BRIO Tuscan Grille - Richmond - Stony Point
I have dined at Brio several times and have been very happy. I took my husband there because it was his birthday and I wanted it to be special. I was somewhat disappointed this time. I made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived on time. It did not seem that busy, but we still had to wait fifteen minutes. Our server was cordial and polite. When I asked about the special, she said it was not available. I then said I would like the lamb chops. She again said, they were not available. I thought it was rather early in the evening to be out of these items? It probably doesn't seem like a big deal, but I was disappointed. The dinners we selected were good but not outstanding. It was not the usual great experience I have had at Brio.
Birthday party for friends. Food was great. Waitress was wonderful as was the asst server. Chairs were awful and table too small for 6
Nice everyday Italian. Food always good and service excellent
Our first time visiting and we will be back. Great value at lunch with great service.
Food is only average....no burger....changed menu is not good.
The entire experience was excellent.
Wonderful service and great food as always!
Not the old Brio. The service was great, but most of their great menu items are gone. Limited selection of pasta dishes(5 or 6). My Pasta Brio sauce tasted like Campbell's tomato soup. Only thing good, was the bread. Won't be back.
First time for dinner; business. Nice ambiance and décor. We were greeted quickly and waters provided. The drink orders took a while to arrive and we ordered dinner entrees at that time. It was almost an hour before we ate. Having said that, the food was superb and a good value. The restaurant appeared full for a Saturday night, so perhaps the kitchen was at max capacity? We will try again, no doubt, as the menu offered many other tempting choices.
Great personable server; took awhile to get our food, but we were catching up, so it wasn’t a problem.
It was an awful experience. We booked to have a New year’s dinner and when we got there (right on time) the restaurant didn’t have service... Don’t know why they accepted bookings if they weren’t able to serve. We couldn’t find any open restaurants after that...
Made a reservation with friends for our New Year’s Eve celebration. We arrived 30 minutes early and the rude gal at the front desk said they canceled the reservation 😳
We asked them to sit us anyway and they said “you have to have your order into the kitchen before 11pm!” Several times I had to chase down our waitress to place our food and drink orders. Our waitress smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and it made several members of our party sick. I think it’s very non-professional to treat customers the way they treated us. The place was nearly empty and I still don’t understand why they arbitrarily canceled the reservation. Nobody from the restaurant had or has contacted me about the cancellation.
We have visited BRIO Tuscan Grille in Austin Texas and always had good service, enjoyed the food and ambiance. Our visit to BRIO Tuscan Grille, Richmond Stony Point, was on New Year's Eve. We had a dinner reservation for four, at 7:15 p.m. Upon arrival at 7:00, I checked in with the hostess. She told me that once my reservation time occurred, they would call us. At 7:25, the hostess called us and walked us to our table. Our server, Amber, was very sweet and courteous. However, she was not competent in attending to our needs, once wine was delivered. I had to asked another server to find Amber. True, it was New Year's Eve, yet a place this size should have been equipped with servers who were able to attend to their customers' needs. I ordered a Gluten Free meal, after finally getting Amber back to our table. About 20 minutes later, she appeared to verify that I had ordered the GF meal. Ten minutes later, the manager came to our table, and with a sad expression informed me that my GF meal was not available. So, I had to order something else on a second's notice. The GF Pomidoro was okay. Too many noodles and not enough of the good stuff. The manager told me she would "take care of it", not to worry. So when our check arrived, the charge for my meal was included. I spoke up with Amber and told her what the manager had said. Amber was gracious and quickly took care of removing my meal from our ticket.
As I began this review, I will close it with the same remark. BRIO Tuscan Grille - Austin has never disappointed us. The Richmond Stony Point restaurant did, from the point of service, both from our server and manager.
As a vegetarian, it can be very frustrating to eat out. There will be an item on the menu with chicken or shrimp and I order it withbout it and they still charge me the cost with. Well, I will say I LOVED when my waitress took off the price of the meat and charged me a fair price for my meal. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and fair. All in all, a great night out with my husband and we will be back!
We went to BRIO curtesy of my boss via a Christmas gift card. This the first time we have gone to Brio. The food was very good. Unfortunately, our server was not great. She was not aware of the fish of the day so she told us they were out already. This was a 5:30 seating. She also forgot one of our appetizers
In spite of that, we will go again in the future.
Excellent service from our waiter, Josh.
I love the bread, I go for the bread first then the food which is to die for
Late lunch with family after my wedding
We love Brio. Friendly
Food is authentic italian. How do i know?
I am an Italian.
Our meal was very good.
Ate Christmas Eve dinner with the whole family here! Our server Andrew was very nice and diligent as well as the other staff we interacted with. Would definitely go back for a special occasion or date night! Some of the simple pasta meals were a little more pricey than they should have been, but food was delicious. Definitely recommend the meatball appetizer, it was a favorite all around!
Open Table Reservations, but we still had to sit and wait for a table. Very crowded. The waiter said the dish would take at least 35 minutes. My wife and I ordered others. When another server delivered a different dish than my wife ordered, he told us the kitchen ran out of vodka sauce for her penne dish. When our arrived, he was surprised no one in the kitchen told him a substitute dish was sent to us. My wife said she didn't like what they brought her, and she never was consulted on the substitute dish. There wasn't much left on the menu, so she ordered a dish which she thought was unpalpable! No adjustment in price or apology offered by waiter. Not planning a return anytime soon.
Brio Tuscan Grill is one of my favorite restaurants at Stony Point. I have visited the restaurant many times during the Christmas holiday season. This is the first time that I can say that I did not enjoy the visit. The service was extremely slow. The fingerling potatoes were extremely dry. I was disappointed to here that the crab cake entree has been eliminated; it is always one of my favorites selections.
Out of a party of 4, only 1 person was sort of okay with their food. Everyone else would not return.
My family came into town and we were seated with Sophie G. She was extremely disconnected. Her attitude was very rude she even got snippy with my 8yo niece asking for frozen lemon aide. Coming back and saying she can’t have it, my niece simply asked “why” as most kids do. Her answer was “because I said no”. I was mortified. After bragging to my family about the food and atmosphere. The drinks often ran out. Our food came really later, even after several tables arrived after and got their food. We only had pasta and a chicken dish. I saw much more complex food being delivered. I asked our waitress the delay. She said nothing and walked away and came with our food. I tried to complain to the manager on duty. She was nice and said would be taking care of us from then on. That was a lie. Sophie continues to handle us and continued to be rude. We left and for the first time in my entire 35yrs alive I didn’t tip anything. On over a $100 tab. I felt horrible. But the service was horrible and I tried to complain but was on deaf ears. I wouldn’t recommend going back. I don’t know what changed. But the service has went really downhill.
Excellent dinner . Great service . We enjoy being at a round table also. Will return soon.
Holiday annual dinner!
We had dinner there for the first time and we enjoyed our wait staff.
Even though the weather was horrible, the restaurant was busy. We had a great server who was very attentive and friendly. We spent two hours catching up with friends and the evening was wonderful. Food was plentiful and delicious. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back again!
Gathering of friends
waiter very nice just seemed to have no e perience or knowledge. dreadfully slow. after food finally arrived and most of it was barely warm. creme brulee was refrigerator cold. we had manager come to table and it didnt help. desert arrived after that
Waitress was amazing. Very friendly, very attentive but not to the point that she was annoying. The steak I got had a very good flavor and cooked just the way i liked it. Girlfriend got pasta and liked it so much she couldn't stop eating even after she was full. I definitely be back.
Love this place. Food is always good and on this particular day our server was exceptional - the staff is always good but this was even better - and I wish I could remember his name. His timing was just right, and his demeanor was pleasant. Place was packed but everything always seems to run like clockwork. The lobster bisque was great and the beef carpaccio is as good as anywhere!
Our annual brunch was wonderful!
We had a new waiter who was clearly undertrained but trying hard. Food was fair at best with the exception of the carpacio which was excellent. Overall would not be my first pick for a family get together.
Very nice wait staff service.
I think they are having some labor issues, our server was overstretched and it was clear the kitchen was behind as well. Regardless, not the excellent food you would expect at these prices. Ambiance was fine, a very attractive restaurant.
Service was slow on a Tuesday night and menu options were limited.
Service was very slow. Food was great
Treated my special girl to a nice, quiet, and delicious dinner out at Brio.
