Brave New Restaurant
Good every time.
The restaurant did not live up to the amazing reviews that led me to select it. Ambiance is ok. Food is ok. It was not the superlative experience I hoped for. Therefore the price relative to the value did not line up. My date and I both agreed we would go somewhere else next time. Nothing bad. Just not up to the stellar reviews.
We have always enjoyed dining at Brave. Everything was wonderful, as usual. The heirloom tomatoes were in season and awesome. The butternut squash soup was the best I’ve had! Entrees were superb; fresh, hot and excellent. Just a great place for any occasion.
Great view from the back patio of the skyline and as always the food was amazing!!
This is a fabulous restaurant on any score. Hidden inconspicuously off the main drag, its second-floor location and full-glass wall provide a scenic view of the river that passes just outside. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. The menu provides sufficient variety to appeal to any diner; and what comes from the kitchen can only be described as exquisite.
I LOVE this resturant and always choose it for out of town guest and those I wish to impress.
The restaurant parking lot, although having some lights, was really dark and actually creepy. The building looked like an office building that was closed. Went to the front door and there was no restaurant sign until we got to the elevator; Went up one floor for the restaurant and when we got out of the elevator the restaurant rug was filthy. Got inside and the décor was average at best. The food was not good and I am being kind. I got the duck which was supposed to be succulent with a crispy skin. The duck was like a rubber ball that took at least 15-20 bites per piece and the skin was so rubbery that a knife could not cut it. My friend had the fish special, walleye, which had no taste just bland. Lastly, the butter for the bread was served ice cold and would not spread on the bread. The waiter said they put out a certain amount of butter for the night and they had went through it. So I guess if you do not get there earlier enough they do not care what the butter is like....very odd comment from the waiter. I will never go there again.
Excellent customer service and great food. Atmosphere elegant and relaxing. View of Arkansas river was beautiful at sunset
One of our favorite places to dine. Always recommend it to friends and family. Food and staff are consistently top notch.
I had the scallops. They were hands down the best scallops I have ever had. Everything we ate was amazing. We were able to sit on the balcony, with a nice view of the river..
Brave New is our go-to for all special occasions and they didn’t disappoint for this birthday dinner!!
loved meeting the chef and Cannon was a wonderful waiter. any time i don't have to ask for anything, they will always get a very generous tip. Great food and we will be back. next time with a bigger group! Beaver
Food, wine and service superb! The interior design lacks so much! No ambience at all!
Bread was good. Salad was the worst I ever had in a restaurant. Entrees were great.
Another memorable meal at BNR on the balcony. The fish special was delectable and the bald eagle made another welcome appearance. Good wine, a gorgeous day, and fantastic food! You can't go wrong here. The only disappointment we've ever had was the lobster salad. This is where you want to take folks from out of town to impress them with Little Rock's cuisine and scenery! And don't pass up the chocolate creme brulee! HEAVENLY.
One of our best meals and dining experiences ever!!
Food was very good as always, Ben our server was fantastic. He's waited on us in the past & is very professional & attentive
Hidden gem on the water. The menu is fantastic and the chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal.
Meh. I don’t know Little Rock, but this was just okay. I had the duck. We shared an heirloom tomato special which for $16 should have actually been special. Terrific waiter.
Double dated with friends and it was perfect from beginning to end. I really appreciated the online table reservations!
Brave New never fails to impress! Outstanding food, excellent preparation and presentation.
Service is very good. Great variety of dinner chef's special selections.
Peter Brave has a great restaurant! He personally met us as we were coming in! The ambiance is great, ask for a seat on the deck overlooking the Arkansas River. The food was delicious. I had the tuna, sushi grade, my friends had the sea scallops (6) and the steak, each done to perfection!
There seemed to be no supporting meal services staff to set tables, clear dishes, deliver food. The waiters were having to run around to get things done and should NOT have been in such a bad situation.
Food was great. My girlfriend was gifted a wonderful birthday celebration meal and it was a pleasure to make her happy..
Consistently good. Hard to find but you'll be glad you did. A fine restaurant.
Another fabulous meal: marvelous mushroom tart with fresh chanterelles, delicious walleye, exceptional tuna, delectable vegetables, a fine glass (or two) of an excellent cabernet, and a chocolate creme brulee to die for—all while sitting on the balcony overlooking the Arkansas River, admiring the mandevilla in brilliant bloom and watching the hummingbirds and the egrets along the river. This is the life!
I wasn't hungry enough to order a usual lunch salad or main course, and being gluten free, I ordered onion soup and caesar salad two dishes I had never eaten at Brave. Generally, I love this restaurant and treat friends here on special occasions. But, honestly, my meal was low mediocre. I make a fabulous French onion soup after living in France, and this was either the worst or one of the worst onion soups I've ever eaten. The I said hold the croutons on my salad, but what I got was a relatively small portion of greens with a bland dressing on them. I ordered a dish of ice cream that was yummy. Clearly, this was not my typical experience and I will be back, but this one was a disappointment.
Expensive but delicious food. Worthwhile for a special outing.
Lovely view restaurant, tricky to find but worth the journey. Food was amazing and service was perfect. Will definitely go back!
Great food, as usual. My wife and were able to have our anniversary dinner at an outside table with stunning views of the Arkansas River and North Little Rock’s Burns Park cliffs as a backdrop, as well as the Little Rock skyline. Perfect weather too.
Very nice choice for our anniversary dinner. Food was excellent and service was outstanding. We ate outside and enjoyed river view.
We drive 500 miles to eat at the brave New Restaurant. Great food , great service! My mother is 95, and it is imperative we take her there for her birthday celebration.
Always a pleasant dining experience
Great experience! Had scallop special and beef tenderloin. Both were perfectly cooked. Look forward to going back.
The young waitress could not have been more ill prepared to be a member of the wait staff. After years of superior service, we were in shock. At first, we had sympathy for her as she struggled to open a wine bottle We have all had this issue. She struggled with taking the order. Our order was clearly waiting to be served and she was unaware. We waited patiently and finally had to ask for our food. Worst of all, it was evident she did not care and was not being properly supervised.
Great for special occasion. Food was amazing however this was my third time there and the roasted potatoes were not as good as normal (a little dry). The server was very nice and energetic however a bit scatter brained and unattentive. Beautiful outdoor veiw from the patito. Will bring you desert with a candle for your birthday but WILL NOT embarass you, which personally I enjoyed.
AMAZING! Seriously a religious experience. Go and you will not regret it.
Except for difficulty finding Brave New Restaurant in an office building area, the evening experience was outstanding. We were seated inside with a table overlooking the Arkansas rever. Our waiter was perfect in his timing. We enjoyed a good bottle of wine from a complete wine list. The meal included a baked Camembert appetizer, excellent salads, the special scallops for my wife and mixed grill for me. We finished with chocolate crepe brûlée for my wife and cheesecake for me. Each item was great and worth the trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this restaurant! Food , service and ambiance all first rate. Especially pleased to visit with the owner. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food and breath-taking view of the Arkansas river. Unbeatable service. Locally known gem.
Has indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a date or special occasion.
