Most reliable and dependable spot in KCMO for brunch. Possibly the only restaurant I've ever been to where I've never had a bad meal. I come here 4-5 times a year. Don't bypass the Bloody Mary.

The food was absolutely amazing! The cocktails were just as perfect! Our service was great! We went there for brunch on Saturday and we are still discussing the food on Monday.

Food was OK, but the service was extremely slow. Even once the staff finally came to the table, it took a long time to get our food and check. The strangest part was that there hardly were any other customers in the restaurant.

The Porchetta was way too fatty, with very little pork. A big disappointment since until now I have never had a bad meal at this classy restaurant. The chef is new, and needs to hear this criticism. Limited gluten-free options during this Valentine’s Day dinner.

Cafe Sebastienne NEVER fails to deliver! The food from the new chef is a great compliment to the Cafe as well as to all patrons. The ambiance cannot be beat; the entire experience is a tantalizing foray into the art of food!

This is truly one of the best restaurants in KCMO. Service always excellent. Atmosphere amazing. Menu ever-changing, fresh, diverse, interesting and satisfying. Lunch, dinner, brunch or date night, this is a safe bet always.

Café Sebastienne is back!!!

We were regulars of the restaurant before the tragic loss of Executive Chef Jennifer Maloney. This is the first time we have been back since, and are we ever glad we went.

New Executive Chef Remy Ayesh certainly had some big shoes to fill. She impressed us and we are convinced that she is a worthy and gifted choice, and she is a perfect fit for this uniquely charming restaurant. Her talents were evident in every dish we ordered. The featured soup,, tomato and artichoke with a cream base and cheese topping, was bursting with flavor. The salads were unique and delicious, each highlighted by mouth watering dressings and particularly flavorful cheeses ( no surprise since Chef Remy honed her skills at Chicago’s landmark Spiaggia) The swordfish was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and each of the sides, including the butternut squash polenta , were r tasty and well prepared. And the Olive Cake was the perfect ending to an exquisite dining experience.

We left feeling that Jennifer Maloney would be proud of her replacement, and would encourage her loyal regulars to support this talented and charming young chef.

The food was fine. The bloody mary has changed since last visit. It needs to change back. Our visitor from Munich was impressed and enjoyed the experience.

I was insulted by this establishment. They called me after I ate lunch there today and accused me of not paying. I told them I paid $40 cash for a $30 lunch for 2 people, rec’d a $5 and 5 one’s for change and left a $6 tip. They put me on hold, came back in several minutes and said “oh, the waitress found the money”. No apologies, nothing. I will not return. They have lost a long time customer of many, many years. I’m still fuming at being accused of stealing and no apology.

Everything was wonderful except one thing was not clear...there were only 6 of us, 3 couples. The bills had 20% added as tip. That would have been fine if we were told that, but we were not, either by the server or on the menu. We are all 20% or more tippers. I feel that it should have been said to us at delivery of tab, at reservation or written on the menu.

Another OUTSTANDING dining experience at this very special place. We do not get there as often as we like but every time we do go, we remind ourselves to go more often. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and top rate. The food is creative, delicious and healthy. Super experience!! Thank you!

The open airiness of it is wonderful. I had the best mussels I have ever tasted. Fresh not chewy. The vegetable frittata was excellent also I am told. The big biscuit I am told was a little spicy but they still enjoyed it. Excellent coffee!

What a wonderful meal my friend and I had! I chose the pick 3 combo, which allowed me to sample a few different things. (I wanted to try them all)! The food was very fresh, appealing in presentation, and delicious! Jorge, our server, was great. Finally, I enjoyed trying the unique Olive Oil Cake, and I was NOT disappointed! I will be back!
