We always enjoy Cafe Mozart. Great menu and wine list. Love the ambiance and old world charm of the place. I’m German...food here is just like Mom used to make!
Alaways a lovely experience at Cafe Mozart. We sat outside in the peaceful courtyard anchored by a beautiful splashing fountain.
Beautiful lunch experience with forever friends. Quiche, salad, dessert.... all delicious. Service and ambiance perfect. Looking forward to coming back soon.... hopefully for brunch!
The food was fabulous. Live piano music was great. Wait staff were terrific (Yeah, Jared and Kara!) We live 90 miles away but will come back again!
A very nice establishment with great food and wonderful service. Out door dining is great, but you are right next to the parking lot....that's the only reason for 4 stars on overall. You wont be disappointed.
I love this restaurant! Everything is always perfect!
It was a beautiful nite for dinner. Doors open and sounds of the fountain made the spot perfect for a special dinner. The piano music on Friday and Saturday nite is lovely. The lamb and special trout almondene was delicious...as well as the complementary dessert, as it was our anniversary. Thank you Cafe Mozart.
This was our first visit to Cafe Mozart and we were very happy with the experience. We ate on the covered patio at the back of the restaurant. It was shady and quiet. On Friday evening there is live piano which was very nice. Classics. Some more modern tunes.
The food was good. I'm concerned that the vegetables may have been frozen but I can't confirm that. My beef Wellington was excellent and my wife's scallops were also to notch.
We will be back.
We had been here a few years ago so picked Cafe Mozart for our anniversary. When we arrived at 6:30 there were two other tables. The waiter sat us at our table, said he would bring water then disappeared. We ended up leaving after 20 minutes and went to Sundried Tomato and had fabulous service and food.
Love this place!!
Bread pudding! Amazing!
Food and service were amazing. Highly recommend. From the ingredients to the sauces to the dessert - every bite was special. A must try culinary experience. Looking forward to returning and continue working through the menu.
Great food, beautiful live piano music....only negative is that by 8:30 it clears out, & tho the servers do not rush u... u feel like u are keeping them. Make your res. For 7:00 or earlier! Great place!!
We had a delightful evening. The server was attentive and helpful. We ate the Duck Breast and the special seafood for the evening - both were excellent, but the highlight was the delicious cauliflower soup!
Delicious food, great service, quiet patio seating, and a great place to enjoy lunch with our human and canine family!
They even served our 4 legged buddy a nice treat and fresh water bowl, without even asking.😁
Thanks, Caira, for your kindness and efficiency!
We were meeting friends for a birthday get-together and drove from North Tustin. It was the best meal I have had in months! It was so worth the drive and I would love to go again soon. Not only was the food delicious but the staff was friendly and helpful.
Lovely restaurant. Delicious food. Making desserts. Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service.
Wonderful place for a multi generational Mother’s Day!
This restaurant was delightful. Although very busy the service was top notch. The piano music from a talented pianist made conversation possible and provided a pleasing background. Definitely will go to Cafe Mozart again.
Loved Cafe Mozart! Service was a little slow but other than that it was awesome. The venison medallion with a red wine juniper sauce was amazing. We split it and it was plenty. The house salad dressing was light and tasty. At the suggestion of a regular who sat next to us we had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was spectacular!! Never had better. We almost fell off our chairs it was so good. The Chef's Wife is the pastry chef. I'd love to go to their house for the holidays! we can't wait to come back!
Excellent food. Beer selections to accompany the meal. Wonderful piano music playing.
Delicious food & great service as usual !
This was a great meal
Crabcakes starter were wonderful
Delicate seasoning did not overpower the star of the dish
Endive salad with duck was spectacular
You cant prepare duck better than this and the endive was the perfect compliment
Seabass special was equally wonderful, perfectly cooked and complimented by the sauce and veggies
Dessert equally excellent and the perfect ending to an outstanding dinner
All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made the evening special
If you live in LA, or San Diego, as we do, its well worth the drive to San Juan Capistrano to go to Cafe Mozart
Thankyou all at Cafe Mozart
Celebrated my birthday. Excellent food. Enjoyed the piano player. Cozy restaurant.
Overpriced. Food was lacking in taste and presentation.
Came with good friends for some good food which we had. Wine was good as well. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating for my gluten sensitivity. We enjoyed the piano music and a nice evening together. We ordered the special catch of halibut, the schnitzel with spätzle, scallops and the chicken wellington. Each one was delicious! We would recommend Café Mozart. Additionally , two years ago we hosted our son and daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner there. Café Mozart made it a perfect evening even though it was pouring rain outside, they fit us all in to the bigger room off to the side. 70 of us had a very good time and it was a success thanks to all the detail that Café Mozart staff paid attention to. I'd highly recommend them as well for any special occasion you may have.
Hadn't been to Cafe Mozart for awhile, but it was everything it was advertised. The service was friendly and professional. The food was just outstanding in every way. It made for an extraordinary Valentine's Day date.
My husband and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here.
The food and service was good. I was just disappointed with the price and they had a special menu that they failed to disclose in their website. I previewed their website before I made the reservation. I was shocked when we arrived to see the price was doubled. They doubled the price which was not acceptable. The ambiance was not great either. It’s not a romantic place to celebrate a couples special occasion, it’s good for group not for couples. If I knew that they will double the price, we would of gone some where else.
Hadn’t been there for many years, dined there for Valentines Day and there were a lot of options on the prefixe menu. Great ambiance in a world of many loud restaurants so in favor these days. Will return soon!
It was our Anniversary and we wanted to try something different. We were so glad to experience Cafe Mozart!
We made a reservation on open table before driving to the restaurant. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told that they hadn’t seen our reservation yet and they wrote down our name - and we were asked to come back 20 minutes later. We did and it took another 15 minutes to be seated. Clearly the restaurant was understaffed as it looked like there were some open tables . The restaurant lighting was also bright - way too bright!!!
On the positive side, the service was attentive once we were seated, the piano player was great, and apple strudel dessert was yummy.
They were understaffed that night. But the help did their best to accommodate. Food was excellent, some of the best lamb I have ever had. Wine least is weak but acceptable. Might have handled the understaffed situation better as people arrived but our waitress was working hard and was nice, as I noticed the others working hard under the circumstances. I think this was just a rare issue with understaffed and slammed. Would come back. Had not been for maybe 20 years even though lived in the area the whole time. Will definitely come back. Will bring my own corkage though.
Food , service and atmosphere are terrific. The menu is wonderful. I had the Wienerschnitzel. The only other restaurant I know that serves such a great Wienerschnitzel is in Vienna. It was a superb dining experience. The piano player provided just the right music!
The waiter worked really hard but the kitchen was REALLY slow also there was not Not enough help.
This is my second time with Cafe Mozart. We came to celebrate our anniversary. I love the live piano playing most! The restaurant is a little bit old fashioned but that’s what I like about it. We ordered duck liver, escargot and beef Wellington. Those were great! I’ll definitely recommend it and come back.
Cafe Mozart has a cozy atmosphere for dinner with friends. The piano playing provided a great atmosphere for our dinner and allowed for comfortable conversation. The food was authentic and the chef tended to our requests excellently. We will definitely visit Cafe Mozart again for lunch or dinner.
Solid rendering of classic German and Continental dishes. Excellent choice of German beers. The live piano playing of evergreen standards adds to the enjoyable dinner.
Great spot with Austrian food , walking distance from the Mission. outdoor dining is available in a courtyard setting set off from the the street. Delightful food, great beer selection , and desercs are not to be missed.
We were there for lunch, and the schnitzel sandwich and salad from the lunch menu were both simply prepared but outstanding. Save room for dessert . Recommended!
The enclosed picture is looking away from the restaurant towards the courtyard as seen from their outdoor seating area.
A lovely place for lunch. Excellent bread pudding.
Nick was an excellent server. The gourmet meal is always delicious. I will always be a repeated customer.
What a wonderful find! Have lived in area for 3 years and our first visit to restaurant was absolutely delightful. Great service, expertly prepared food, nice ambiance and able to have a conversation without huge noise. There was a piano player who played great dinner music at just the right volume and it sure enhanced the dining experience. Don't miss this hidden gem!! Definitely go back
