This casual, upscale restaurant offers innovative American cuisine including the freshest seafood from the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic and Pacific, great steaks from Allen Brothers in Chicago, and regional and seasonal specialties. Daily lunch and dinner specials feature local ingredients whenever possible. The Heights burger can be paired with hand cut French fries, crispy thin onion rings, homemade lemon-pepper potato chips or German potato salad. There is an outdoor patio under a canopy of oak trees that's shady and extremely popular with locals and visitors to San Antonio. The brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays features a menu of classic egg dishes, Texas pot roast, jumbo lump crab cake, seasonal "out of the blue" seafood entrees, entree salads, and Mustang chicken. Cappy's has an ever-changing, dynamic and well-priced wine list, with great choices by the glass or bottle. Full bar.

    We dine at Cappy’s on a regular basis and it’s almost always perfect. This evening was no exception. A light meal sharing the halibut plate, crispy Brussels, a soup (gumbo) and field green salad between the two of us. Isabel, our server was professional, efficient and courteous. Everything was prepared perfectly. Cappy’s is a reliable, high quality spot to dine.

    Rude receptionists poisoned our dining experience. We were 15 minutes early for our 5:30 reservation at the Sunday evening opening. We sat in the waiting area as asked, No sooner after we sat down, two parties arrived, were greeted by name, and were immediately seated. Only after my date waived her hand up high were we reluctantly seated by the female receptionist.

    You don't want to eat here if you're in a big hurry because they are usually so busy that it might take a while to get your food. Service was outstanding with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our crab cake appetizer was delicious, the burger was one of the best I've ever had anywhere, however the fries were overcooked and tpo crispy in my opinion. The key lime pie we had for dessert was also very delicious. I am surprised I have never heard of this restaurant before because if they do any advertising at all I've never seen any I'm guessing all their business comes by word of mouth and repeat customers! :/

    What a fantastic place!! Our cousin recommended your restaurant and we made reservations twice during a 4 day stay in San Antonio. Both lunch and brunch were superb. Ingredients were super fresh. Staff was great. 5 stars all around.

    Food and drinks were excellent as always. However, Service was below par and we frequent here when going out in San Antonio. The waiter only came to our table 4 times...Drink order, Drinks/Order Food, Food Delivered, Check...Never once asked if we wanted our drinks or water refilled or to ask how our food tasted...

    I always enjoy eating at Cappy’s, and I always order the same thing, fried shrimp. I really enjoy the way they cook their vegetables and my favorite dessert is the coconut pie.

    Another great evening at Cappy’s. Kyle, our server, took great care of the four of us. Our food was served hot and as we ordered. Cappy’s never fails to impress and is why we keep going back, over and over.
