Always a great meal no matter your menu choice. The weather cooperated so we sat outside and enjoyed the scenes
The food was sooooo good! I recommend the grapefruit Mimosas. The ambience was nice the service was excellent. Very pleased.
The Marylin’s Old Fashion was excellent as well as the Froze. The Marylin’s Fried Chicken was dry and lacked flavor however, the accompanying biscuits, pickles and butter were really good. The cheese curds were good as well as the meatloaf (came out a little cold though). The wait staff was nice as well.
Perfection as always!
Service and food was good but happy hour only being at the bar (esp on a rainy day when outdoor dining wasn’t super smart) felt weird. The light above us at the bar was broken and unlit which made it kinda hard to see. Overall really good and the waiters were super nice.
Ella,I believe was her name was our server she seemed to have sort of a nonchalant attitude and was not too knowledgeable with what was being ordered. She just kept telling us to refer to the menu. I ordered short rib stroganoff. It was delicious and tender, just a little salty. My husband enjoyed his dinner as well.He had the grilled hanger steak and the cheese curds where fabulous. Something different ,sauces amazing. It was our first visit but will not be our last. The happy hour was not mentioned. We did not know about it until it was time to leave.I think happy hour should be mentioned when coming in the establishment if the time is appropriate. Overall nice experience and enjoyable!!! Definitely will be coming back.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city! Great food and drinks each time I go!
Service was excellent and food was scrumptious!!!!
This is a consistent favorite for their great food (order any chicken dish) and great service. It is slowly becoming an essential stop in Philadelphia.
The service was excellent. The inside of the restaurant and decor was mid-century modern and wonderfully curated. It was just my taste! The food was absolutely delicious, I already want to come back and try more. Our waitress was super sweet, and brought everything out for us so quickly. The cocktails are spectacular!! I had one with violet in it and it’s one of the best drinks I’ve had in a while! Their Nashville hot is giving some other Nashville hot style chicken I’ve had some competition!!! I highly highly recommend this place! Also in a great location in Philly! A lot to do in that area!
Great food and ambiance!
Great and friendly service with wonderful food.
Service was awful. She never came to our table. We sat there for 30 minutes waiting to ask for our check. It took her an additional 15 to finally bring us the final check so we could leave the restaurant. The buns were also VERY oily. I don’t recommend going here.
great fried chicken and banana pudding. wonderful service
Absolutely horrendous.....start to finish.

Very underwhelmed for such a promising looking and well acclaimed place. The ambiance was a little worn though a classic interesting old diner design. Needs some sprucing up but overall one of the better things about this mid city casual restaurant. The menu looks enticing with a variety of home style choices without being pretentious or mundane and certainly not too many choices. Unfortunately the food was generally disappointing and not what would be expected.
Our wedge salad was the best thing we ordered as the crispy onion rings on top of an interesting and well designed assortment of salad ingredients were tasty and worked well together along with the large chunks of bacon one hopes for in a wedge salad.
The pierogis were fair. The filing was decent but on the skimpy side. The dough was tough and not fresh. The garnishing helped but would not recommend this choice.
My son ordered the Marylin fried chicken which was a generous portion of plump white and dark pieces. He enjoyed the dark meat but was under seasoned and the breast was dry. Came with 2 square biscuits that were huge but hard as a rock and totally inedible.
My wife ordered the double patty melt which was actually a double cheeseburger as it was served on hamburger bun with all of the standard condiments including lettuce and tomato. Hard for me to accept defining that as a patty melt. She did say it was flavorful with generous quality beef patty’s.
Finally I order the short rib stroganoff which was comprised of a very nice tender pulled short rib. The sauce was tasty with a rich red wine flavor but overly salty. The pasta was not traditional wide egg noodles but a combination of pasta including what they might consider gnocchi? They were little pillows of semolina based pasta not potato as gnocchi should be. This was ok but kind of a departure again from norms and not expected.
Overall the service was fine. Very adequate for a casual type venue such as a this. Food came out quickly
Very nice place. Great food, service and cooked fast. Will be back again.
Nice location and decor
Family loved the cheese curds and Nashville hot buns. The fried chicken has changed since the last time I was there (around 18 months ago I guess) and I wasn’t impressed. I had been really looking forward to it because I remembered it as the best fried chicken ever. It was just “meh” and not served in the bucket with the fries.
The waitstaff seems sleepy. Restaurant didn’t look as clean as is the past. Long periods of time between ordering or getting courses. Food was good, but not as good as in the past, with the exception being a tomato and grilled peach salad.
Neighborhood gem and excellent choice for dinner! Service was exceptional!
Great brunch place! There were 4 of us and we just picked a few things off of the menu and split amongst us all and it worked out perfectly. I got the lakeside cocktail because it was recommended - it was wayyyy too strong. The person who recommended it said it wasn't like that before so must've been a heavy pourer behind the bar. But overall we enjoyed it!
Great service and high quality American food
Enjoyed a night in the city, dinner and drinks here before a show. The food was great, drinks even better, but the server was a little slow and not extremely friendly. I do recommend it though, was a great experience.
Food is always on point, service was great, and it wasn’t super crowded. Bud and Marilyn’s has always been great. Highly recommend
Great vibe with elevated comfort food. Not for the weak of stomach! But mmmmm it is good!
Loved the food 🥘 the staff was superb. It was a little warm in the establishment but it was crowded. The drinks are well made but somewhat soft on the alcohol, i had the pork buns and salmon entree both were wonderful! The regal begel cocktail was a favorite although i had the gin replaced with vodka and loved it. Our server was lovely and attentive , the food again was quite enjoyable with a kitchy ambience!
Great outdoor experience. Pleasant environment and service
Great food great service !
Delicious food and beautifully decorated!
Started with the pierogis. We loved them so much next time we are getting two orders! Perfectly done.
Dinner was the beef stroganoff for me and the burger for him. Both were exceptional. Cannot wait to eat here again.
Went to this restaurant with my two teen sons. It was so loud, the waitress could not hear us order, ask for more water or the check. Once we got our meal, we did not see her again until we flagged her down, though the restaurant was not full. The fried chicken was dry and the biscuits were terrible. The chicken sandwich was good.
Limited menu but very good food. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Conveniently located in the heart of Center City. Great place for a first date or anniversary!
10am brunch reservation on Sunday, outside was lovely. It was chill at 10 and quiet. dog friendly. indoor vibe was cool. food was very good, big portions. will definitely be back again
My chicken and waffles was cold and tasted old.
Everything was excellent. Cocktails were amazing, food was delicious and filling.
Drew, our waiter couldn’t have been more attentive, friendly and helpful.
Can’t wait to go back.
It was great
Great restaurant. Casual ambiance. Service is great. Very Covid Safe.
I had the Mary’s roasted chicken and it was Delicious!!!
