   We tried the tasting menu. It was excellent. Everything sourced in Canada well prepared and presented.

   Comfortable atmosphere with a business tinge and a beautiful view of Toronto. The service is top notch, attentive and knowledgeable without being bothersome. We ordered 6 dishes, 3 appetizers, 2 mains and 1 dessert. 1 of the appetizers was good(French onion soup), the oysters tasted slightly off(not rancid, just not good), and the atlantic salmon was boring. The main pork duo(tenderloin and crackling) was quite good, but the halibut was too simple, it was very well cooked but the sauce was one dimensional. The black forest cake was impeccable. Overall we were disappointed considering the premium price. We will be unlikely to return.

   Canoe was amazing! I took my mum for a late Mothers Day when she was visiting and we could not fault them. We will definitely be back

   Nice tasting experience… Food and wine are exquisite. It offers a combination of elegant and vanguard atmosphere. Service was outstanding and the view of Toronto from the 54th floor made it romantic for a dinner date.

   My husband and I got married at Canoe three years ago during the end of the pandemic. We chose this venue for the views and the quality of food that was offered at the time. Since moving away from Toronto and returning home, we chose to spend our wedding anniversary at Canoe. Unfortunately, after a long evening of poor service and subpar food I am disappointed and shocked by this level of professionalism from Canoe. I honestly do not think I can recommend this restaurant or venue to anyone. The tasting menu holds onto the same Canadiana theme that it has always held onto for years now, with slight variations, but nothing innovative or new. Our East Coast oysters were confusingly warm while my roasted scallop was raw in the centre, and the presse taco during the main was extremely dry and bland. I will give praise to the stuffed morels which I thought were delightful. To top it off, our server was cold. I could see him interacting with the tables on either side of us, chatting it up, while barely checking in on us. This is not the Canoe I remember. With a decline in quality and value for fine dining, I cannot see how Canoe can continue to grow in the culinary space.

   You could ask for better views. We were lucky enough to have a reservation as the sun went down so got to see the city skyline day and night. The staff we friendly and attentive and not pretentious at all. They were informative and gave recommendations when asked. The food was beautiful. We opted for the asparagus and lamb tartare as starters and mains were halibut and beef. The flavours we sublime.

   We had the chef tasting menu and the food was great the only criticism was that the amount of wine that we received with the wine paring was not enough wine to enjoy with each serving. The cost of the meal for two was over $700 and it was enough that they didn’t need to cheap out on the wine.
