...but even then we had to wait a considerable amount of time for our corrected and adjusted check. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Food and service are 5 star. Wait staff knowledgeable and food items come to the table quickly and are exactly as described. My only negatives and to most they wouldn't be a negative, are the high noise level and the uninspired (to me) dessert options. A former fave revisited but we won't wait so long between visits again.

My sister and I went for Saturday Brunch, it was her birthday. Our waiter was Ryan, he gave us some excellent suggestions and he was very charming and courteous. Ryan helped us with the menu. I had a Pimmosa, which was delicious and I also had the Oyster Goodenough omelette, the omelette was the best one I have had. My sister had the debris which was also very good. We shared some of the omelette as it was very big, there was even enough to take some home. We sat at the counter which was also very nice because we could see what was being prepared, all looked very good. Great experience and I will be back.

The servers always make dining a special experience with the bartender even coming over to share a drink recipe and sample of their homemade cello.
The menu is interesting and never disappoints. We just love this place.

This popular spot is way off the tourist track, about a 15-20 minute car ride from downtown in the Carrollton Gardens area at the very end of St. Charles Ave. It is a small restaurant, but we were seated at the back where we were able to hear each other in conversation. The food is creative, emphasizes seafood, and our party were very happy with their orders, including a vegan for whom the chef made a cauliflower steak with pesto. The signature Oysters Goodenough were plump, juicy, and expertly fried, although the bacon/leek accompanying bed was salty. The fish was a hit, as was the pork belly. Service was excellent and attentive. Worth the trip if you are in NOLA and want to explore less traditional options.

Fois Gras, Sweet potato n andouille soup, perfectly seasoned n cooked steak, n pot de creme made for an incredible New Orkeans dinner. Plus great service. We are locals and will be back. Thank you!

We dined here with a special NYE prix fixe menu. It was wonderful, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The courses were inventive and delicious and the wine pairings were spot on. The service was excellent. We were in town visiting, and we're planning to be in New Orleans a few times a year. We are already looking forward to dining at Carrollton Market again! Thank you Chef Goodenough and staff for taking us on a wonderful culinary journey!

Excellent New Year's menu. The food is always very good and creative. The oyster appetizer is always very good as well as fresh salmon. The crawfish dish and squab were also excellent. Everything on the regular menu is worth trying anytime. The service is always excellent and personal. A great restaurant in the Carrollton river bend area that is not on the radar for visitors to New Orleans often, but it should be.

From start to finish everything excelled. The starters were hot and filling, we shared an entree and the restaurant presented it split even though we didn't ask for it, which was greatly appreciated. The warm parker house rolls were a wonderful addition and the cocktails were tasty. Service was wonderful, a great small neighborhood restaurant.

Heard this was one of New Orleans' best, and we were not disappointed. The food was everything we had hoped for, from start to finish. The appetizers: Oysters Goodenough (I'm still thinking about these), crabmeat risotto, and duck pasta were perfectly executed, full of flavor, and enjoyed by everyone at the table (which is rare). The entrees did not disappoint either: I had the gnocchi with a beef/ragu sauce, which was completely satisfying. Tasted the pork belly (yes) and the steak frites (yes yes). Cocktails were great, too. Will return.

Please add quality non alcoholic beer to bar inventory such as Beck. Not O ' Doul's. Last stigma in fine dining...every allergic or person who think they are can be accommodated but recovering alcoholics (very large AA pop. in NOLA & tons of tourists) still have to shyly ask for ice tea. The Market was pricy & very much worthy it! We were terrifically impressed by cuisine & service. Loved the digestif. Biallaget China China recommended by Casey. Met with Owner & Chef Goodenough regarding a Food Sustainability evening of lectures in 2019 in collaboration with nursing, culinary arts & nutrition sciences/systems at major Texas university & community college program. What talent, creativity, & generosity! Am grateful for the opportunity to have spoken with this gifted man.

Also,know this is tricky but disability access is tough almost every where but encourage people to let maitre'd know when making reservations if clientele may need help with ingress & egress. Happy New Year Carrollton Market!!😍

The brunch was just okay. Unfortunately there were lots of shells in the crabmeat dish I ordered. I have been several times for dinner and enjoyed my meals more then. The floor of the dining room is extremely slick-perhaps even greasy in areas, which made it challenging for ladies to walk. The dining room had a sewer smell, noticeable as soon as the front door opened. Also, the owner furiously yelled at another chef and threw a piece of food at him and cursed loudly. This was really uncomfortable for us considering I was with a few teen girls and the kitchen is open for viewing.

Our food and experience was fantastic! Only reason i didn’t give 5 stars on service was because we waited a little long to be greeted by our server to take drink orders. After that, service was great. Food comments were OMG, this is phenomenal, never tasted such wonderful brunch food! Brunch cocktails were great too!
Got 2 huge crab cakes topped poached eggs and creole tomato hollandaise sauce. (Big enough for ladies to split.) Debris on cornbread biscuits-undoubtedly the best debris and au jus we’ve ever tasted. Comments about the food continued to be, “Oh my God,” throughout the brunch. We were in food ecstasy the whole time and could find no better words! (Sorry but we dug into the food before we could take photos. It looked so wonderful and tasted, OMG!) Wish I had some of all of it again this morning!
