BBQ Pork Fried Rice
Green onions, peas and carrots.
Fried, served with spicy soy sauce and sweet chili sauce
Food was good but service was not the best. Initially the servers were there wanting to take our order but when you wanted to order it took a while for someone to come back. Some things came out quick while others took a little longer than it should. Would recommend if service is not a big deal.
My favorite meet-a-friend and share-a-meal restaurants. Love trying something new each time. Delicious!!!
Complete disappointment. Booked a table for my birthday and I am so sad I picked capital. Not only was the food a 2 out of 10 but the ambiance was cheap and dirty. I don’t know what was worse the lack of service or the fact they pushed dirty bins of soiled plates and buckets of old food prep through the restaurant with active diners.
This used to be a great restaurant, now the food is fair service was slow however that could be because of covid and no employees.
Food is really good, but skip the cocktails.
Had a business lunch here before we all attended the Rams Training camp at UC Irvine Monday 9th. Upon arrival we waited 6 mins at the front kiosk for a host to seat us with reservations for 4. Not until I walked up to the cashier did we at last got seated at a table. The place was only 1/2 full! At 12:45p.
We were offered 1 dim sim menu which was difficult for the other 3 persons to look at the offerings. Would have been better if we all were given a menu each.
The food was ok at best but have been here a dozen times in the past years and it seems that the quality of the dim sum has fallen off!
Not once did a server stop by our table for tea and water refills. For the cost of lunch I would suggest someplace other than Capital for a business lunch!
Good food and service
The chicken we ordered for grandson had strong smell and terrible taste , chicken was spoiled
Took my in-laws for lunch. We had only dim-sum and it was amazing. Everything tasted delicious - pork dumplings, chicken dumplings, pork ribs in a sauce and seasoned string beans. Fantastic!
We have been to Capital Seafood a handful of times. It’s always the same. While the food is good the service and environment are terrible (not to mention the bathrooms are always filthy). We have the beg to order and then we are rushed while ordering. To the point where they basically won’t let us order drinks and certainly can’t ask for recommendations or help with some of the food descriptions. It’s also very misleading that it is listed as Dim Sum - which it has 1 small dim sum item on the menu. Finally all the food is dumped on the table at once. When you are ordering appetizers or soup it never comes before the main meal. Overall this last experience might have been our tipping point of no return.
Dinner was delicious! We were not sure what to expect on our first visit in. We had a shrimp dish, a tofu dish, and the house green beans. Every sauce was nuanced and really delicious. Nice wine list as well. We had a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay. Service is professional and timely. We never wanted for a glass filled or the next dish arriving. Best Chinese food around!
Printed menu had a very minimal selection compared with online. No descriptions of food and service wasn’t overly helpful. Food was okay but overpriced.
It was my husbands birthday. I asked if they could send something special out. We received nothing.
Let me down.
decent dim sum and duck. Duck should have beeen juicier
Food came fast and was very good!! Thank you.
The wait staff was not attentive, the food was fine, the decor was lackluster. Unfortunately, there were many gnats or small flies in the restaurant and hovering over our food. Unfortunately, we ended going elsewhere for dinner after spending $150 here.
The food is delicious! I miss the carts that use to roll by the tables before the pandemic. The restaurant fills up during lunch hour, and thus, it makes it a little difficult to hear and converse if you have a hearing handicap.
Way overpriced for dim sum.
Though I made a reservation there was no table available. Still had to wait. The host then sat us at wabbly table. It was just a horrible experience
Should be noted that if there's a line to get in, customers with reservations can walk to the front desk and skip that line.
The best dim sum in town!
Great visit. Seated promptly and food came out as ordered.
The orange chicken was terrible- overcooked and too much breading
Excellent dim sum, nice ambiance and service. This is our go to place for yum cha...having a reservation is best!
Always love the food. Great outdoor dining option
What happened to Capital Seafood?? We came for dim sum during lunch time. Food was not good and we constantly needs to get waiter attention for anything we need. Being in Irvine Spectrum, I would expect everything to be alittle better. Very disappointed.
Poor service. Food was alright and nothing special. You are paying for the location. Portions were great.
Love the dim sum. Service is excellent.
It was quite cool because the door to the room was open, but I can understand because of current conditions of Covid.
We had a party of 7 for dim sum. Service was bad ... most of the waiters were not checking on you whether if you need to order, drinks refilled and utensils. Had to flag them down every single time. The prices are outrageous, $20 for a small plate do fried rice. The bathrooms are super dirty and no one cared if it needed attention. Won’t go back!!!
No wait with our reservation. Plenty of sushi options. Staff very helpful and accommodating.
As usual the service and food are second to none! James, Charles & staff gave us all the attention needed for a mini bi celebration! Can’t say enough about how good this place is! Thanks again for making it extra special!
Service is poor.
They did not check my reservation at all.
Delicious food. Would definitely go again
Well executed. Average food for the price
-Overall, very good!
-The restaurant did not confirm our arrival with OpenTable and I received an email about missing my reservation. I believe this has been resolved.
Best chines food ever
The waiter was a bit rude and our of it but the owner is nice chang
He always makes things good And enjoyable
Restaurant is beautiful been going there for 3 years love it
The food was excellent!! The Staff was attentive and meticulous in following COVID safety regulations. Dim Sum is selected from a paper menu instead of from trays on wheels and quickly served. My husband also ordered the pork fried rice and loved it!
Excellent meal and service. The food quality and quantity has remained consistent even during the pandemic. Hard working staff made the staff enjoyed. Rated 4 stars because one dish was missing. Never received it.
