Always wonderful!
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. I went for a relatively Sunday brunch and although the restaurant was not overly crowded, service was a bit slow. The food was average at best but my group and I were more focused on enjoying our time together. This was soon ruined when we asked to switch out one drink on the menu for another. The waitress (Cassidy C.) became irate, stated that she would have to ask the manager because removing an item from the bill in exchange for another was "above her," and stormed away. Cassidy then slammed the check book on our table when she returned with an updated receipt. When she came back with our credit card, she legitimately threw the check book across our table while her manager stood by with a horrified expression on her face and apologized profusely. This was easily the most horrific dining experience I have ever had.
Been here twice for brunch with wife. We both enjoy the vibe, food, service, and the warm cinnamon roll.
The food was delicious! Loved the short rib stroganoff.
Celebrated my birthday in style with my favorite restaurant in Philly! Superb service and food as always!
Joshua was our server; he was super friendly and attentive. He also helped us decide on drinks and entrees, which displayed an impressive, accurate knowledge of the menu. We enjoyed the entire experience and can’t wait to go back!
amazing restaurant, came here on a saturday morning so was quite crowded, service was slow but food was worth it.
Went for happy hour. Good food and service. Love the specials, I had the spring mule and it was sooo good! The cheese curds were also amazing. They have a ton of covered outside seating but it filled up fast on a Friday. So I’m glad we used open table!
Attentive and friendly staff. Food came out hot and quick. Love the cute outdoor booths! Felt safe and it was fun!
I’m not sure what the current rules are for Philly, but they made us order food which is fine. But they should also say that either when you place the reservation or when they seat you
a cute restaurant to grab brunch with your boo or your friends.
Amazing! Food and drinks were incredible. Waitress was nice and all covid safe. Would definitely recommend their pouch drinks!
First time eating in a pod! Everything was timed perfectly well, the food was spectacular and the whole night out was great.
We switched from brunch to dinner because my husband was looking forward to the fried chicken. The formula/recipe seems to have changed but not for the better. The chicken was dry and didn’t have much flavor. Two out of the 3 of us ordered the chicken so it was disappointing. We also ordered the funfetti cake for dessert and it too seemed dry. On a good note the crab fries and cheese curds were delicious.
Great service and ambiance. My burger was great but my bfs chicken sandwich was quite underwhelming. Nothing to really complain but we wouldn't order it again.
Great happy hour. Friendly staff. Delicious drinks.
Drove in 2 hours to have brunch, got seated around 2:30. Server looked like he was busy and got us drinks but was slow to come back and take our food order. He finally returned at 3:15 and then informed us we could no longer order brunch as the menu had changed. There was no warning or notice and we had been ready to order. He then transferred us to another server and It was just a crappy experience since I had such high expectations and drove in with this stop being the first on our trip.
This was a wonderful brunch spot!
The cheese curds and drink punches are to die for!
The food and service is always fantastic. One of my favorites in Philly.
As usual the food, service and drinks were amazing!!!
Perfect experience per usual. Truly one of my favorite places here in Philly.
Good food, drinks, + experience
Some of the best fried chicken that I’ve had. Fried chicken sandwich was amazing pickles are great. Really like how the fried chicken is breaded and lightly fried. Will be back again
Been here a few times for HH pre-pandemic. Had a nice time, everyone made us feel safe. This was one of our first experiences not doing takeout in almost a year. My only criticism from the experience, I don't know if they were just understaffed or our waiter forgot about us but we sat at our table for about 10-15 min after being seated before anyone came over. Once we put in our order everything came out super fast. The food and drinks were awesome, and the service after that was great.
Great food and drinks. Covid protocols being followed . Can’t beat fried chicken!
My first time visiting this place. I had a 1:30pm appoint this past Sunday (Easter Sunday) that I mistakenly entered as 2:00pm.
Upon my arrival at 2:00pm, though I was 30mins late, I was still accommodated.
The food was fabulous! I will definitely return.
Awesome place!
The one thing I was change is the fact that the chicken and waffles was served with a half of a waffle and not a whole waffle.
But overall, great place!
Anniversary
We sat outside which was nice, but the service was very slow, however we did go on a Saturday night, I suggest hitting this place on a Sunday-Thursday when your looking for more of a higher end; bar bite scene. I do not suggest ordering any cocktails/pouches as they were not good.
We order the following:
Cheese Curds- 8/10 could use a better sauce
Pierogis- 7/10
Hot fried chicken meal- 8.5/10
Beef Stroganoff- 8/10
NY old fashion- 6/10
Margarita pouch- 2/10
Red Sangria pouch- 5/10
This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Yummy food! Super cute restaurant, love the decor and the whole vibe. Service was quick and the stuff was really sweet and personable! Really enjoyed our meal.
I've been here several times and it never fails!!! The food is amazing! My absolute favorite is the Nashville hot chicken entree.. At this moment Bud & Marilyn's can do no wrong!!
Cool vibe and delicious food!
Sat us right when we got there, quick with drinks and meals
The happy hour was kind of a waste of money compared to their summer happy hour menu which was still during COVID. It was 48 degrees outside and they didn’t have their heaters on and prepared for happy hour (which is only outside) and their excuse was “because it was nicer.” Anyway, the drink and food menu for happy hour was ok but again, their summer happy hour menu was more extensive. We left after 2 drinks and a appetizer. Probably won’t make this a go-to again. Friendly service though, be sure to leave a great tip regardless of the menu!
Had dinner on March 30th. I forget our server's name but he was amazing! This was the second time he was our server but he goes above and beyond every time! The doublestack burger was amazing!
This was our second visit to Bud and Marilyn's as we live out of town and enjoyed the first visit so much. We enjoyed everything we ate: a wild mushroom toast was a delightful taste treat, a strawberry and arugala salad with pecorino and avocado was sprightly dressed. We also enjoyed the falafel cauliflower and the hearty stuffed meatloaf. Food here is always tasty and fun and the atmosphere is lively and whimsical. The hostess , waitresses and staff in general were welcoming and solicitous, and we felt secure with the covid procedures in place. One quibble was the use of the flimsy plastic "silverware" which made it difficult to eat something like meatloaf and carrot slabs. All in all, was a great time! Definitely recommend.
Fantastic dinner!
Please bring back the Po Boy grill shrimp, the current small/fried shrimp is too salty, prefer the before pandemic grilled shrimp.
The sticky bond is wonderful,
I’m sure Bud & Marilyns would have been 5 Stars across the board had it not been for the pandemic and safety protocols. I can’t wait to return once the all clear is confirmed and we can wine & dine in a larger party atmosphere.
