Butcher & Bee - Nashville
The food was excellent and eclectic. We enjoyed our brunch and impressed our 4 California guests with another great Nashville restaurant. Will be back for sure.
We really enjoyed the food!!
We had such a great experience and decided to stay at the bar and have dinner. We were near the water tap so we had the opportunity to engage with all the servers and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of the food and service was outstanding! Amazing drinks and the bartenders are super creative if you want to go off menu. We are tequila fans and tried four different cocktails that were made with fresh ingredients and not typical of any bar. We tried several items on the menu and all were delicious. We opted for more vegetarian and were not disappointed. Worth the Uber trip!
We were seated at the worst possible table in the corner of the patio. So much for ambiance; the patio is an outside space in the back of the restaurant that is nothing special at all.. one of the items we ordered was the chicken which the waitress recommended. While we were eating our appetizers, the waitress told us there was no more chicken! Hard to believe when you have a 7PM reservation! But, low and behold, while we were eating our main course, the waitress came to tell us that they now had chicken! Too late, we cancelled the order.
Food flavors were quite interesting. Southern style which is different for a northerner. Good food choices.
Very welcoming experience and the food was delicious.
You are so fortunate to have Olivia! She is beautiful and engaging and I apologize because we truely monopolized her time! I cannot wait til my next visit.
Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Loved the whipped feta and breakfast burrito. It’s shame they say their barista quit because the menu mentions espresso/coffee options and I was disappointed that there were no flavors avail. The menu was very limited with items that were not familiar. It was great to try something new but nothing we had made us want to run back again.
My friends and I went for dinner before prom. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. An excellent experience!
Great all around experience, will be back.
Overall I had a good experience. I loved the warm feta honey spread and the crispy avocado rice. But the carrots had soo much burnt sugar on them that I couldn't chew them and my friend compared them to the texture of a dried chili pepper. My only other issue was that the table was stuck in a back corner, and I sat staring at the back brick wall. It felt isolated from the rest of the restaurant
I have been there for dinner but never lunch. I felt the sandwich I ordered should have come with at least a few chips or fries or even a small salad, but it didn't. So that is the reason I gave them a 3 for value. I would go back for dinner but not lunch.
I've been coming to Butcher and Bee for several years but my last few visits over the last 6 months have steadily declined and I will not be coming back.
We arrived a few minutes early and checked in with the host, they told us to wait while they checked on our table and then never returned. The restaurant was not busy and we were the only two people that were sitting in the waiting area. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked how much longer and the same host told me that I had been marked a no show. In those 30 minutes we were never checked on, no eye contact, just totally ignored.
We were told we would have a free appetizer as an apology and to just tell our server what we wanted but the server chose an app for us instead and it was something I would have never ordered myself. The food was bland and underspiced (just like my last few visits) and the bread for the whipped feta was charred.
Last time I was there with my husband we were served raw chicken, and the last 3 times I've gone much of our meal was either burnt or tasted undersalted and spiced. I'm so sad as this was our favorite restaurant. We will not be back.
My birthday week and my Mom wanted to treat me!
Very cool space, with great food and excellent service
Delicious and vegetarian options were appreciated!
Amazing food and amazing atmosphere!
We had a reservation but still had to wait a bit before our table was ready. Our waitress kept forgetting requests. The food didn’t come all together... just a couple of plates at a time.
the vibe was great, food was good. unfortunately they sat us in a corner that was quite isolated under a staircase that felt like no man's land. also food came out quite inconsistently- meals were brought out at least 5-10 minutes apart.
Service was very slow and it took almost 1/2 an hr to get our coffees/beverages. I had to ask 2 different people for honey for my tea, and was told they may not have any on hand (how do you not have honey at a place called Butcher and Bee?) Food was good, but very overpriced. Felt like you were paying a premium for an instagram-able plate.
We ordered the whipped feta and pita to start. It was extremely tasty! For mains we ordered Brussel sprouts, potatoes, hamburger, & meatball sandwich (as in each main had a side ordered at the same time). My biggest heartache was that everything but the meatball sandwich was delivered at the same time. The meatball sandwich wasn’t delivered until 15 min later and the reasoning was it takes longer to cook. If it takes longer to cook, fire it first and then the other things.
The whipped feta is a must have! Service was wonderful ambience was awesome! We sat at the chefs counter and it was fun to watch them make everything. Highly recommend
The mezze platters were delicious and the overall menu was very accommodating for dietary restrictions! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
Nice ambience, friendly staff, just took long for everything. Apps made it before drinks, entrees took over an hour for 2 salads. No apology or explanation. Quickest part of the night was when our waitress ran our card. Maybe an off night, and its a shame because the food was great, but they have to be better.
Awesome food and cocktails. Good service and affordable
Not bad, prob better than average but not by much.
Best meal I have had in Nashville!
They try to be a hip place but it’s just a renovated factory building. Foods appear to be healthy but not at all. Very sweet and salty. Extremely cold by the windows. Very difficult to park. Sparkling water was a plus.
The service was attentive without seeming pushy or intrusive. We started with the carrots and the dates. They were fantastic with complex, but enjoyable, flavors and a variety of textures. The sauces were so good we asked for bread to soak them up. The octopus stew was rich and hearty. The octopus was almost buttery it was so tender and the little crispy bits of sweet potato were a wonderful addition to the salty stew. The ceviche was served last and the tangy curry cleaned the palate. Overall the presentation was top notch along with the food and service. The price seemed reasonable but the quality of the experience makes the price a deal.
Fun experience with East Nashville Restaurant week meals!
Butcher & Bee was an amazing dining experience! Everything from the decor, food and wait staff was superb. The flavor combinations were spot on, with a great mix of vegetarian offerings. It was a superb experience!
After several disappointing meals at very highly rated Nashville hot spots I simply googled “where to eat Nashville”. Butcher and Bee delivered a solid food performance; just pretentious enough to appeal to the hipster crowd but still honest to execution. Service was polite, informed, and comfortable. Recommend completely!
Worth the drive from Huntsville Alabama. Sooo good. Will be back.
Great food and service. The feta spread is amazing.
Restaurant was closed but reservation wasn’t cancelled or updated. Got to the restaurant to find everything closed and appeared to have been closed all night. We understood they had no power and couldn’t be open but it would have been nice to have a heads up before we got there.
Just perfect for lunch and not expensive!
This was the first time to Butcher & Bee. Food was very good, creative, and deliciously unusual. It seems as if their menu changes quickly so do not necessarily rely on
their website menu as what will be available the day you go.
The place is great so is the food, but it's not sexy, no real atmosphere,
We were eating at the open kitchen bar, no interaction with the people working on the other side, too up tide
We sat at the "chefs counter" and it was awesome seeing the food being prepared. Our cocktails were perfect. The meal was a top 5 meal I've ever had in my life!! Get the steak, it's amazing. 10/10 would recommend to anybody. We are big foodies and we walked out very very impressed!
The food was delicious and our service was very good.
We really enjoyed the options available. The tuna cerviche was amazing.
