    Butcher & Singer is not a place I go to often but it never fails to impress and prompt me to ask why I had not been there more recently. Our server last night, Dirk, was the perfect combination of attentive and inobtrusive. And he clearly cares about his restaurant and his work. We were a bit more seafood focused, but a friend who went filet mignon raved about it. We also had a teenager with us, and he was quite happy as well. In summation, a Philadelphia institution that seems to evolve and maintain the highest standards. I will be back, and sooner than in the past.

    Dinner was excellent as always. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and I added the Oscar. My wife had twin lobster tails, which were large and tender. Corn, Mac and cheese, and mushroom sides were all delicious The Butcher and Singer Manhattan is one of my favorites. Our server was friendly and attentive.

    Absolutely great food and knowledgeable staff… Somalie really helped find a perfect wine to accompany our meal!!! Also — great cocktails!!!

    The place was very nice and staff was friendly. Ordered a steak because it’s a steak house… me and my husband both ordered a filet medium. His came rare and mine came out well done :( sent mine back and the manager brought me out a new steak. This time is was rare and cold! I was really surprised and we just asked for the check. the manager even saw how rare the steak was and took it off my check. I really wanted to like this place but was extremely disappointed. We also got the mashed potatoes and spinach they were decent nothing by special. The bread and butter was the highlight of the whole meal.

    Nice waiter however we did wait quite awhile for our dinner to arrive. But restaurant is tops. The server Jerrod had an assistant who was absolutely the best. He went above and beyond. Great experience.
