Café Des Beaux-Arts
Bowl of French Onion Soup
Cilantro and Green Onions, Lobster Sauce, served with Basmati Rice
with Grilled Shrimp and Diced Tomatoes
We’ve passed this wonderful cafe countless times before finally deciding to give it a try and are so happy we did. Great menu, very nice ambiance and attentive service. We’ve decided to go back for Sunday breakfast, just a few days after a wonderful mid-week dinner.
Another great meal with excellent service and the best patio!
Outstandung food and service! Thank you! 😊
Not sure how this qualifies as outdoor dining as it is really indoors with open windows. Restaurant is pretty dated. Food was very average and not worth the price. I will say that staff were very friendly and attentive.
Everyone was very personable and kind. The whitefish was delicious and I enjoyed the escargot! It’s all open inside with windows that open up towards the ceiling so you feel like your outside and eating in a true French cafe! ✈️💕
Spectacular French food!
Great time, wonderful food and service
Excellent as always! Food, service and atmosphere are perfect.
Very poor dinner experience. Four of us went on a Saturday night. Main outdoor area was full, so we were shuttled to the last table in the corner of the side area. Zero ambience. Waiter struggled to remember we were there in the outback. Food was a huge disappointment for all four of us. Raw, cold sand dabs. Paper thin swordfish, each with a table spoon dollup of mashed potatoes. Pasta dish looked miserable. I didn't ask our guest if it was as bad as it looked. We all passed on desert since none of us wanted to take a chance. We have had lunch salads there and they were all great.
Wasn't please with the table they kept trying to give us although I had spoken twice on the phone with them explaining that it was my wife Birthday on this day.
Had the spinach shrimp scallop salad and nothing like we have had in the past. The scallops used to be diver scallops now bay scallops very small in size. Not the same ----
Started with the French onion soup again nothing like we had remembered in the past.
Heavy on the bread and cheese very light to nothing on the broth. Very disappointing compared to the past years.
They did bring a wonderful Birthday dessert for the Birthday girl however. Very thoughtful of the management. Thank you ------
We enjoyed the food and service at a Window table for safety in the pandemic.
Maybe it was an off night. I ordered the steak su louvre med well. It first came to me totally rare. Then they took it back and it was done right. The pepper sauce was like someone dropped a canister of salt into it. I was too embarrassed to say anything, but, it was barely edible. All I tasted was salt no pepper. Also, the flourless chocolate cake seemed like it was around for the week. I thought it was supposed to be light and fluffy and melt in your mouth. It was dense and almost like eating heavy fudge. It also seemed like they were eager for us to hurry up and leave. Maybe it was an off night and all the workers wanted to go home.
Amazing food and service! We’ll be back😀
Excellent French cuisine, as always 😎 Also friendly, attentive staff
One of our favorite restaurants in Palm Desert. The food is always superb, however, the wine list requires some much needed upgrading. This visit, the Veal Scaloppini was simply delicious.
Good value for the price, service was very friendly.
The staff was incredibly accommodating about our choice of table and helpful with adjusting things on the menu. Very attentive. The food was barely ok. Not expensive, which softened the blow.
Always love a night out here! The patio is very large, and plenty of good "social distancing" The food is wonderful and all the servers delightful!
Handsome restaurant with a large menu on El Paseo in Palm Springs
Superb menu. Everything was excellent!
Great night out. Set on the patio, We will definitely be back.
love this place...so cozy...the food is GREAT!! and the service wonderful
I had escargots which were a tad heavy on whatever alcohol was used in the recipe, but still good. I also had the duck l’orange. The dark meat was excellent, the breast portion was very dry, to the point where it was so hard to cut that I thought there was a bone when there wasn’t. The server was very gracious and offered me dessert on the house, but I’m not a dessert person. My companion had ravioli and enjoyed them. I would definitely go back and try something else.
Delicious traditional French cooking with an extensive menu and beautiful views of the lights of El Paseo at night. You'll feel transported to a very special place.
Beaux Arts is a regular stop on our trips to Palm Desert, breakfast and dinner.
The sand dabs were perfect. My wife said her lamb chops were excellent. The only negative was that the escargot were over-cooked.
really good food and service. Good value. We'll keep coming back.
Great service and the food was great! They have a lovely location in Palm Desert right on El Paseo. Will definitely be back!
Café Des Beaux-Arts is our go to restaurant for French food in the desert. Love their soupe aux oignons and escargots. Wait staff is very professional. Wine prices are reasonable.
Loved it! Will be back. Everything was great and the service was efficient and friendly.
Always great food and wonderful service.
All of our meals were outstanding! Servers very attentive. Great French food at reasonable prices. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Not as good as last time
It was a pleasant - albeit not very French - experience. Food was quite good but some items not made to order but pre-prepared. Mussels and clams were excellent and shrimp crepes very good. Profiteroles were good too.
Everything was great!!!
experience was excellent from coming in the door to going out the door.
Cafe Des Beaux-Arts is a rare French restaurant that's great food for great value. My husband and I both had delicious fish specials, which were around $30 each including salad. On El Paseo in Palm Desert that's a deal. Very attentive service rounds out this popular restaurant.
A birthday celebration. Service the best and our food was great.
Always great! Consistently good food, not fancy but interesting and good tasting and especially good value. Love their nightly specials which include a soup or salad. Location is great and the view of El Paseo is entertaining.
Nice outdoor patio seating. Excellent wait staff and delicious dishes.
