Love Ca'Dario for whenever we come to Santa Barbara for a show at The Lobero. Convenient and always a great treat!

This restaurant disappointed us. We have been coming to Santa Barbara for years but never tried it. We had a reservation for 7:30. We got there on time but did not get a table until after 8 PM. The menu did not match the menu on the web site. So, I was looking forward to carpaccio as described on line: thin beef with capers, onions and Parmesan cheese shards. Instead they served it with a prime rib style horseradish cream. Not traditional and less than perfect. I had quail with mushroom sauce on polenta. The polenta was lumpy Ana not very tasty. Service was only fair. I was truly disappointed in this restaurant. Maybe going on Saturday night was my mistake. I try not to go out for dinner on Saturday when restaurants are crowded and need to get the food out fast.

Wonderful restaurant, amazing food, great team service for the tables. The only drawback was that we were seated at a 2 person table adjacent to the door that connects the two rooms they have and that is also where the staff hangs out and talks and so it was really not a good place to enjoy each other's company. I should have asked if another table was available but didn't.

Fantastic bread, Seafood Risotto special, Ragu Bolognese, and a very good Valpolicella available by the glass. Portions are large enough to leave full, or stuffed. Quarters were mildly cramped, which isn't too unusual for Downtown Santa Barbara, but the ambience was great. A little on the pricey side, but has the quality to back it up.

We had dinner on a very busy Saturday night during the film festival. The place was hopping but very well organized. The hostess did a great job handling a lot of very anxious diners ! We were seated at the time of our reservation after a drink at the stand up bar. My bride had the Ahi special, I had the seafood risotto special. Both were well prepared and delicious. Our waitress needed a pair of skates to take care of multiple tables in both dining rooms but she is a professional and did a great job. We have eaten here several times and we will be back

Another visit to Ca'Dario before the Film Festival. We had a reservation and were kindly accommodated when asked to move from the very noisy back room to the main dining room. Unfortunately, like our last visit prior to the SBIFF, we had to wave down a server to take our initial order for cocktails/wine. And though the server did a fine job we were concerned that not enough attention was given to make our experience a memorable one. It appears that, again, attention to customer service needs to become a priority. Perhaps Film Fest week may be too overwhelming. Still hoping the staff can work on their customer service.

We love this restaurant and frequently end up there if we are in Santa Barbara at dinner time. The eggplant appetizer was delicious, as was the bread, mousse dessert special, and pappardelle alla boscaiola - wide noodles in a light tomato cream sauce - really good. The staff is very attentive without being intrusive, and were patient - my daughter is a very slow eater (it wasn't a busy night though.) In the past we've also had very good ravioli with crunchy sage and about the best mac and cheese I've ever tasted. This place is an easy walk from one of the city parking structures. Great little restaurant.

As always food is good and prices reasonable. In such a small restaurant I'd expect the service to be more prompt and warm (friendly). Still good value and would recommend to others.

Despite having a reservation we waited almost 30 minutes before being seated. The space is small, crowded, and noisy however the food and service balance it out and make it a worthwhile dining experience.

Well...., what can I say??
Adequate, for a simple meal with friends.
Pasta dish for one of us, was delish. The gluten free pizzas forn3 of us, arrived on regular dough.
No one acknowledged the mistake. No offer to comp. No water refills. And, no service of refilling our glasses of our $80 bottle of wine. At best.... pathetic!
Get it together!!

We like Ca Dario but will not be returning soon. The noise level is very very high. All four of us had to yell to be heard and came home horse. Too bad.

First time in many years and first time for lunch. Food was okay but didn't measure up to the price. Late lunch, not a lot of patrons. Service was okay but I think we had the second string. After large party left the back room, first stringer checked on us and gave us the feel of what we should have had from the other. We probably won't hurry back.
