Boulevard Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Our brunch was fantastic! The mushrooms over polenta with egg on top was very well seasoned and innovative. We all enjoyed sharing. The French toast was the best we've ever tasted, with strawberry orange syrup and bits of fruit. Even the breakfast potatoes were great. Our service was professional yet friendly. We love going to this restaurant for all meals.
The best food in Sacramento. The Filet Mignon is the best I have ever eaten. If you want a quiet dinner with excellent food this is the place. Their desserts are also very good. The owner/chef is there all the time and he makes sure every plate is perfect. He comes out to talk with customers and makes sure you are enjoying the food. Many of the ingredients are organic grown locally. I think he grows some spices in a garden area next to the restaurant.
Try this place... You'll be glad you did.
This was our first time dining at the Boulevard Bistro, and it was excellent! The service was outstanding and the food was perfect. It was also Valentine's Day, so they had a special 3 course menu with a lobster special. The dessert was also amazing, we had the seasonal sorbet (watermelon and mixed berry) and a lemon panna cotta.
Went to BB for Valentine's Day dinner - enjoyed the fixed price, three-course lobster dinner. The brussels sprouts appetizer was phenomenal, and everything else was incredibly delicious. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
BB never disappoints. Food is always fantastic. There were just a couple of things. Our waitress who was great btw, told us the specials for the evening and took our orders.
Appetizers was served, a little bit after our entries was served. My wife and I gave a puzzled look to each other b/c we had ordered a salad and also and that usually comes before the entries. We told our waitress that we had ordered a salad. She apologized that she forgot. No biggie.
I ordered the salmon which was the best thing ever but the only thing is the portion, it use to be a little bigger if I remember correctly. This time it felt like I took a couple of bites and I was done. Even my wife noticed how tiny the portion was. Anyway, these things will not ward us off and will always be patron of BB b/c the food is just awesome.
I found the food good, the service excellent and the price a tad high but not out of line. What concerned me is that what is on the online menu is not necessarily on the menu given at the restaurant. I was told by our server that the meu consists of whatever the chef decides on that given day. I would not enjoy seeing something on the online menu then find it is unavailable after I am seated.
Food was very good as was the service. Our waiter Duron recommend the pork belly to start and the halibut, both of which were very good. We had the deviled eggs as well and worth it. Others had the filet mignon and everyone enjoyed their selections. To end we had the bread pudding and po au crème, both of which were delicious. It was our first time after a day of wine tasting in Lodi, so it's close to the wineries if you'll like end the day with a beautiful meal. Highly recommend and we'll be back. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.
The deviled eggs as an appetizer were perfect,; my wife thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly seasoned and served mussels. The bread was delicious. The pork cheeks and the sirloin steak were our main courses; they were wonderfully seasoned and presented. The lemon cotta desert was a marvel. The entire meal demonstrated the creativity and talents of a great chef! The server was knowledgeable and attentive without being too attentive, and our water glasses and bread tray were promptly filled as needed. All in all an exceptional meal! Highly recommended for a special occasion. Reservations recommended, seating is limited.
I wanted to take my wife out for a romantic and intimate dinner.
The Boulevard Bistro was just that!
We had a great table with a great view. The service was very good and the appetizers were fantastic.
The bread was delicious and our entree’s were amazing!
We paired the Halibut and the filet with a Napa Merlot and that made the meal complete.
My friend and I wanted to celebrate our mutual birthdays with good food and tasty drinks. The Bloody Mary’s were savory good! I love the peppered pork belly and the mushroom toast was mostly on point. The mushrooms were a bit salty for some reason which overly contrasted with the brioche toast., but otherwise the meal was delightful. My friend preferred the omelette and loved it. We appreciated the cheese and fruit platter; perfect compliment to an otherwise tasty meal.
A good place to meet friends. No rushing, relaxing atmosphere. But we didn’t know how popular it was, they ran out of 2 specials by noon on a Sunday. Very accommodating when we didn’t care for the brunch menu they made us a salad with seared salmon...delicious!
Tried the spicy Shrimp and Grits for the first time...now it's one of my many favorites! But there isn't anything on this menu that I haven't loved. Service is wonderful, waitstaff are friendly, and there's nothing around to compare, in my husband and my opinions.
