I have visited Brasserie 19 on my last two visits to Houston. The Ribeye is excellent. I would also recommend the deviled eggs topped with caviar! Will definitely be back again!
Everything about the experience was good but not remarkable.
The last time I was here I ordered the exact same meal. It was a salad of crabmeat, lobster and shrimp on a bed of lettuce. It was fabulous. Today’s salad was very mediocre. The only thing I could distinguish was the shrimp. The crabmeat and lobster were totally shredded. No taste at all. Must have been canned. The green goddess dressing tasted more like green vinegar and oil. Somewhat bitter.
We were with other people and I didn’t say anything to the waiter. He was very nice and attentive. My husband ordered fish and chips..also mediocre.
For the price, I would say it definitely wasn’t worth it!
The appetizers were great. We had the oysters with spinach and the deviled eggs!! I got the filet but it was not my favorite. I think it was baked. The service was excellent.
Food was great and service great
Have been there many times and been happy. Saturday was not one of those times. I had reservations for 6:45 and did not get seated until 7:15. The fist was over cooked and dry. The green beans were cold when they came to the table. They sent out a new batch that was warmed but not flavorful and more uncooked than cooked.
Our waitress was great. Very attentive and she explained everything so we made sure we got stuff we loved. Delicious food. Really enjoyed it. I think I just expected a slightly more formal atmosphere. It is pretty casual. But it was still a great dining experience.
We had a wonderful time! Everything was delicious!
We love B19, and frequent our neighborhood spot often. The food and service is consistently good.
We heard many great things but in fact this was not so great. There are better options.
Overall awesome! Waiter service was a slow , but friendly
Great wine value. Decent food.
Jeremy is awesome
I love B19! Good food, good crowd, a true neighborhood “go to”. However, the server we had was one the worst in Houston and the poor service overshadowed what should have been an awesome New Years Day brunch.
My out of town friends were even offended. I will go back but will carefully choose my server.
Don’t let this review keep you away. B19 is still a gem with excellent food.
Great menu with enough American food to blend nicely. If you like French ambiance you will love this place.
The service was great considering a very busy New Year’s Eve. Great food and drinks, wonderful environment
Food is delicious! Trout, scallops and red fish highly recommended.
My cocktail had more juice than liquor.
Amazing!!!!! Waitress was not up to pat for that restaurant.
It was a great birthday experience
The waitress was very good but it was Obvious the kitchen was backed up. It took a long time to get our main entrée
Food was great and so was service!
Food, never a high point at B19, excelled in mediocrity.
Great bar, but the restaurant is not like it used to be.
The braised short rib was excellent, nice portion, rich flavor, slightest hint hint of raisin for a light sweetness. Seared scallop was perfect, nice sear yet still very moist. a nice crunchy dozen oysters, generous portion on the double chop, very tender
Friend’s birthday. Wonderful experience, as always!! The Snapper was unbelievable
My foie gras was a good-size portion and perfectly cooked. The escargot had a nice garlic to parsley ratio, but needed more butter. Also, the temperature was a bit tepid, not bubbling hot as if just out of the oven. The seafood salad was average, not exceptional.
The staff was friendly and service was outstanding. Food was absolutely delicious!!
This was our second time to visit. Both times were for our anniversaries. We love the seafood towers and there are some great wine values. The food is always spectacular. We do think the service is a little snobby. Both times we've been I felt like the servers weren't friendly, they are very good, just not very friendly. My wife and I are younger and maybe not as "done up" as the rest of the crowd, so I think that has a little to do with it, but the service is very good. We will be back.
Forget how good this place is! Can be expensive for a full meal with wine, but is a good value.
This time was spur of the moment brunch after church. Great range of choices for our meal. All well prepared.
Hostess was superbe. Service was attentive, but a little frantic.
Recommend for any occasion.
Loved the vibe and the food. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be going back!
Always love this place. The food is excellent and the wait staff are wonderful.
My favorite place to dine in Houston. Great food, great service and amazing pricing on bottles of wine. Patio is nice in the Fall, Winter and Spring!
Food was okay! Ambiance was awesome! The overall experience was good!
Great service and good food!!!
It was not crowded but there were a lot of noisy tables around us. Our waiter and the floor manager were attentive, specially after they got my wife’s order wrong - they quickly corrected it, struck it out if the check and offered after dinner drinks in ways of an apology. They were great but service has declined a bit since our last time here a couple of years ago. Food was not phenomenal, not bad ... but just not fantastic as our last experience.
It was fine.
