We had an amazing experience at Capo on Saturday. They say is waaaaay in the back at the back corner which I was originally disappointed about because I thought that the server would forget us. Our waitress was amazing and checked in on us a lot. Very pleased with the service and food!

Great energy and atmosphere. The food was amazingly delicious. Had a few appetizers and then butternut squash as an entree. They also have a great selection of wine. Highly recommend for dinner.
I told the hostess we would get a drink at the bar while waiting but she said they just needed to clear the table and she would come get me in 1 minute. It took 10 and she never came and got me - I had to go back up and she replied, "oh yeah sorry it's ready" and we were annoyed waiting wishing we got that drink at the bar like we said initially. The worst part of the service however was our waitress once we got to the table. She laughed at her own jokes and we couldn't hear the specials whatsoever despite our desperate attempts to which was very awkward. Our waitress was terrible. We ordered a bottle of wine and 1 cocktail and it took 30 minutes to arrive. She came over 3 times telling us she is so sorry the wine still isn't here. We got the wine after our apps were served. We never received bread - it came mid-dinner. She told us we would get a complimentary app for all of the issues which arrived late. She came to ask us if we got it and we awkwardly responded no. She kept acknowledging all of the issues that kept happening but rather than things getting better they just kept getting worse. We were super understanding and kind but it was so bad it was almost comical. The food was great per usual but it was embarrassing to have friends out of town and talk up Capo which ended up embarrassing us due to the horrid service experience during this visit. The only thing I will say was the man that I called early in the evening to make the reservation was super great nice and helpful. Sorry to say everything else was downhill from that interaction on. We live down the street but sorry to say we won't return anytime soon.
The menu was fun!!! I just wish there were vegan alternatives for food. There was no dairy free milk for my cappuccino.
The restaurant needs to install something to absorb some of the noise. It was hard to hear the waiter.
Other than that, I highly recommend this place and plan to come again and again!

I met the owner of the most unprofessional establishment I’ve ever been in my life. Other than our waitress the entire staff was extremely rude not knowledgeable about running a restaurant or customer service etiquette at all absolutely one of the worst experiences ever! Every single person other than our waitress was more concerned about how many people were online outside waiting to get in to drink than the actual patrons that were there for dinner!

Terrible experience unfortunately! We’ve been here many times with great service, food etc- this time everything was awful. Food was cold, service was non existent. Maybe we’ll give it a bit before returning. Too bad!!!
My husband and I had heard good things about Capo and went on a Sunday night expecting low-key. It was filled and vibrant and though noisy, it was a great atmosphere. Our server was outstanding and the appetizers and meals we very good. Our server mentioned gluten-free Tuesdays and we are so in, as gluten-free eating can be challenging. My food was amazing and we are both looking forward to going back!

On Valentine's Day, ladies were greeted at the door with a rose. We were there to celebrate our daughters birthday. Service was excellent, server was very helpful with the menu. I had ordered a custom cake ahead of time and confirmed at check-in that it was tied to the reservation and that I didn't need to do anything further to make sure it arrived (without ruining the surprise). The server wasn't notified, so that was a bit awkward when she asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu. Minor hiccup, but we had a great time and will be back.
Every aspect of the evening at Capo was top notch.Host,waitress,meal,cocktails and the pace was very comfortable.

Great food but very small portions (expected)
Took about 20 minutes to receive our drinks and 30 minutes for bread. Then for our entrees not all of the food was brought out at the same time.
Visiting our son in Boston so he suggested this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was beautiful, service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to come back again!
My only complaint is that I wish the coffee cups were bigger! But good food, great value.
Early brunch at 11AM so Capo was quieter than usual but, as always, great food. Started sharing meatballs - can't go wrong. Then enjoyed the special fig french toast with a special cocktail (I forget the exact name - something "cuke") with tequila, elderberry, heat, and cuke garnish - awesome!
Went for gluten free night and everything was amazing!
We went on gluten free night- the first Tuesday of every month. It was wonderful. Loved being able to try so many foods. Highly recommend for anyone with celiac.

Parking in Southie is non-exsistent but the struggle of finding a spot is totally worth it to visit Capo! The food is unbelievably good. We started with the Lobster burrata and a charcuterie board, both of which were more than filling. The bolognese was out of this world good! And our server Ryan was the best service I’ve had in a long time. Do yourself the favor and visit Capo!
Always the best time: the food is unbelievable- all homemade pastas made fresh daily. They will do anything you ask to change a plate to your preference. The chefs are so good (Ciro & Dixon), and their management always makes sure we are happy throughout the night- Jake especially. The chicken parm is a must, and bolognese. I could pick them entrees I love, but those are my two favorite - ask for vodka sauce on the pasta!
If you are under 40 and not a foodie you may like the noise, the vibe and the food that is so poorly balanced and not worth the price. $30 seafood risotto so salty it was inedible, roasted beets overly vinegary and swimming in pesto, flavorless lobster ravioli with barely any lobster. The one item that was good was a the tender calamari.

I always wish it was better. Scallop appetizer was small portion and hard, tightly wrapped. I believe they were $12. Avoid. We had the pizza, which used to be good. There was very little crust, dough was flavorless. Duck ragu over gnocchi, was so-so. Gnocchi were raw gooey dough balls - some people like that, not me.
