   3 star place with 4 star pretentiousness… took nearly 60 minutes to get the food. Very average food, service and ambience

   Decent meal but steak was disappointing, not much flavour at all. Peppercorn sauce was weak and too watery. Oysters very good, as was the service

   Lovely restaurant for a date night, great views of Tower Bridge and attentive service. Expensive, but quality food. Great for a special occasion. Noted in our booking that we were there for a birthday and were given a lovely desert with Happy Birthday on it.

   Arrived at the Chop House to find that a private function was in progress, taking up a third of the restaurant. During our meal the sound levels gradually increased until it became difficult to hold a conversation. The above notwithstanding, my main of Liver and Bacon was excellent. My companion's steak was also good. Too noisy to stay for dessert.

   A real mixed bag here Food amazing Staff on the whole good but needs some improvement as we got mixed messages Music was way too loud and rocky and spoilt the ambience

   This was not our first time at the restaurant and there appears to be a marked downturn in the availability of food. This was a Saturday night and to be told that they had no chips and other staples was a bit of a surprise. The lack of choice for vegetarians is surprising also in this day and age. A look at the website indicates this so it comes as no surprise but may be worth considering increasing this option. In this day and age we need, and appreciate, value for money but £10 for a few spoonful's of rice pudding does, to me, seem excessive. Shame, really, as we have good experiences there in the past but last Saturday's experience has turned us all off of returning.

    Service very good, steak very average, price very high. I guess you're paying for the location, which doesn't mean much in winter. When you get given a large steak knife and still struggle to cut the steak, either it's a tough steak or a blunt knife, or perhaps both.
