Reading some really good reviews on Yelp, I had higher expectations for this place. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as The Keg, but I was pretty disappointed. However, the server we had was spectacular, she was very nice and accommodating.

The food on the other hand.... eh. It was *okay*. The honey whipped butter is really light, sweet, and delicious and is paired with multi-grain bread for the starter. My boyfriend and I went to watch a movie before dinner and had a lot of snacks, so we weren't super hungry and decided to share everything. We got the calamari fritti to start and although it could've been more deep fried/crispy, it was yummy. The sundried tomato aioli it comes with is delicious (before it came, I asked for chipotle mayo sauce but it did not even compare to the aioli)! We shared the 14 oz prime rib with russet potato mash and got a side of sauteed mushrooms. I was pretty disappointed in this because the prime rib was HIGHLY praised from Yelp reviews, but it was pretty dry and the mashed tasted like nothing, just a plain potato. I definitely wouldn't recommend the mash.

Canyon Creek is a tad pricier than The Keg (calamari $15/$13, prime rib $36/33). Given the slight price difference and how I wasn't really satisfied with my meal, I don't think I'd come back here to eat.

Always enjoy dining at Canyon Creek. A couple of misses this visit was on the beer reco ;asked for non citrus base; unfortunately it was citrus, burger request no onion and it came with onion and the dessert was advertised as a pie and it wasn’t. Came in a jar as a custard with edible oil topping which was not what was expected and disappointing.

This was our third visit in as many months; our other two visits were fantastic. However this time we were seated in a far corner behind two large groups. The noise level was unbelievable. Once we ordered we did not see our server again until she brought our bill; we lost her attention to the larger two groups, our sides were wrong and the gentleman that brought us our entrées was going to send our server back. Very unlikely that we will be returning which is unfortunate as we enjoyed this restaurant as part of our weekend hotel getaways to Toronto.

The steak was over cooked and the rest of the food was cold — it was terrible. When something was said to waitress she just looked at us puzzled and said sorry to hear that, then walked away. The salads had no dressing on them - had to ask three times to get sauce - balsamic sauce never came. Couldn’t even get the waitress to get us a second drink - had to ask numerous times. And with a party of 5 we couldn’t even get a second loaf of bread. Service/manager were rude and uninformed about promotions. None of our problems were addressed- very embarrassing for me with birthday guests. Won’t be returning.

This was a birthday celebration for both my son and his girlfriend. Everyone loved their meals, service was excellent and our server Val was very polite, made sure we were taken care of, he was fantastic!

The special request made for halal options via open table were not available. According to restaurant staff, such requests can only be accommodated for groups of 10 or over.

Nonetheless, the seafood options recommended to my guest were excellent. It amply made-up for the shortcoming...

I ordered a cheese burger with a Cesar salad. Honestly the burger was disgusting but the salad was ok. I was expecting much a much better food here considering that the prices are very expensive. Service was fine and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice.

Service was great - very attentive waitstaff. Food was very good also. My complaint is that they would not accept an open table dining Cheque for $130 because the bill was $95. ( before tip)
Doesn’t make sense to me - if change was given for the balance in cash: the entire Cheque would still be in their till and balance out at the end of the night -simple math -but manager wouldn’t take it- so I paid by credit card and will probably not be back .

Manager have off the impression that I was trying to scam them somehow.
