Brown Butter Southern Kitchen & Bar
Excellent brunch! Very busy--it was Sunday brunch, so we expected it. Our server Lauren was on top of things. Our glasses were never empty!
love to food and staff. hate how noise it is when busy. It unfortunately bothered my 2 year old to much. so we had to get our food to go. Maybe there is a was to hang some cloth up like curtains or something to help deaden the sound.
Still the best burger!
YALLLL! We had never come to brunch here but I took a chance because we love the burgers so much... THAT WAS THE BEST IDEA I EVER HAD! I mean this is competing with ruby, to me, and with 15 dollar mimosa pitchers you can’t beat it!
It's an okay place. The food is ordinary, and they were out of few things I wanted. A decent, overly priced lunch spot.
Start with the board. So many tasty offerings.
And the Brussels bowl?? 😍 definitely recommend asking for a side of garlic aioli to make this over the top. Tried the Carolina wings this time and I’m looking forward to trying the garlic parm wings next time!
Brunch was absolutely amazing. Make sure to make a reservation they tend to get pretty busy. Our server was amazing as well will definitely go back soon!!
To die for!!!! Great service better food!!!!
Overall the meal was very good. They had a special where you get a burger and two draft beers for just $3 more than the burger by itself. The place is pretty casual, so keep that in mind.
Had a great meal ! The food was good , service was good
Second time we’ve been here recently and everything was really good! Nice casual dinner spot
Great Place! I have visited three times and the staff never disappoints. The Crab Mac N' Cheese is to die for! The burgers, the best in town!!
Loved the food, it was really tasty and had some incredible new mixes. The hashbrowns with boudin were a great starter and the seoul hamburger was probably the best burger I have had in New Orleans. And that says a lot.
My wife had poached eggs that were extremely well cooked and she loved every last little bit of it. Great joint.
Pretty cool brunch place. We had the chocolate croissant, crab Benedict, and honey chicken biscuit. Everything was good, including their $3 mimosa. Plus their is ample parking.
Great service and great experience
Brunch was yummy. What I wanted was not on the menu, but they happily made it for me & it was delicious!
The dining service and fare was excellent. The noise level was perfect. The only note is that the hallway to the facilities was dingy and needed some cleansing attention. This area detracted from the overall experience.
The garlic aoli was the star of the night. It was on the fries that came on the mussel app. I would order a side of that with everything.
Friendly server- my son and I showed up before they'd opened and he seated and served us. I had the grilled shrimp and Limas- excellent. My son's breakfast burger was also enjoyed. Nice spot!
Little noisy but food and service were worth it
$15 mimosa pitchers!
Great brunch food. Grits bowl with egg and sausage hit the spot after a late night out.
Very good food and drinks. Service was great. The restaurant was a little difficult to find, but once you do then you are in for a treat.
Great food in a great atmosphere! Try the Boudin Hash!!!
I've eaten at Brown Butter several times, have had many different dishes and have loved every single bite taken.
Superb! Every aspect of our dining!!
Probably the best burger I've ever had. The garlic parmesan wings were incredible.
Great Food! They allow some flexibility, and is a pretty good value.
Nice southern cuisine restaurant outside the traditional cajun/creole of New Orleans. We started with the thin cut fried pickles, which were very good, but became soggy after a bit, but we expected that. For our entrees, we had the brisket and pan fried mac & cheese along with one of the house made burgers. Both were excellent, the service was quick and our waiter was very friendly. Good choice, good food and great service.
This was our first time here!! We went for New Years Eve, my husband and I and overall enjoyed our experience. The bartender was deep in the weeds. She never greeted most of the folks coming up to the bar. We finally asked a waiter to make a drink and give us a water. We had some fries at the bar (put in by hostess lol) that were delicious. We ordered 2 salads, mussels, a burger and the Seoul bowl. The salads are enormous; enough for 2-3 people each! We wish the waiter had told us about the large sizes. Both were fresh and delicious especially the goat cheese. My husband enjoyed his burger greatly; cooked perfectly. The Seoul bowl was good but not for someone who can’t take the spice. The mussels were the best part of the meal. I could have polished off another bowl and skipped everything else. Overall we enjoyed the meal. One thing to note...the AC was blasting! I was so cold I couldn’t wait to get out of there!!
Made reservations for New Years Eve for 8 people. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!
New Year’s Eve
Great ribs. Strong drinks 👌Service was average. They seemed short on staff. Would consider a return but so many other places to try in NOLA first
Reservation for 7:30, but when we arrived there was no chance of getting a seat. Waited about 20 min and ended up sitting at the bar. Bartender was underwater, but we got a food and drink order in. Food took a long time, never received water refills or asked if we needed another drink. Food was bland - lacking seasoning. Even a bit of salt in the butter beans or on the burger would have made the meal right, but overall very mediocre.
New Years Eve- they were busy!! Very accommodating because we had to wait—- folks would not get up and move on!! And we got the table right in front of door😮😕. BUT the food was so delicious 😋 we forgot about that! I messaged a couple days in advance to ask about a certain bourbon and they made sure to have it for hubby! Brisket❤️❤️❤️👍🏽👍🏽 🦐 and butterbeans ❤️👍🏽👍🏽
Food was delicious, and service and friendliness of the staff was superior. A very nice setting for a quiet meal.
We had outstanding service, as always. Bruch was solid. Never to disappoint. I would like to have a little more kick to my meat items but they do have Crystal on the table.
This is my favorite restaurant in Midcity, and one of my favorites in all of New Orleans - and I'm a serious diner-outer! I cannot get over the quality and creativity of the food and cocktails and the amazingly good prices. I've been here probably 20 times and it's never disappointed in the slightest. My only wish is that the decor reflected the caliber of the food. It feels like a tacky sportsbar, yet the food is as good and consistent as what you find at nicer neighborhood gems like Clancy's or Cavan or Patois where the decor makes for a more special-feeling meal. I think with some tweaking of its interior, Brown Butter could and would compete with the best of 'em. LOVE. THIS. PLACE.
A very special Birthday for a very special gal.
Took a little long for food to come out and when it did finally come it was warm, could have been hotter. Restaurant was not overly crowded.
Food was great!! Service was great! Prices were great! We will be back!!
