I am a vegan and while there was a veggie dish there wasn’t enough food a carbohydrate too accompany the dish would have been appropriate.
Overall, I enjoyed this restaurant. I came here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and we ordered the calamari to start and each ordered the burger. Calamari tasted great but found the portion size to be small for the price. $22 was a little steep. Burger lived up to the hype though. Very juicy, thick and cooked the way you want - I got mine medium rare :). Service was good. Waiters were friendly and quick (although a little too quick! Food came out almost immediately one right after the other and we were in and out of there in like 45 mins). We ordered the donuts for desserts and they put a candle and happy birthday message in icing as a nice personal touch. I would come back and definitely want to try their lobster poutine.

I had duck and it was very rear.....there should be a choice as with steak (i.e. medium rear, well done etc.).

Lovely space for groups or a romantic dinner. Service for our table was cordial but very slow. Other tables seemed far better. Food is incredible and the wine and spirits list is too notch.
Our server was attentive & helpful. The soup, entree and dessert were flavourful with surprising tastes. Presentation scored top marks as they were visually appetizing.

Lamb pasta was more mutton pasta - smell and texture was not nice. Appetizers were good, most of the deserts were just too sweet or uninspired. Good to try for winterlicious, but I don't think I'll be back on regular prices. (ONE and Diwan are much better)
Ambiance was nice, with a comfortable space, and nostalgic from it's feature on Suits. The food was not the same quality as the dining space or the pricing.

Wife’s birthday dinner. Babysitter fell through so we brought our 2 year old. They were very friendly, accommodating, quick, and made a great little pasta dish our wee man loved, despite his dietary restrictions. The staff let us have a great meal, even with the unexpected changes to our plans.
Bymark never fails to amaze me! This place has become my usual go to for Winterlicious and I will be visiting on a normal day because the menu is amazing!

My guest and I went to Bymark for Winterlicious as per my guest's previous visit and raving reviews. We reserved for a great time as there were very few people in the restaurant, that you had the opportunity to appreciate the surrounding restaurant environment before the dinner crowd took over the space. Our waiter and other restaurant staff were quick to follow up with us, clear our dishes and were never too pushy or over attentive. To start our three course meal, I chose the Burrata, Grilled Raddicchio which was delicious and light as an appetizer whereas my guest was feeling a little more carnivorous and had the Kimchi Steak Tartare which she enjoyed, thoroughly. We both got the 7oz Dry Aged Burger which was - Wow, so good! A really great tasting burger to say the least. For dessert, I went with the Wildflower honey and lemon cheesecake which was displayed beautifully and tasted exquisitely as the cheesecake was smooth and had the right amount of sweetness to tartness that it was pleasure to eat. My guest had the Sticky Toffee Doughnuts which were deceptively softer than they looked and again was a definite hit for taste and texture.
I was surprisingly disappointed on my last visit to Bymark. I had the Winterlicious lunch. I got an order of rbead - the baquette was cold, could not cut it, and the butter was only enough for one piece of bread. The carrot and ginger soup was cold and bland. The salmon also was cold and I did not enjoy the barley sauce.
Everything I’ve come to expect from McEwan. Always putting out a great meal.
Bymark is a "go to" staple for Winterlicious, however this year, the food tasted average versus its normal very high standard. The presentation of the food was great, however the salmon dish was a bit overcooked and the lemon cheecesake was average. The duck confit was delicious and flavourful, nice and moist.
Bymark was second on my list to try as part of winterlicious. I took the day off work and came to Toronto via the go train primarily for the dining experience. The lunch offerring was appealing. For the three course, I selected ahi tuna tartare, duck confit and lemon cheesecake. The tuna was the star and tbh would have been more satisfied with three of these. The duck was very crispy on the outside making it challenge to cut with the standard dining cutlery. Inside, the duck was not tender - no fat, moisture. The jus was good but without the fat, it wasn't enough. Lastly was the lemon cheesecake. After the duck, I was the meal would finish strong. So disappointed! It was not a cheesecake!!! Bymark, please rename this dessert to resemble what it is. Obviously other customers have the same sense and reaction as the server asked me my thoughts on the dessert and as I hesitated the sever articulated what I was thinking to a tee.

Went to Bymark on a Tuesday night for dinner. Ordered off the Winterlicious menu - ginger and carrot soup, dry aged burger and sticky toffee doughnuts for dessert. Everything was as tasty as it sounds and the service was attentive without feeling like they were hovering. I would go there again.
Went for winterlicious lunch, not packed at all, however it was the last booking at that time. So this means they meant to keep it empty and quiet, which was nice. Food and service was great as well.
With the tables close together and the general din, It was pretty noisy at noon when we dined. I wish there was the ability to add salt to the carrot ginger soup, and my guest didn't like med rare salmon but didn't have an opportunity to express her preference. The staff were otherwise prompt and attentive. The best part was the deconstructed cheesecake dessert.
The dishes are the best and I'm amazed that we have such good restaurant in T.O. No wonder the table is always not easy to book, but a must try restaurant.

Service: We were seated and given water but after 10 minutes we had to ask to order (this gentleman was nice). Our appetizers and mains came out and delivered by someone (a man). This individual didn't say a word to us. No one came to see how our food was. Our plates were cleared also without a word. We were waiting another 15 minutes for dessert to come, but we finally had to ask for our dessert and our bill at the same time from someone else - also not our server. At point, I asked who our server was because we couldn't tell. Our desserts came, but still not a word was said and a few minutes later our bill arrived - still not a word was said. We paid our bill and left and still not a word!
The food was delicious but what a weird, weird, weird service experience - and totally unexpected based on previous dining at Bymark.
Food and service were very good, I will dine there again. My only complaint is the short list of half bottle red wines.

Winterlicious menu was pretty terrible, I had higher expectations as I heard great things from friends about their normal menu. The kimchi tartare was way too spicy, the ciabatta baugette was not worth the extra $2 and the ahi tuna main entree was one the worst dishes I've had in the past few years. It was way overcooked and lacked flavor.
I would not come back for dinner if this menu is representative of their normal dining menu.

Great Winterlicious lunch menu options. All 3 courses (carrot & ginger soup, lamb pasta, chocolate torte) were excellent! Looking forward to trying another set of Winterlicious options!
Great food and a great drink selection. Not overly busy in the evening, great for conversation.
