Always good food and great experience.
Had lunch with a friend. Everything was great, as usual.
Great ambience, average food, and extremely terrible customer service.
Birthday celebration for 26 year old. Everyone had a good time. Champagne was great!
Table wasn’t ready for reservation. Our food was not great. Our waiter messed up our checks. Waited 20+ minutes for a round of drinks, so finally cancelled them and closed out to leave. Waiter also argued with one of my friends that she didn’t give him her credit card when she had and he ended up finding it somewhere. Completely unacceptable.
Great Dover sole, trout almandine, and duck confit. Veggies were a little too salty, but overall great meal!
Best place to brunch in Houston! Great food, great service!
Service and food excellent
Service as always was great. I had the risotto and for the 2nd time the risotto was not fully cooked. It was not a huge deal in the grand scheme but strange because everything is usually so delicious no matter what you order. That said, they are very good about making sure that my food is safe, since I’m celiac it makes a huge difference!
We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday last weekend, and had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. We had oysters, salads, steaks and fish dishes. Everting was delicious. The service was attentive, and we thank you George! We won’t wait for another celebration to return!
Brasserie 19 is our go-to for a Valentines date. The service is friendly and the food is SO good. We had the Saturday special (foie gras-topped filet) and the risotto (spring pea with scallops) and both were amazing. I like to save room for dessert here - the creme brulee and chocolate lava cake are great.
Celebrated Birthday but were not offered a Birthday dessert or anything like that!
I ordered a steak with fries and it came out cold. I told the waitress and she brought it back to the kitchen. They heated it up in the microwave and brought it back. That’s not really what i expect from a 48$ steak. Other than that the place is nice and the service was great.
Highly recommend the double cut pork chops and the wine list is limited but still had good choices available. It was a little cramped and noisy but we were there on a busy night.
upbeat young atmosphere, the waiters wore blue jeans and there were kids. this restaurant was more causal that we expected. the foot tasted great and we would come again. the trout for a main course is a smart choice. I would come back and have the trout again because it was just the right amount of food and tasted delicious.
Always very good service and excellent food.
Wine list is very good and exceptionally good value.
I brought my bestie here to celebrate her birthday. We drove all way to town from The Woodlands as I heard that food is exceptional there. Well.. spoiled Europeans.. food was ok, better than average but definitely not exceptional. Service was ok too. Noise level was crazy. We booked a table in advance but didn’t make any special request so our initial table supposed to be by the bar. I insisted to move us and we were lucky to have a table in a quieter area but it still was pretty hard to carry conversation.
Usually restaurants here compliment special occasions with deserts.. well this place did too - with a pile of cotton candy.
Overall - if you are around and want to have a dinner - it’s ok place to go. If you want to impress or make it really special - it’s absolutely not the right place. And .. order your own desert - cotton candy is not a nice birthday cake!
Brasserie 19 is a favorite spot for lunch. I often indulge myself in the Steak Frites. However, the other day the steak itself was not up to standard. Very fatty and chewy.
Always great food, friendly knowledgeable staff and great value for the money!
We started with the French onion soup (decent), the steak tartare (outstanding!) and the crispy Gulf oysters (the oysters were dry, clumps of cornmeal, but the creamed spinach beneath was tasty). Our main entrées were the rib eye (decent) and the seafood salad (good; the green goddess dressing was exceptionally tasty.) We tried the Jalapeño Business cocktail and it was great! Jalapeño flavored vodka, soda, lime and cucumber - a drink with a kick! I asked for a smooth, buttery glass of chardonnay with dinner. The bill lists it as 5&5 - it was okay, but not worth the $20.00 price tag. Our server was nice and efficient. All in all, a pleasant evening, but not really worth the $200.00 bill. However, that's par for the course in Houston these days.
Our table was the very last right right next to the bathrooms, needless to say that there were a couple of tables available in the front which were denied to us regardless! I guess a 400 dlls bill that we spent was not enough for them. Or maybe they just don’t like going through open table for reservations. Who knows what happened?
We were seated by a table that was actually yelling at each other not that they were mad at each other, but they we’re loaded.
Our server we were told was overwhelmed the food was ok. I’m not sure I would hurry back.
Service and oysters excellent
Great restaurant. Perfect service and great brunch. We were celebrating a birthday it was perfect
Brunch with family visiting
Waited over 10 minutes before we were noticed. I asked for a manager and he apologized and took off two Mimosa drinks. The waitress never came and checked. My fish was mushy!
Food was great, but noise level is extremely high. It seems you have to be someone “special” to be seated in the main dining room rather than the bar area. Next time I will specify that I do not want to be seated in the bar area.
We always love Brasserie 19 which we affectionately call B19. We went her with purpose as the day was sunny and gorgeous!!! It is such a great place to sit outside. Everything we ordered was great and our server was good, too. He kindly brought us over one of the umbrellas as our table was getting quite a bit of sun.
Such an epic experience tonight dining at Brasserie 19. Always a great place to have wonderful food. An exemplary dinner with an array of choices. This particular visit was made all the better by our incredible waiter, Avery. His descriptions, suggestions, and recommendations were all spot on. Thanks, Avery, for adding to the wonderful experience we always have at Brasserie 19. Thrilled about what even more is to develop with the addition of the newest addition, Chef Chou. Thanks for an incredible evening to all.
Everything was great except for the noise level. We could not have a conversation. We’ve been there many times and have not experienced this level of noise.
Excellent food, Great wine list.....always a favorite!!!
Last minute business meal with lout of town business partners and it was wonderful!! They loved it! Good and ambiance! B19 you never met me down!
I have visited Brasserie 19 on my last two visits to Houston. The Ribeye is excellent. I would also recommend the deviled eggs topped with caviar! Will definitely be back again!
Everything about the experience was good but not remarkable.
The last time I was here I ordered the exact same meal. It was a salad of crabmeat, lobster and shrimp on a bed of lettuce. It was fabulous. Today’s salad was very mediocre. The only thing I could distinguish was the shrimp. The crabmeat and lobster were totally shredded. No taste at all. Must have been canned. The green goddess dressing tasted more like green vinegar and oil. Somewhat bitter.
We were with other people and I didn’t say anything to the waiter. He was very nice and attentive. My husband ordered fish and chips..also mediocre.
For the price, I would say it definitely wasn’t worth it!
The appetizers were great. We had the oysters with spinach and the deviled eggs!! I got the filet but it was not my favorite. I think it was baked. The service was excellent.
Food was great and service great
Have been there many times and been happy. Saturday was not one of those times. I had reservations for 6:45 and did not get seated until 7:15. The fist was over cooked and dry. The green beans were cold when they came to the table. They sent out a new batch that was warmed but not flavorful and more uncooked than cooked.
Our waitress was great. Very attentive and she explained everything so we made sure we got stuff we loved. Delicious food. Really enjoyed it. I think I just expected a slightly more formal atmosphere. It is pretty casual. But it was still a great dining experience.
