Took a little long for food to come out and when it did finally come it was warm, could have been hotter. Restaurant was not overly crowded.
Food was great!! Service was great! Prices were great! We will be back!!
The biscuits and waffles are absolutely delicious! What I didn’t like was that the coffee was mediocre at best and our server lacked enthusiasm.
Menu & reviews had me thinking it would be fantastic. Lettuce wedge was the bomb but the brisket was WAY too fatty. Slaw was dry and beans lacked flavor. The old fashioned I ordered had muddled blueberries in the bottom. Maybe I missed that in description but it was really strange addition. Service was good, though. And you could tell they tried. Would have given higher stars were it not for the 69% fat brisket.
My wife and I live in NOLA, so we get to visit all the restaurants. Food was great. I had the burger and two beers special. Burger was excellent and the local brew was ice cold. My wife had the brisket and it too was excellent (we shared both meals). The fries with garlic butter were really good. Seemed to be a family friendly place with great, fresh food. On a side note the parking was easily accessible.
A favorite of ours!
Great food, clean place.
4 stars for food because they ran out of what I wanted. Many things are a tad spicy. Seoul burger is literally the tastiest burger ever.
Absolutely delicious! Worth the drive out from the French Quarter - excellent food - we loved all the burgers, the wedge salad and the crispy pickles!
Our server was very attentive. The Bloody Mary was delicious.
Just ok. Nothing to rave about
I completely love this place
Had the fried Chicken and biscuits and loved it! Definitely coming back to try the apple fritters!
Delicious food and great service! I really like this restaurant.
The service wasn’t bad, it just took a while for our food to come out. We had 7:15 reservations and we were seated early, we just got our entrees after 8pm. But our waiter was wonderful and the food was delicious. It was a busy Saturday night, but it could have been quicker to get our meal. A couple that was seated after us received their dinner before we did.
We just had to wait a long time for the
We’ve always had consistent meals here. Delicious and consistent. Service is always spot on. They always accommodate my daughter who has gluten and dairy allergies.
Who Dat Sunday!!!
Pretty good brunch spot where you can casually watch the game
The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and the specials. Highly recommend this place.
Good cocktails and great beef short ribs! The special smoked beef rib was extra tender and great taste. The side of fries with garlic aoli drizzle was a great compliment to the meaty rib, especially since they were fried crispy. A great find for us, with attentive and suggestive wait staff making the evening meal one that we will come back for again!
Brown Butter is one of my favorite places for brunch. They were apparently not on their game this particular day, which was disappointing. I always have the Green Tomato Crab Benny--my fav. When it arrived, I smelled the crab before it was served and it appeared to be like canned flaked crab, not lump, and was very gray appearing. I ate it but did not enjoy it. However, my daughter had the Burnt Ends Screen Door, which was delicious. I did not complain about my entrée as I had already sent my Bloody Mary back and was too embarrassed for the restaurant and the poor server to complain further. The Bloody Mary, again my fav in the past, had so much horseradish in the bottom it choked me. Even the server agreed it was a mistake and took it back. Had to ask for the smoked meat they always put in it. So, disappointing. My daughter's Manhattan was not right either but we switched her to a Sazerac and again did not complain about it. To kind of make up for the mess, they brought me a complimentary Mimosa that was very flat, warm, and weak, and undrinkable. Not sure I will try them again, but will definitely not try the Green Tomato Crab Benny. So sadly disappointing. Hopefully, it was just an off day.
Suburban feel, nothing bad but overall just good, or average.
Great burger, so so service and not inexpensive
First place I ate in New Orleans and I was not disappointed! The food was amazing, and the service was just as good. We decided to get a pitcher of mimosas which was a great value and taste!
Best meal in town! The service is great, all of the staff is so friendly. The food is so delicious.
Always amazingly excellent!
Visited from Baltimore and really enjoyed the food and the decor.
Was very pleased with the atmosphere and food. Service e was excellent and priced right...great experience.
Hair found in two dishes
I was visiting from Chicago, so popped in alone. I'm actually really surprised this place was close to empty at 7:45pm on a Saturday. When I say this food was incredible and so were the cocktails. Also, more importantly, the service was EXCELLENT. I can't remember my server's name, but he was phenomenal. He clearly cares about what he does.
The food was bomb! Had a Seoul Bowl and a Rusty Screen Door...I recommend you have them both. We were blessed to be able to taste the Apple Stack Jack. It may sound off the wall, bc it is, but it totally works. And come on, who can go wrong with a delicious proper cup of French Roast coffee and a $3 mimosa?! Treat yourself
We were recommended to visit Brown Butter by our tour guide, Gary Kuhn, who told us that it was the best burger around. The burgers were good, but the pickle chips were AMAZING! We were only in town for 3 full days and we were staying in the French Quarter, so it was a Lyft ride to get there, but well worth it.
In a city of amazing dining experiences, Brown Butter didn't disappoint.
Was my first visit and I’ll definitely be back! The baby back ribs and accompanying salad were delicious! The cocktails were great too!
I read a ton of reviews before selecting this restaurant and I was really excited. We got to the restaurant right before our reservation and were led quickly to our table, which was about all that went well. The food was cold. The 'home fries' were basically partially fried kettle chips so they were soggy greasy and all around unpleasant. The waiter was fairly absent and most of the staff were on the their phones whenever we tried to get their attention. We finished some of our cold food and asked for the check. I paid with a card and the waiter brought over a tablet for me to pay on, which I really liked, but then he stood over the table while I was finishing the transaction. Having him standing there made it difficult for me to indicate that I wanted to leave a smaller tip as the service and food were mediocre at best. Instead, the lowest tip that they recommend it 20% and I selected it just so we could leave without an issue.
Not going back and not recommending this place to anyone.
Very good food and friendly service. We enjoyed our dining experience and will be back for more!
Thank you. The food was great. Very busy and the server maintained well.
I had dinned there before and had high expectations based on the last visit. The service was friendly and attentive. The food however was not as good as the first time. The ribs were not charred and moist as they should be. The peach salad was boring. The meat board was expensive and was missing the sweet element (fig, apples, jelly, etc.) and had no pate. The mac and cheese was delicious and the dessert was good but not enough so to save the dinner.
My mom is severely lactose intolerant. Our waitress went above and beyond and marked the menu to indicate the menu items that she would be able to eat. She also double checked with the kitchen to ensure they could make modifications for her. We have never, ever had a restaurant do that for us, even high-end restaurants. Our service was exemplary, and the food was absolutely delicious! The lox app was amazing, and everyone else (including myself) thoroughly enjoyed the food. We will be back!
This was my first time at Brown Butter Southern Kitchen. I only know about it because I found it on Open Table. Wow. So glad I did. Everything was delicious. The Brown Butter dressing on the salad was amazing. Their signature burger was equally awesome. This is the best lunch I've had in a month. Service was friendly and efficient.
