Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats.

Perched between the spectacular Pacific Ocean and the hills of Rancho Santa Fe, the Del Mar Brigantine sits high above the action of the Del Mar racetrack.

A lushly landscaped garden offers an unparalleled setting for weddings and outdoor-themed events. Indoors, a formal dining room looks out to the garden through floor-to-ceiling french doors. For more casual dining, the glass-enclosed deck is a year-round favorite.

The Del Mar Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, lunch Monday-Saturday, and brunch each Sunday.

    We had a reservation at 5 pm on Father’s Day. We were seated promptly. The service and food were great as usual. This is my husbands favorite restaurant because of the food, service, and ambiance. For the location and view, the prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants near by. The added bonus is that they take reservations and have valet parking.

    We went for Father’s day brunch. The ambiance and service were truly over the top wonderful. The renovation looks beautifully inviting! Our server was a delight; engaging and interested. The only part that was disappointing was the oysters. Immediately after lunch, I fell sick and have been dealing with chills and night sweats. Very concerned this was due to the oysters. I was the only one in our party who ate the oysters and became ill. Perhaps the old adage about not eating oysters in months without “r’s” is accurate!

    I was there last week and asked for the potatoe chip appetizer with Bleu cheese and chicken. I was told you could only get it in the bar but the server said she would ask and we were able to get them. That’s why I came back again. Yesterday when I asked our server Matt said no against company policy. So if I walk over to the bar I can get them? He said yes. Then walked away. He did come back and take out order but was not interested in us at all. We got our food and it was ok. But next time I’m sitting at the bar and will not request Matt as a server

    Fish and chips were amazing. Best breading we have ever had. I got the Waygu burger and ordered it medium rare. When it came out it was a hockey puck. I didn’t send it back and that is on me, but I was hungry. We didn’t get a refill on drinks until we were done eating. Food mostly amazing but service not so much. It was almost like the check wouldn’t be enough to make it worth her while.

    Very crowded, Taco Tuesday. I thought it would be more elegant dining. Very noisy with young children screaming and running around. Food was a little better than average. Service was very good. I wouldn’t go back on Tuesday. Guess they’re trying to compete with taco take out places and bars?

    A friend and I went here for lunch. We had a nice view of the racetrack/fairgrounds. Service was great; our server was attentive, and our food came out quickly. My friend and I lingered and we didn't feel like they wanted us to leave, which was nice. I had my favorite Spinach Salad and it was as good as always. Valet parking is kind of pricey at $8 but if you're lucky enough to find street parking you can avoid that. The Brigantine remains one of my favorite places.

    My wife and I eat here frequently. Yesterday with friends. The new remodel looks great. The food, service and ambiance are excellent. They have a very low turnover in the wait staff which is a great sign. I would recommend reservations especially during the summer.
