I love this place! The food is always excellent, the service is impeccable, and the room is beautiful. It’s one of very few restaurants we will venture in to during this uncertain time because we feel comfortable that they are doing everything possible to provide a safe environment.
One of the best services I have had in a minute honestly.
They put raw garlic in the spaghetti squash which was jarring and uncomfortable. Other than that everything was amazing.
I’ve never been disappointed. Always great!
Food still excellent, service great. But we watched several drug deals go down across the street.
Always great food and service, love the apple-cheese-chive salad!
Everything is great as usual except for the huge service charge. And if you don’t notice it, you will tip 40% which I did more than once.
Pre-fixe meal. Steak was cold. Spent almost $400 on two for New Years with only two beers and a glass of wine. Server was great, very nice. Ginger rice was delicious. Overall, ok experience. Have been here before and it was great but will not go back for special occasions like NYE.
The New Year Eve’s menu offered unique and flavorful selections. Great job by the chef and team! Server was helpful and timely. Excellent choice for this NYE evening!
The setting is beautiful and relaxing whether with friends or a romantic night out. Beware there is a 22% surcharge in lieu of tipping. We had the New Year's Eve set price. The lamb chops were uneven and overcooked. The rest of the food was great.
We went for the New Year’s Eve meal. It was lovely. Great food & service. One hickup - tbr
Great ambience, service was good. Food was okay and bit overpriced.
Enjoyed our meal in an unrushed, quiet atmosphere- great all around!
The food is always excellent. We come down from Fargo just to go to Lurcat.
Always amazing food and ambiance! A wonderful long standing local staple!
Christmas Eve supper. Our server Emily was kindly attentive, food and drink were wonderful and the ambience a lovely setting. Only disappointment was Loring Park wasn’t lit up in winter as in years past
Had a wonderful time on Christmas Eve. Great atmosphere, great service. Good food! Beautiful
We had a lovely evening, but the food is expensive for what you get in return. The staff were very pleasant and we didn’t have to wait for our reserved table. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Overall it was a good experience with a high price tag.
Recently moved to the Loring Park area and wanted to check out Lurcat since it was just around the other side. Excellent service who clearly knew the menu and were happy to give recommendations. Food was outstanding, especially the steak tartare.
Wonderful experience. Good service snd very good food. Loved the chandeliers.
Great food! But it was so cold in there!! Brrr!
I’m sure it was a staffing problem but we had the worst service. Server never really checked in with us and we finally had to catch her to order. It just wasn’t great.
We ate in the bar area and love the ambiance and energy. The food is always magnificent and our server was attentive and friendly. It was a birthday celebration and we were given the Yummy donuts for desert. We were not rushed. A wonderful evening. The only negative is the 21% service fee added to the bill. The evening gets very expensive when you add the tip on to that.
As always, incredible. Service was great, every bite was amazing (starters, salads, entrees, dessert…) just perfect. It’s expensive but so worth it. Even got a fireworks show in Loring Park for our view. Loved every minute.
Delish! Cozy, friendly, professional!
Christmas family get together.
Food and service were great. Not sure I understand the 22% service fee. Can’t tell if the server gets any of that or not.
Like everything these days, it is a very expensive night out. I would save it for special occasions.
Great food and drink enhanced by fantastic service. Thank you!
LOVE Bar Lurcat!! Impeccable service and amazing bartenders!
felt too cold in the big dining room.
otherwise - a most enjoyable evening.
We love this place but $65 of tax and service charge on a $179 bill will make us think twice next time
Absolutely gem! If you've been looking for a great date place, don't hesitate to make a reservation at Cafe Lurcat. There are plenty of small plates that are top-notch that make it perfect for sharing. Make sure to order the Apple, Cheese, and Chive salad. Top it off with a delectable dessert. We tried the Chocolate Forest dessert and it was to die for. We only saw Dinner Plates come out from the kitchen, but they looked VERY good. Cafe Lurcat has several things of note: Mocktails (drinking is so socially ingrained, but for those that don't imbibe this is a nice addition), Vegetarian-friendly (Our small plate extravaganza only included only seafood and shellfish! Everything else was meat-free. We're not vegetarian, but have plenty of friends and family who are), and most importantly, they replaced tipping with a flat service charge. I like supporting businesses that support their employees. And if you are worried that the service is subpar because they don't depend on tips...simply not true here. The wait staff was excellent. Everyone that interacted with our table knew something about the food and beverages being served. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic.
We had an enjoyable evening preceding the concert with wonderful food, service, and ambience. And we appreciate the no tipping so staff are better supported equitably.
Lurcat already has many rave reviews, so let me just say that this is a classy place, with a fabulous view, sophisticated ambiance and great food. A place to impress.
I was looking forward to having a romantic dinner with my love prior to going to the orchestra. Lurcat nailed it.
The food was beautiful and delicious, the ambience was elegant, and our server was very considerate and knowledgeable.
We will be back in a few weeks before the next orchestra concert.
My husband and I had a romantic fine dining experience. The octopus appetizer, pear salad, cod, venison and found were all exceptional!! Our waitress, Amanda, was very attentive. Overall, I had a excellent birthday celebration!!!
A beautiful table overlooking the park during a snowstorm, very romantic. Best octopus appetizer we’ve ever had accompanied by excellent martinis. Great service,
The food and service were very good! The pear salad is awesome!!
Everything was superb- from the ambience, the food and the waitstaff. Will definitely be coming back!
