Restaurateur Artie Cutler crafted Carmine's with a singular vision; bringing his guests abundant portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Excellent food, we ordered two appetizers and four entrees for a party of ten… and it was probably one of either too much. What the food lacks in imagination it makes up for in taste, and you really won’t be able to beat the value in the neighborhood. Great service and the staff was especially helpful given it was a birthday and the guest of honor wanted a specific cake from elsewhere. Very happy with our choice!

One for happy hour to have a few drinks and some of the happy hour specials… The meatball and chicken Parm sliders were incredible… Nobody makes better wings… And the bartender named Destiny was awesome!

Very pleased with experience. My husband has a gluten allergy and we were impressed to have options on a separate menu for him to choose from. Portions were abundant with plenty of leftovers for future meals!

The food is a family sized dish so weather you like sharing or not, you are definitely going to have to. No one can finish there plate meals. Anyways, the food is so good, you can mix and match and the staff are very nice however they are always all over the place.

This restaurant is best for large parties - our party of 3 couldn’t even make it through one app and a salad, never even making it to the entrees. :-/ Service was lovely and food was good - just far too much of it.

Service was 10/10! Food was absolutely amazing. Started with the stuffed mushrooms which were so great, then got the rigatoni with broccoli and chicken parm as the entrees. Pasta and the sauces were amazing, but wasn’t a fan of the chicken parm.

Beautiful night! Beautiful, large, multi-family, Friday, summer night, 6:15pm dinner, with young children, convenient to National Mall and Metro. The food was perfect, and the environment was just right for us. Our party was 5 children (3-8 years old), and 4 adults. We're local, and we love Carmines! We were meeting friends from Cali for Friday night family dinner after they toured the National Mall. They were arriving on foot from the Smithsonian we were arriving from the Metro. Both groups traveling with young children found it a very convenient location. Very flexible, everything from suit and tie to shorts and t-shirts. Big business events, quiet date nights, family dinner, tour groups, and locals. When I was a young kid, Carmine's NYC was the first place I ever had calamari, and I still think their calamari platter is one of the best. Grazie, bella cena!

Food good, but portions huge. Server warns you but it's still too much food. Hate waste and two people made little impression on the calamari starter. Pasta was very good and more manageable.
