Excellent food!! Great service!! Very informative of the authentic Italian food
We like the food and find the servers to be attentive and friendly.
The Tuna was undercooked and the waiters seem to be overly focused on bringing out each tables meals all the same time. The results are that they don't seem to check in on you much. It seems that we had to wait a while to order and then get their attention when we had a problem. Certainly, they were good at solving the problem once they were made aware.
Great specials, Tuscan Italian food. Outstanding flavors. Definitely coming back for more!
Highly exceeded our expectations! The flavors were exquisite, and the service excellent. Very family friendly and accommodating to our two under two. Could not more highly recommend!
Everyone's meal was delicious. Reason for the 4-star was: a) the chocolate mouse cake was a big disappointment. very small and not really a cake. Candied peanuts were so-so. Almost tasted like the peanuts were old and soft; b) the scallop entre is no longer available. What a bummer. I always considered it one of the best dishes on the menu and which the chef and kitchen cooked to perfection.
The server AND service were truly outstanding. Very prompt, very natural and friendly. Recommendations were excellent in terms of wine and entres.
We went there for my husband's birthday, got there a little early so we could sit at the bar and have a drink first. We had Old Fashioneds and loved the knowledge of our bartender Brad, that we decided to have our dinner at the bar too. He steered us to great food!! My husband ordered off the changing seasonal menu, getting the liver paté that was on grilled bread and the wild boar ragu. Both were excellent!! I had the parmesan risotto and the balsamic glazed beef short ribs. To say they were FANTASTIC would be putting it mildly!! I will dream about those short ribs!! 😋We capped off the night with 2 different dessert martinis! The service was top notch too! Brad knew his drinks and wines and gave us wonderful suggestions for both what we drank and ate!! Will definitely by heading back there often!!
Came here for our anniversary dinner and really loved it. Good ambience , good food and good service. Highly recommend it
It was a great impromptu date night with my fiancé. Ollie the server made it very fun. He was definitely not the typical "Lake Wobegon" type of Ollie though. His service and personalty are awesome. The food was delicious. Recommend the roasted brussels sprouts and the lamb bolognese pasta.
As always Campiello was excellent. Wonderful food and great service. You never feel rushed and the wait staff anticipates your every wish,
Food is consistently good and service was excellent. Like the fact they change the menu fairly frequently and also have an interesting wine list.
Our server Scott was fabulous. From the minute we got there, until we left the service was impecable. We had brought our family there to celebrate two of their birthdays. None of us had ever been to this restaurant, but it came highly recommended. Each of us were amazed at the fabulous food, and the great service. We will definetly be back again-real soon !
the service was very good - both the waitress and the assistant were very pleasant and attentive. the manager made it by to see how we were enjoying the dining experience - always a good thing. the food was outstanding even tho we did sides. I will definitely make the trip from s mpls back out to enjoy this place
Hostess Emily greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. Later she was seen helping with serving which indicates a staff working together to provide superior service. Our server, Ole, explained our choices well and did a superb job in attending to our every wish. Food was outstanding delicious. This was maybe one of our top five dining experiences ever! Not kidding!
We (6 people or 3 couples) took our friend out to celebrate her Birthday. We like that they offer "DATE MENU" that has fixed price for 3 dishes meal. It was a lot of people in a restaurant despite Sunday evening. Restaurant setting facilitated pleasant conversation. We had good food and good time.
Delicious! My fifth visit to this restaurant and continue to be impressed!!! Food and service are terrific!
It had been several years since we dined at Campiello. We celebrated a birthday here and we were disappointed in the quality of the food. The exhaust system must have been malfunctioning; we could smell and see exhaust in the air when we were seated. Our clothes and jackets smelled so bad I had to bring them to the cleaners the next day.
Food was great from apps to dessert. Picky eater liked the marinara sauce. Eggplant Parmigana was the best my husbands ever had. Service helpful and engaging. Looking forward to our next visit.
My wife and I came here for Restaurant week prior to attending a show at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. The menu selection included a nice choice of appetizers (the Meatball Marinara was outstanding!), delicious main courses (think Pork Ribeye) and choice of three desserts. Everything was delicious and we also had a very good waitress, who served us well, even though we were there for RW. A memorable visit and we will plan to return for future special occasions.
Waitress was extremely helpful. I was not feeling well and she brought me out a drink to help settle my stomach.
This is a great place for a business lunch. Excellent service.
The food was just OK. Had there lunch special which was Buccatini and charred brussel sprouts.. It sounded interesting but seemed "tired". Too much oil and lack of flavor.
Bread is soft. Not good. Salad was OK.
Overall, for the price, it was good. Hopefully I will order better fresher dishes.
Annie was our server and she was GREAT! She epitomized the customer experience. A pleasure
Great food and excellent service. our appetizer of bruchetta was inovative and delicious. My wife and I both had a pasta dish and both were excellent and abundant. The pasta tasted like it was just made.
This restaurant us consistently good! Great atmosphere, beautiful, good food.
Food was spectacular & service was impeccable! Will definitely be going back, especially for special occasions. Wish the Campiello's in Uptown was still open.
Excellent as always!! The service is excellent as is the food! The ambience excellent! When you dine here you never want your meal to end! The waiter and waitresses remember us and of course we remember them also! In the summer it us ideal sitting on patio! Gorgeous feeling like you went away!!
Food was excellent! I love Italian food and the atmosphere made me want to go back to Italy.
We had Valentine's Day reservations for 7pm. We arrived a bit early but weren't seated until 7:30 due to lingering dinner guests, I suppose, but we could see many open tables. We were finally seataed at a nice table for 2 against the back wall. The room was quite chilly so we asked our waiter to raise the temp a degree or 2 but I don't think that happened. The Valentine's Day menu was a 3-course menu with plenty of options and something for everyone. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Carpaccio appetizer, which was sushi-style Ahi tuna on avocado aioli with Calabrian chilis. My wife had the House Salad with tomato, Calamata olives, chopped egg, cucumber, and feta cheese with a red wine vinaigrette. It's more of a Greek Salad than Italian, but good none the less. Both were absolutley delicious, fresh and plentiful! For entrees, I had the Veal Osso Buco with Milanese Risotto, a bone-in braised veal shank in a rich tomato-based sauce with creamy risotto. The veal was very tender, moist and delicious. My wife ordered a medium-rare Hanger Steak with roasted carrots. The steak was nicely charred and a bit undercooked but the carrots were literally black. We both had the classic Tiramisu for dessert. It was oddly served in a tulip glass with large chocolate shavings over the top. It looked great but the taste was bland with no coffee or additional chocolate flavor in the underlying mouse. A few lady fingers lined the bottom of the glass. When the waiter asked how we liked it and told him there was a lack of flavors, he said they add 2 kinds of liquor - rum and a coffee liquer - but we didn't taste it. I think the holiday rush caused some of our issues as this is one of our "go to" restaurants.
A little noisy but what can you expect on valentines. Waitress was very good and took great care of us. The food was good. The selections made by my partner were better than mine but we shared so all was good.
Went last night for the Valentine's Day dinner, set menu $65.00 pp. Bit of a rip-off as I half expected. On any given night if you order the most expensive app. or salad and the most expensive pasta or main and then the most expensive desert the ticket would be $60.00 pp max, likely less. Would have been smart to include a glass of prosecco for the special occasion. The place was packed with couples and it was a bit of "lets get them in and out" experience.
It was Valentine's Day. There was no mention on Open Table about a limited menu nor did the restaurant mention a limited menu when they called to confirm the reservation. Never mentioned a limited menu! I am a vegetarian. The amuse bouche was not vegetarian, and no replacement was offered. I do not eat beets, and that was the only vegetarian option. The waiter asked the chef if he would make eggplant parmesan for me, and the chef agreed to make it. The eggplant was brought to the table RAW. There was melted cheese and hot red sauce on top of it, however, my knife wouldn't even cut into the eggplant. Completely raw. Since it was Valentine's Day, I said I would take the eggplant home and cook it at a later time. The restaurant was extremely busy, so I did not want to send the meal back to the kitchen to be recooked. The table next to me was already discussing, with the manager, their displeasure about their meal. The waiter simply took my meal and my husband's (same raw eggplant parmesan) and put them in a box. And we were charged the $65 per person prix fixe for what was essentially simply a salad and dessert.
This was so disappointing, frustrating, disgusting. If I hadn't bought gift cards in December, I probably would not go back to this restaurant, but I will definitely stay away on a holiday.
Campiello has to be one of favorite restaurants in the twin cities. Consistently good food, great service and a great selection of wine. They also have a great Happy Hour - in warmer weather, the patio is awesome.
Always a great meal. Staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable. The soups are fantastic. Mortadella pizza was excellent. Have dined here many times and this restaurant is a great example of how 5 star cuisine and great service make for a very memorable experience every time. Best restaurant in town.
Definitely an off night for a restaurant I generally like. We were freezing all during dinner although we changed tables once. The door to the terrace really needs to be insulated better. ( or else the heat wasn’t working)Our waitress and bus boy managed to only appear and interrupt when we were deep in conversation but were not around when we wanted something. Everything seemed a bit off kilter in the restaurant. Maybe the manager that night? Dinner was ok, not quite as good as usual.
The food was delicious and authentic. Service was fantastic. Would go back and recommend.
Great dinner and service! Chef was receptive to changing up a menu item and server didn’t hesitate to inquire. Will definitely return!
Great support and service and an excellent meal made this a happy occasion. Thanks to the Campiello staff!
our waitress was very good. She was knowledgeable about the specials and ingredients. Made recommendations and was attentive. Atmosphere was good. good place for a business lunh
Great venue for business discussions. Classy meals and nice surroundings, well populated but not crowded, can talk and enjoy your conversation all while enjoying a top class meal. I want all my meetings at Campiello!
Enjoyed the evening with good wine from Lombardy, good food(loved the salmon and Gnocchi), and good service. Always satisfied with regional food options!
