Butera's Restaurant of Sayville is a full service, fine dining "Family-Style" Italian restaurant serving seafood, steaks, veal, chicken and pastas dishes. "Family-style" dining affords groups the opportunity to sample many dishes at one time. We also serve individual portions upon request. We have a full bar and extensive wine list as well as an assortment of homemade desserts. There is sidewalk seating in beautiful downtown Sayville when the weather permits. Our lounge dining room provides private dining for groups of 25 - 40. We also cater larger parties in our other two dining rooms. Off-premise catering is a specialty of Butera's. Please join us for lunch. We have Italian dishes, focaccia sandwiches, burgers and wraps with an Italian slant. as well as wonderful composed salads. Lunch is done individually.

Everything was terrific, the people that worked there were very nice and friendly and the food tasted excellent and the restaurant had a great atmosphere, the only problem that me and my girlfriend had was that we had waited for quite a while for our main course to be served. This was our first time at the restaurant, we would give the restaurant another chance to see if we don’t have to wait as long as we did the first time for our main course to be served to us. But again everything was excellent.

The food is delicious and the portions are plentiful. Whether you are looking for a romantic night out or dinner with the whole family, you won’t be disappointed. The Shrimp Limoncello is amazing!

Our waitress was great. Made great suggestions and took special care of requests. Food was fabulous even on a busy holiday. Highly recommend!

Ordered the bolognese with chicken meatballs and sausage. It was terribly dry and lacking sauce. Sent it back and it was taken off the bill

A Hidden Gem for Family Dining. We had a fantastic experience at this family-style restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming—perfect for a relaxed meal with loved ones. The entrees were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and clearly made with care. Portions were generous, making it ideal for sharing around the table. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and everything came out fresh and hot. This place really knows how to do comfort food right. Definitely a spot we’ll be returning to!
