Well-known for our signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish & Crème Brûlée, the Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks & grilled meats.
A favorite destination for locals & tourists alike, the Coronado Brigantine is located in the heart of the village, immediately adjacent to the historic Hotel Del Coronado.
Completely remodeled in 2016, the "new" Coronado Brigantine is an elegant adaptation of its former self. The addition of an intimate private dining room, a surround-seating bar and street-side outdoor patio have been equally well-received.
The Coronado Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, as well as lunch Monday-Saturday.
Seating is terrible! They should ask if you prefer inside or outside in the parking lot! We were not happy customers!
We had great service from our waitress though she missed the birthday.
Great place and great food.
The appetizers were the best part. 2 of the 4 of our party got the swordfish because it was recommended and both said there was very little flavor which was disappointing. Brussels, calamari and fondue were all absolutely amazing!
One of the best dinner’s I’ve had!! The swordfish which the waiter recommended was spectacular!!
Server seemed disinterested in us. We were not told about chef specials or soup of the day, etc. Checked on us once. Did not ask if we needed more drinks.
Food was good, but not great. Swordfish was good, risotto was flavorless, broccolini was under seasoned. Sand dabs were good. Risotto flavorless, broccolini under seasoned.
The lunch special blacked sea bass is the best. We have had it several different times and it's always fabulous. Love the service here also.
All three of us felt our dinners were mediocre and we all ordered different items. The food was really bland. We added salt, pepper and hot sauce to make it better but wouldn’t go back. Our server was great and very attentive.
Appetizers were AMAZING! I think we ordered every one of them on the menu! Great!
The food is incredible and the service couldn’t have been better. This place is a must if you’re in Coronado!
Service was great, food was meh. Risotto was bland, sand dabs were bland. Drinks were pretty good, but cocktails have those paper straws that disintegrate pretty quality so drink quick.
Dan was Awesome!!!! Thank you for a wonderful meal!!!

We were seated in the parking lot, quiet with light live guitar in the background-the nicest part of the meal. I had the wedge salad, the worst I’ve ever had and clearly thoughtlessly thrown together. My husband’s lobster tacos were fried and only fair. Service was below average. Definitely not a special occasion restaurant.
Delicious food, excellent service, and great music too!
We enjoyed our lunch at the Brig. Everything was delicious.
I’m sure my experience would have been better if I hadn’t been seated in a parking lot. Food was good, service was just ok.
Great wait staff and food as semi-reasonable prices. Outside dining along the sidewalk is very noisy and LOTS of dogs barking tonight. The side outdoor dining where the parking lot used to be has very uncomfortable chairs, although it is not as noisy as the sidewalk dining.
Mediocre in every respect. Nothing dreadful but nothing to recommend this place. Will not be returning.
Holly & Tristan provided great service and we appreciated it! Food was delicious, and we sat outside in the shade and had a wonderful lunch.
Very busy for a 5pm time slot and
No happy hour outside which was sad.
While it is nice that there is more seating since the city has allowed parking lots to be used as outdoor seating areas, it is still a parking lot...Food was good and the server was attentive.
The fish sliders were, at best, average. Changes to the happy hour menu since Covid have left something to be desired. Will return for another try.
Great location for simple yet delicious dining not to mention all day happy hour on Monday's!
Loved the food. Had swordfish that was great but we were seated outdoors in a parking lot and there were cars all around us. Should have placed a partition so you could not view the parking lot
Food was great and our friends enjoyed the restaurant as much as we did. Our server didn’t seem to have it together and was awkward, but we enjoyed the outdoor patio and had a wonderful time.
The food wasn't as good/flavorful as what I expected (or for the cost). The halibut was very bland and the lobster tacos were just okay. I didnt totally mind eating in the parking lot dining area, but it would have been nice to have a server who was friendly. I don`t really see myself going back.
We specifically requested to be seated inside which was available but the hostess placed us in the parking lot seating. We were right in the sun, mid afternoon. Not the best atmosphere. We moved to a more shaded table.
Clam chwder was so-so. House salad was good. Swordfish was tasty but not much on the plate.
Overall pretty expensive for average food and eating in the parking lot. Won't go back.
Bread wasn’t as good as it once was. Sat outside, not much ambiance there. Service was slow to start. Great clam chowder!
Great service. Took out of town guests there for lunch. The Brig never disappoints. Very well run and excellent food. Love the European feel of sitting outside along the sidewalk.
We really enjoyed our dinner here.. The filet mignon was amazing, we also got a bottle of malbec which was delicious. Definitely recommend the mud pie for dessert as well!
Amazing best fish stew in town! Order from the bar menu!
We arrived to our reservation as a full party on time only to wait another half hour before being seated. It was only after I addressed the host that an effort was made to get us seated. Furthermore, I listed the occasion as a birthday celebration for my friend. None of this was acknowledged. The food was meh at best. Overall disappointing experience!
Food was great. They were very accommodating to our food allergies and best of all was the service. Dan our server was excellent! Very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to our gluten allergies. Only thing we didn’t care for was sitting at a table in the parking lot. They tried to make it feel like you are part of the restaurant, but you’re still in a parking lot. Overall very good. Would go back again.
Amazing chicken chopped salad.
Went to celebrate my wife birthday,
I made a reservation in advance and when we arrived we were greeted by a rude hostess, I ask for a table inside, what we were given was an awful patio.
On a good note, the waiter was very helpful.
Food was poor and left behind.
food was good but scarce. small portions. setting was very noisy. inside was rustic not the high end l remember
