Located on West Broadway in South Boston, Capo Restaurant is a rustic neighborhood gathering place serving fine Italian food and spirits in an energetic and comfortable setting. Wonderful atmosphere (tired of the word "ambience") - low lighting, lively but not too noisy. Service was efficient and very friendly. Great variety of menu options, and we all loved our choices: wood fired pizza, shrimp scampi, chicken Milanese and pasta dishes. They also make a smoked mashed potato dish that is wonderful! Great spot!

It was lovely to feel safe in an all gluten-free environment on Tuesday night! The figs with prosciutto were delicious. The fried Brussels had a nice flavor, except most were a bit too charred for our tastes (read-carcinogenic). The Carbonara pasta was a little gummy and had very little cream sauce, so it was a little dry. The Black truffle pizza was the best gluten free crust I’ve ever had (and I’ve been GF since 2017). The Filet Mignon was very tender, with great flavor. It sat on a bed of smoky mashed potatoes (quite interesting). The grilled asparagus was tasty. The dessert trio was rich: the chocolate torta was more of a moist cake with icing. Yet still yummy. The dulcey caramel Nutella cheesecake was a bit too much caramel flavor for us, yet the Nutella ganache was really nice. The mixed berry semifreddo was quite lovely- our favorite of the three. All in all, a wonderful meal. Staff was pleasant. Attentive yet not hovering. If we lived in Boston we would come often. Restaurant is a bit too noisy (ask to sit in back room, it’s quieter).

Food was good, big portions. Sangria was good, but didn't seem to have much alcohol in it. Chicken parm was huge. Server attentive.
