Carroll Gardens Restaurants

The restaurant is on a corner and has a few tables outside on the street. We had our meal in the dining room inside. It is smallish, but not overcrowded with tables. The service was very attentive, yet not intrusive. Dishes came out quickly, and were delectable. We stated with soups: gazpacho was wonderfully refreshing drizzled with fresh and high quality olive oil. French onion soup was appropriately hot and cheesy and onions cooked to perfection. The fresh Levant house salad was truly fresh and nicely dressed with yummy balsamic dressing. For main course I had a wonderful version of Niçoise salad with seared fresh tuna pieces that I enjoyed a lot, and my partner had grilled Portuguese octopus. The octopus was really nicely prepared: tender and well seasoned. We finished with chocolate soufflée which was tasty and the best surprise of chestnut fig “mousse” with vanilla ice cream. I wouldn’t call it a mousse, it had more of a paste texture, but it was a wonderful combination with ice cream and was very, very tasty. My partner asked for a glass of rosé, and we were both impressed with the choice. Overall a wonderful experience, highly recommended.

Great service, amazing food and very nice ambiance

I took advantage of the Goa menu during Restaurant week. I chose the fish option and it was absolutely delicious!!! Samir is so helpful in choosing the things he knows I like. I tried the new dragon fruit cocktail, and wow! So many wonderful tastes! I love coming here. The food is always excellent and never disappoints. I was so happy to be able to sit outside. It was a wonderful ambience. Definitely recommend!
