AWESOME food but unfortunately the service was not good. The waiter brought bottled water (and charged us for it) that we didn't ask for. He was not attentive and forgot when we asked for things e.g., we needed a fork and I had to go find him after a very long wait.
The waiter was also not friendly at all and made no eye contact.
Nice hotel - inside was super cute and even outdoor seating but because I was a holding a puppy, we sat on the side - where there were only two tables and we had cars going by. So that diminished our birthday celebration a bit. Food was pretty good.
Such a cute spot. Food was delicious - get the ravioli!
Great spot. The food was delicious.
The smoked salmon was amazing, unlike any salmon I have had prior to this experience.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at, period. Full stop. The menu was a little overwhelming but the server made recommendations that were incredible.
Best Downtown Italian Restaurant and experience in Santa Barbara! There is one in Goleta and Montecito too! The food is outstanding and a large varied menu. Service is excellent. Both indoor and outdoor dining is lovely. Great Wine and Cocktail selection.
The pistachio cannoli, dessert, is perfection!
Love, love, love this restaurant.
The ravioli is almost an urban legend in our house with how good it is in our minds...my wife and I almost started to think that we overhyped it from the last time we were here. But at the first bite, it was clear that the ravioli is still as good as we remembered, if not better.
Service was extremely fast and staff was incredibly friendly.
Great pasta. Nice Caprese. Good wine list
Overall, the food was decent. Nothing was particularly impressive. The waiter didn’t have a local wine recommendation so we made our own selection after a few moments quickly researching on Google and selected an amazing bottle of Grassini white wine. The music was a loudly playing yacht rock playlist. For the price tag on the bill, I was thinking the food should have been more flavorful and memorable.
Went there for special occasion dinner. The appetizer's were good, the dessert was great, but their pastas were fantastic!
The food was great. Unfortunately, the former pizza restaurant next door is being remodeled and the construction noise in the "back" room was really loud some, but not all of the time. Our group was the first to arrive and could have chosen to sit anywhere. If the person who seated us had mentioned the construction next door, we would definitely have chosen to sit in the "main" room. Other than that, the restaurant and food are great.
Excellent, attentive servers. We weren’t rushed at all and had a very enjoyable time. The food was excellent, simple but very flavorful!
I had high hopes when I went to this restaurant given all the reviews. I don't know if we went on an off night or something (although, for a Saturday, it shouldn't be a off night). The staff was very friendly (but not attentive), which was the only good point. The martini was mediocre at best, the "daily special risotto" was so bland, mushy, and visually unappealing as possible. My lamb was flavorless; I didn't understand how that's possible. Adding salt to the lame vastly improved it, and adding a bowl of cheese to the risotto made is passable. All in all, very disappointing.
Small place and was very busy the server was so rude obviously due to the load of customers. No respect to customers, Rude and attitude. I had to leave. Will never consider to go back
This is a small, lovely restaurant on a charming side street in Santa Barbara. It was the first stop on our first out of town trip in more than a year! It didn’t disappoint. Like most restaurants during the pandemic, Ca’Dario has commandeered space on the street in order to keep diners safe. It was quite comfortable. We started with excellent cocktails, then shared a starter of delicious bruschetta with artichoke hearts. I had the lovely branzino perfectly cooked. My husband had risotto with shrimp and scallops that he loved. The service was perfect, attentive but not hovering. Our only regret is that we can’t come up more often from Pasadena.
Our favorite place in Santa Barbara! We go there a couple times a year and have for over a decade. The bolognese is the best I’ve ever had.
It was great. Food and service were amazing. The waiter went above and beyond to help accommodate our orders. Definitely coming back again
We were outside so it was not as noisy as it sometimes gets inside. Shared a great Bruschetta. Tortellacci alla panna? spinach pillows with a ham/cheese sauce was outstanding. So is Ravioli Al Burra e salvia? - This dish is the reason that I now grow Sage in my backyard and lightly crisp it to serve over my pumpkin ravioli and steaks. The rib eye was chewy, but the beans with it were great, as was the tiramisu. This is such a wonderful restaurant. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 star is that our waiter seemed to disappear when the restaurant got busy, never to be seen again. Another waiter (we were not his table,) came by later and took our dessert order.
Food was too salty and not authentic . The spritz was terrible. The service was awful
the food was excellent an Luis was the best. Always attentive and good sense of humor too. THanks
Delicious! Prompt courteous service.
We were looking for a lunch spot off the main touristy areas and this did not disappoint!! Excellent food- service- easy to park- loved it.
Amazing service, with wine recommendation and good explanation of the food. A great experience overall.
A lovely find for a last minute Father's Day dinner out. We had requested outdoor seating, but it was not available so they found us a table inside. Despite it being the late (8pm), staff was attentive and the pastas we had were delicious. Would highly recommend the pistachio gelato! Definitely will put it on our list of restaurants when we visit Santa Barbara.
One of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara. Great food and wonderful service. Family friendly.
In town for the weekend; recommended by friend who visits SB often.
The young man serving our table was excellent and did not rush us. Loved the calamari s. One order of fish was a bit dry.
There was a table of young women screaming. Much too loud. We wished your Mayotte de had spoken to them.
A good wine list with some varies in pricing which was nice. We requested a carafe and our server was very accommodating.
Definitely you will see us again. Thank you
As usual the food and service were good to excellent.
If the salad and the bruschetta bread were a little to “soggy” to our taste, “they nevertheless tasted good. Our main courses, rack of lamb and veal, were excellent and as requested, cooked to the perfect level of doneness. As for the service it was very professional, friendly and non-invasive. Overall we had an excellent evening and we certainly recommend this restaurant.
Some ratings were down a little bit due to COVID rules. Had a good time, service and foods.
The food is always very good. The service is now terrible. No one seems to know what to do. The old help was wonderful. The current team needs training.
We had a wonderful meal and the staff was very nice
If you are a local, you know this restaurant is the place to go for great italian food.
A beautiful, intimate, experience. We will definitely be back again!
First time customers and we were extremely satisfied. We will definitely return when in Santa Barbara💖
The grilled white asparagus was amazing! And I never had so many vongole in my spaghetti con vongole—excellent!
We had a good time at the restaurant, especially for the service of the staff. Food was good and the short wine list too. Appropriate location close to the main street in Santa Barbara.
Ca'Dario has always been one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always good as is the service.
The birthday dinner was very nice. It was great to be back with all tables full again!
