Chicken Burrito Bowl
We were visiting from PA. Was happy with the experience
Nachos might be the best I have ever had! Service was great and Quick! Tacos were awesome as well! Good price. Could be more Beer Selection but besides that it was perfect!
While the server was really nice, the speed of service was really slow. I really appreciated the way they made it comfortable to eat outside when it was really cold out.
Visiting from VA beach to check out apartments; good place to have a casual meal. Food was really good!
Not being a local resident of Chapel Hill, the food was great. Authentic nacho chips and the place was very nice. It was a basketball game night, the service was flaky, but overall; I recommend this place, even if it’s just passing by. Excellent beer selection, too.
Used to work here but always has great food, drinks, and service
Good job of handling covid protocols. Upstairs area was very nice. Menu seemed a bit limited.
Really great food. My wife and I had a great time.
They have a 100 health rating. Almost unheard of in the restaurant business. The service was terrible. Always had to ask for more water which always took way too long. Very disappointing..... We waited a long time to place our order, checked on very rarely.
My wife and I went to the Chapel Hill location for Valentine's Day after having been to the closer (to us) Pittsboro location several times. We were seated in the upstairs section, which we preferred to the bar level below. Even upstairs, there were several televisions tuned to sporting events.
The building itself is very nice, with brick and wood nearly everywhere.
The food was good. I had the hot chicken burrito, which was just hot enough to get my nose to run by the end. I ordered it with roasted vegetables that were very good. My wife got a barbecue bowl with a good portion of barbecue, cole slaw, hushpuppies, and the roasted vegetables. She was happy with it.
The service was excellent. We had reservations and were seated right on time.
Nachos are great. On the other hand, shrimp bowl is terrible - shrimp have so much batter and the batter wasn’t cooked on the inside.
Meal was fine. Menu was severely limited due to being out of a lot of the ingredients. Waitress wasn’t the most pleasant but all in all it was a fine experience.
Very nice dinner with family
Restaurant was out of multiple items (7pm on a Saturday night no onion rings, chip nachos, pulled pork) Short staffed. Ribs and fries brought out cold. Medium well hamburger was very rare/uncooked. Waitress did her best. Beer was good!
Friendly greeting from host and prompt and efficient service from our waiter..
Table of four. Nacho Potato Chips were very good. Three diners (two ordered CAROLINA ON MY MIND BURGER; one ordered Blacken Fish Tacos) were pleased with their dishes. One diner ordered HOT CHICKEN BURRITO
)Grilled Adobo Chicken, Pico de Gallo Pickled Vegetables, Habañero Fire Salsa, Crema).
The Burrito was stuffed with three cups of rice and about one third of a cup of dry tasteless chicken. No pico de Gallo, salsa, or crema. Had to ask for some salsa and it was still inedible. Diner left 90% on plate. Mentioned situation to server. Manager apologized, agreed that the dish was not as advertised, and comped meal.
Beer was good.
Server was awesome, just overall as usual great experience!
We had a great night. Our waitress was on top of things and very friendly. Our burger took longer than expected and she kept us updated and compt our app. It was also a nice surprise to have free transportation to the basketball game.
Probably more of a bar atmosphere than we expected. We ate here on a late Sunday afternoon so no problem getting a table. We were a party of 6; the hostess asked us if we wanted to dine upstairs and we did. No one else was up there so a good place for us to chat and eat. Our waitress was timely with taking our order and very friendly, however she had to make 3 separate trips to bring our food upstairs. By the time the last 2 people got their food, it was cold and the first 4 people had finished eating. Not a good system - not sure why no other servers helped her bring our order because they were not busy at all. The food was good if it had been consistently hot for everyone! I hate to ding our lone server but either she needed to ask for help serving us or it should be a standard part of their process. I wouldn't rush back, too many other restaurants in Chapel Hill to try.
Menu is not overly big but enough different options. I was disappointed they only had 3 beers available. Reason was they ran out of beer from the Sunday football game. That is sub-optimal for a brewery. Would go again though. The 2 beers I had (kolsch and amber) we’re both solid.
We were a party of 7 that made a reservation specifically to watch the UNC vs USC game. We arrived early, had drinks at the bar and then were seated upstairs. The waitress changed all the TVs to the game. We were all watching one tv and had our chairs facing it. In the 3rd qtr, they sat a family of 4 and changed the tv (without checking with us) to another game. We questioned them and another waitress got flustered and sent manager. He made us out to be the bad guys but eventually moved the other table. There were plenty of other tables. We can’t count the many times that we have been here to game watch - very disappointing that we are in Chapel Hill and had to beg for our game to be on. NO way this would have happened in Blacksburg - other family was VA Tech. Prior to this happening our waitress was wonderful - she was not at all involved with the TV issue. Afterwards she never asked if we wanted anything and proceeded to slam drinks and the check down when we ordered. Very upsetting for these 6 UNC graduates. 💙🐏
Waited an hour on pork tacos on a slow Sunday night and didn’t receive all of our order. Food was good when we got it.
Your sky blue beer rocks, the waitress was very helpful and attentive. Food was great
Great place for a burger or sandwich and a beer
Don’t really care for the changes to the menu....
The wait staff was good and the restaurant not too busy at this early dinner hour. The food was average. The best thing was the quesadilla appetizer. The entrees were just OK.
The food was good and the service was great. The beer was also excellent.
We enjoyed our brunch. It was a pretty good value for the quality of the food. They did have some interesting choices.
Fabulous building and ambience. Great beer and service.
Great place for lunch with friends. Food was good but poor choice of non alcoholic beverages.
I’ve been a few times for brunch but the last time really left something to be desired. My order was messed up more than once but the server was gracious and made things right for my trouble. Good for brunch though if you want a quiet meal basketball season near CH probably isn’t the right move. Love the salad bar option.
Great food and friendly service! We watched the Carolina game!
Had Brunch - and enjoyed everything about the place. Highly recommended!
Great place for brunch we will be returning!!!
The food, service, and overall experience was great!
Great food and environment on game day!
Stopped in the brew pub on Thursday evening for Thirsty Thursday. Great street tacos and sliders and $2 drafts. Very nice staff, noise not too loud (the place was only 1/3 full) and great food. Think I know where to go on Thursday afternoon.
Great meal before a concert at Cats Cradle. Beer was fantastic!
We came to watch the super bowl and eat. It was a good place to watch the game but couldn’t hear the commercials- that was kind of to be expected though. The food was average but pretty pricey. Good service though. Bradley was our server and he was really nice and attentive.
We had such a great experience at Carolina Brewery! The staff was terrific, the atmosphere fun for both adults and kids, the location was perfect for walking up and down Franklin Street and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back with our group next time we are in town!
Usually visit the Brewery in Pittsboro but had out-of-town visitors who really like the Franklin St location!! Being able to make a reservation was extremely helpful... No wait..good was fast..wait staff excellent... Only wish brew crew carried over from one location to the other!!
