Service was less than acceptable We were ignored all night. Not great as a couple, better suited for families and children. One step above Olive Garden!

When in DC we always come and enjoy Carmines! Best variety and taste of Italian food around! Party of 6 ~ we ordered the ceasar salad, calamari, stuffed mushrooms, chicken marsala, angelhair pasta w/ oil and the shrimp scampi ~ plenty of food!!! And the taramasu and chocolate bread pudding was AMAZING!!! Always a GO TO!!

Our waitress was fantastic but she had too many tables and no one helped her. We asked the managers and hostess many times to assist as they just stood around taking about her instead of helping her and watching her struggle. We love Carmine’s and have never had a poor service but this was sad to see!

The family menu was our choice. We went with the seafood pasta even though it seemed overpriced. It was good but not fabulous. Probably won't be back.

We went to Zaytinya, Oyamel, Founding Farmers and Reren Lamen and they were fantastic. The food and service at Carmines was not even as good as the Smithsonian cafeterias.

I have been here multiple times. Once with my family of 4 and once with a big group. Both were fantastic! What a value in downtown DC. I will be back when in DC.
