We made reservations for a party of 6 to celebrate a birthday. Our waiter was extremely rude and service was as slow. Over 20 minutes to just put in our order. Sides were cold and not very flavorful! They waiter really made the experience that much worse. I didn’t even feel comfortable sending my food back since he had already yelled at me twice.
Good food, good drinks.
Overall a lovely restaurant! We went on a Saturday night for date night. I would recommend making reservations, as they were very full. The food was delicious, especially the gnocchi! The only down side is that it was very loud and hard to hear our waitress, which resulted in being brought the wrong dish. Luckily, she was very understanding and put in the correct order right away! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good Italian food and decent portions!
The food was excellent as well as the service. We ordered an appetizer and salad as well as come drinks and all came out very quickly. Our meals arrived shortly after that and the four of us enjoyed them all. Two of us had to bring leftovers off. The only negative was it was chilly inside. I had made reservations and called a day before to see if we could come earlier and the person that took my call was friendly and accommodating and said it would be ok. It worked out great.
We would definitely go back again in the summer and request the front table by the windows.
Great place in the North End! We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent NewYears Eve Meal
Very friendly and prompt
Main meal was good. Bread was terrible. Service was bad.
Our waiter was friendly and very personable. 3 out of the 6 meals were good. Not much flavor to 3 of the meals. The gnocchi was enjoyed by two patrons. My expectations were a bit higher as we had been so excited for a trip into the North End.
The food was amazing but unfortunately they were understaffed.
I loved the food, the server was awesome!! I would go back often.
Great food and amazing service!!! We would definitely return
Super tasty food. Had a good time. Nice service .
Short staffed but managed to get the orders in time. There were a few errors as staff was handling greater customer base. Overall a good experience
The food was great. The restaurant was packed. Service was slow.
Went on Christmas Eve. Very busy yet we were seated within a few minutes. Decided on just appetizers and a bottle of wine. Excellent food and service.
We went for Christmas Eve dinner and had a wonderful time! The food and service were excellent!
Wonderful place! Amazing food and great service. Would definitely return.
Fantastic food with some of the best service you will receive in Boston
Great food and service ! A must try in the North End !!
This was the first time my husband and I have had dinner there the food is amazing and the service was wonderful. Our waiter Steve was very helpful with menu suggestions. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We go back to Cantina Italiana every time we are in the North End. it is the most authentic, consistently good italian food we have found. our party of 5 had several different meals and all were excellent!
My favorite of the north end! The service is spectacular- great wine options and handmade pasta regularly! Our server Luigi Pier was a blast! Highly recommend
Always exceeds expectations, one of my wife’s favorite spots in the North End
Food was alright, not great. Good location and ambience
Been coming here since I was a child. This trip introduced my step daughter, husband and twin male grandchildren. It was perfect.
Greeted and sat promptly. Service was perfect. Courses were ordered all at once but were spaced out by the server Omar. Brushetta, chicken Parm, Cheese Ravioli were all fantastic.. finished with Tiramisu that was delicious!
Great experience! Our server, Judy is the best!
Went to cantina Italiana on 12/11 had 5 o’clock reservation. Checked in a little early and they seated us right away in the back. Nice atmosphere. Soon as we were seated water and bread with dipping oil on the table. Waitress came over soon after and took our drink order.
Ordered the Arancini app and it was delicious. I ordered chicken saltimbocca and wife ordered Fettuccine Alla Carbonara. Portions were generous for price. All food was fantastic and came out rather quickly in about 15 or 20 minutes. Had the Tiramisu for dessert it was delicious as well
Would go back again and bring some friends.
Great meal, exceptional service (Judy!) and a lively vibe. Everyone was very happy with their choices I had the Gnocchi w/mushrooms and truffle oil and they were fantastic! Nicely priced wine list and an all around lovely time!
The food was ok, atmosphere was loud. Small place with many tables. The service was great.
Celebrated my moms 75th bday. The staff was excellent! Super attentive, food was great and we will be returning!
This restaurant is very crowded, they put 6 people in tiny booths that should fit 4 people.
Best Italian food in Boston.
Not the trendiest but the best best food!
The personnal set ice and attention to detail was excellent
The service was excellent!!!!!
Had a reservation for 6pm but did not get seated until 6:25. Then put our food order in at 6:35 and it took about an hour to get our food. The food was great but the duration of waiting was a little much. It seems they took far too many reservations than they could handle for the night. Very loud place. I would not go here again on a Friday or Saturday night and endure a wait like that again, especially after making a reservation.
Seemed like they may have overbooked but the owner took care of us! GREAT food!
Party of 4 4:30 reservation Sat night. Hostess acted like we we're annoying her for coming in. Waitress was very sweet. Appetizers: calamari average could be from bertuccis in norwood. Entree Spaghetti and meatballs (can't screw that up right?). Meatballs ok again could be olive garden. Gravy was watery no flavor. Others had fettuccine said it was ok. 3 drinks. $180 tax and tip. I'd pass.
Worst service possible . Food however was great.
Average-above average Italian food. Solid choice.
