My wife and I went to the restaurant for date night. I believer the owner was there and was very attentive. The waitress was so-so---not very energetic or helpful. The food was very good although not memorable. It was an enjoyable experience but not an A.
Always enjoy Caffe Luna. The Tortelli Crostacci is a winner. Can't remember the specific dessert we shared but it was also excellent. The owner stops at every table numerous times to see if everything is perfect. Great service. Just wish they served hard liquor
For the prices I would have expected the portion sizes to be a bit larger. Parking was a challenge.
Great food and very reasonable prices. The owner is very friendly and makes sure you have a perfect visit. Highly recommend.
Nothing special. Nice enough interior but food was more like an upscale Olive Garden. Given all of the better nearby options I would not go back.
We love Cafe Luna!!!! Always great food and service and you can't beat their lunch menu and prices!
Love Cafe Luna. Always perfect in every way. My happy place
One of my favorite Raleigh restaurants! Food is always delicious and well prepared. Great pasta dishes and nice wine list.
Very cute place with excellent food. The menu has a good variety of pasta, fish, meat...and everything we ordered was prepared exactly as requested. The service was excellent as well.
Great dinner and service. Perfect for before the Symphony.
Dining at Caffe Luna is consistently a delight. The food, the hospitality, the lovely historic building all lead to a charmed and satisfying meal!
Caffé Luna has quickly become my favorite spot for a delicious Italian meal in Raleigh. The ambiance is charming - large windows and walls adorned with the owner’s wife’s impressionist paintings - and the food is consistently exquisite. The owner, Parker, is a consummate restauranteur and always gracious. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant for a fun and relaxed date, friendly lunch, or comfortable business meal amid a busy day of meetings.
Loved the atmosphere, very quaint and food very was good. Only negative is that the tables to seat 4 are small and somewhat crowded.
The best Italian food in the triangle! I will continue to come back.
Caffe Luna never disappoints whenever we go there. The food and customer service is great.
Great value - great food at reasonable prices. Lasagna was light and delicious. The grouper with pasta dish was wonderful.
Positives: The dishes my wife and I enjoyed were both very good and at a reasonable price. Wine selection was good, and for a restaurant our bottle was also reasonable-priced. The servers (one in training) were attentive, knowledgeable and nice, and we enjoyed our evening.
Less-positive: Noise level could use some attenuation - it was difficult to carry on a conversation, and since we were their for our wedding anniversary it could have been more intimate. And, when I made the reservation I indicated it was our anniversary (and also told both hostesses upon arrival) but nothing was done to acknowledge that. Worse, our daughter called and spoke with the Manager (and left with him her AMEX number) to have a dessert & champagne delivered for after-dinner celebration - never came.
Too loud for a date, might be fun for a get together with friends. Very reasonably priced.
Good was brought quickly to the table, great drink selection. Art on the walls was a great visual touch. Warm welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent food! However, the portions are not very large so if you are wanting to leave stuffed you may need to get a few appetizers along with your meal. Great location and perfect for a date!
Noise was over the TOP! It distracted from our enjoyment of out meal.
No other restaurant in Raleigh has been this consistent in quality and service over the past 20 years. Their pink cream sauce is the best thing and what I dream about. The pace is leisurely and non-hurried so say something if you need to make a show and they will oblige. The wines may be the best deal around and I just can't say enough good things.
Great food - had the grilled salmon. It was delicious. All of the staff were very friendly and prompt, from the owner to the hostess to the servers to the bus staff. Couldn’t ask for a nicer evening out.
Excellent service and food. The ambiance was good and the plates came very quickly. Very reasonably priced as well.
I have been eating at Cafe Luna for over 10 years. I consider it the best restaurant in Raleigh. The service, the food, the atmosphere is the trifecta of excellence.
Food was fantastic and the restaurant is very attractive. The noise level unfortunately made conversation almost impossible
The food was AMAZING!! Can’t wait until next time!
Excellent service and as always the food was fantastic. One of our favorite places in Raleigh!
This place just gets better and better. It’s soooo good, this was my 4th or 5th time I’ve been here and I’ll keep coming back.
Great dinner as usual!
Caffe Luna is a classic Italian restaurant. The food is good, not great, but it’s an excellent value. In my categories, I would say CL is family friendly, not pretentious, classic food done in a way to make the entire family happy. No culinary adventures, but well prepared and in generous proportions. Wait staff was good, although the entrees arrived before we had finished the salads. The chocolate gelato dessert is a must order if you like chocolate at all - delicious! Good, fairly priced wine list that’s heavy on Italian, as it should be. We’ll be back, and we’ve recommended CL to family members with children. It’s good for the whole range from families to older couples (like us).
Delicious food, as always! Prompt, friendly, attentive service. All at a reasonable price, competitive with national chains, but in an independent locally owned and operated restaurant where the owner greets you at the door or at your table. It is our favorite restaurant in Raleigh and our go-to restaurant for special occasions.
Best pasta in the triangle!
Food was excellent and truly couldn’t get better prices! Will 100% be returning!
Great food... loud, hard to converse.
The food was to die for and a great value! Our waitress was excellent and knowledgeable about the wine. The only downside would be it was a bit loud. But with the amazing food it is easy to overlook the noise level.
I got the Fiocchi, a pasta stuffed with cheese and pear, and will definitely be going back again for a second time!
Food was mediocre at best, but for the price it was not worth it. Both pasta sauces were very watered down and had very little flavor. Had a good amount of protein but not enough vegetables mixed in. The ambience was OK but the Decour looked like a companies break room.
First time dining at cafe luna. Great food and great place. The owner let us know there was a slight delay with our dinner as they were hosting a large charity dinner next door. He offered us wine but we refused, however we accepted dessert and the apple pie was fantastic. Overall great experience and will go back.
I have enjoyed many meals here. The service is always wonderful and the food is exceptional. I would recommend Cafe Luna to anyone looking for a wonderful meal with impeccable service. You will not be disappointed
The food was absolutely delicious, but our waitress took 30 min to find her way to our table to take our order.
