Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. We believe you’ll taste the difference. Bon Appètit!

Knowledgeable and attentive staff. Had rose petals at our table for our anniversary celebration. A very thoughtful and wonderful gesture. Quality of food is superb. Wine list and wines are some of the best in the area.

Duck and rib were excellent. Butternut squash IMO could have had more flavor. Berry upside down cake excellent and our waiter was great. A bit noisy outside for my taste. Overall a good experience. European wine by the glass options could be expanded.

It was ok. The price was high for food that was just ok. A little underwhelming. The service was meh…. I guess they take the French experience serious despite being in the US. It was just ok, an expensive ok.

Our anniversary dinner was perfect here. They decorated the table with rose petals and acknowledged our occasion. The service was relaxed and yet attentive. The food was very good.

It just does not get any better than this. Morgan was our waiter. Your entire dinner experience changes when you have a really good waiter and he is over the top. Morgan is, and of course, the food was perfect and the wine was perfect.

If you are reading this review, stop right now and just book the reservation. I have eaten at the best the best places all over the country and this is worth experiencing.

She had the Lobster Pot Pie which was excellent. The wine selection
and service were excellent.
The salad Lyonnaise had almost no dressing and flavorless thin shaved apple slices, The bleu cheese was excellent. Too much dry lettuce.
My local sea bass was totally bland, potatoes and sauce were almost totally bland. Cooked just the right amount, but the barest hint of flavor in the sauce. Really dissapointed.
I doubt the chef would eat what I was served.
In hindsight, I should have complained but it was my girl friends birthday dinner and I wanted to let her enjoy her delicious meal undisturbed. Sometimes I'm too shy.

Highly recommend ordering the Mushroom Ragu & Trio of Scallops for starters. Their signature dish is the Duck, perfect in every way. Also highly recommend the Sea Bass entrée.

We are locals and we know better. Some of the dishes were good, others disappointing. At those prices, it’s a costly mistake. Lobster dish had a few pieces of lobster in what was mostly a vegetable stew. Pino selection, also disappointing. Waiter only mildly interested in engaging with us. 45th anniversary and birthday, no acknowledgement except a note on some commercial stationary. This only because a huge Bouchon gift certificate relatives had delivered to the table. Honestly, Bouchon, you can do better.

My wife and I had a perfect evening. Everything was perfect. Started with the scallop trio - very good. My wife loved the ribeye - cooked to perfection and I loved the duck. Finished the meal off by sharing a crème brûlée and the port flight - highly recommend. Service was excellent!! Will definitely come back next time we are in town.

First time in Santa Barbara and went here on a suggestion. We were sat near the kitchen so the noise, distraction of the staff and lighting made the experience a little off par. However, the great service and attention to detail along with good food made up for the lack of atmosphere.

Great experience at Bouchon. Staff were beyond accommodating my husband and I with our 9 month old baby. They were so welcoming to us with our infant, very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious! Their outside patio was beautifully set up.

I don’t understand the hype of this restaurant. We came here during our honeymoon trip and ordered French onion soup, mushroom ragout, sea bass and salmon. Everything was mediocre and slightly bland in flavor. I wouldn’t come here again.

Service was first class. Food was outstanding. We were running late due an Uber malfunction and the staff was quick to re-book us for a later time. Outdoor dining was extremely comfortable. This restaurant gets high marks in every category.

This was by far our best dinner (out of 3) in SB - every dish was excellent and will dream of the pork belly forever ... our server Christian was honestly one of the nicest and most helpful people we met. He gave of lots of ideas for local things to do and nailed the wine suggestion - Paul HObbs Pinot - will dream of that too! Love from Toronto ...

Stellar service, great ambiance, delicious food. Dylan was our server & was ultra accommodating. Brought us multiple wine tastings prior to committing to the bottle of wine that we ordered to go with our meal. Not to mention the fact that the restaurant knew that we were celebrating an anniversary & there were rose petals on our table along with an anniversary greeting from the management. Wonderful evening at Bouchon!

Our dinners were a “mixed bag”. The sea bass was truly excellent and the lobster pot pie delicious, although quite small. The rack of lamb was presented luke- warm (!) and the seasonings were sprinkled only on the top portion of three chops. The mixed green salad was sparse; the French onion soup was served in a small bowl. Disappointed…we had looked forward to finally dining here for the first time.

Wspecial night! It was our anniversary and we were treated like royalty. From the red rose petals on the table when we arrived to the service provided by our server David it was all amazing. The food is near perfections. All of our dishes were full of flavor using only the freshest of ingredients! Assessing value is impossible as everything exceeded expectations by so much.

Very nice setting and service! The food was delicious. We let them know that it was my birthday when making reservations and when we arrived the table was set with rose petals and a card. Very nice touch! Will go again.
