Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. We believe you’ll taste the difference. Bon Appètit!

Service was great. All the food was delicious. The duck was subpar. The fat should have been more crispy on the duck. It had an unappetizing mouthfeel. The crab cakes were perfect. My friends had the sea bass and they both loved it. Someone else had the lobster pot pie and they enjoyed it. The chocolate cake was amazing!

This was an excellent dinner. The seared yellow fin tuna was exquisite. I had the braised short rib with risotto and had to fight the urge to devour it. My wife had the duck and thought it was lovely. Our waiter was a loud, gregarious guy with deep knowledge of the wine menu. He also had strong recommendations for our entrees. Dessert was an exquisite little lemon chiffon upside down cake with the local ice cream (a nice Santa Barbara touch.) Overall, Bouchon seems to be weathering COVID quite well (they were booked solid on a Monday night.) The quality of the food and wait staff are no doubt the reason.

For those of you who saw my review from 6/11/21, Bouchon was SO good that we did in fact go back the following night. It was just as amazing! We asked for Morgan again, and he was even more welcoming and wonderful. Everyone there was so fantastic. Thank you all for making our vacation spectacular. We can’t wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the bread and butter to dessert. We ordered the Wagyu beef with the hash - it was freaking amazing! And the service was absolutely wonderful - thank you Morgan! We loved it SO much that we’ll be coming back tomorrow night! This place has definitely become one of our favorites.

We were celebrating 40 years of marriage and the staff at Bouchon did everything possible to make this a memorable experience beginning with a lovely card, some rose petals on the table, delicious food, fine wine followed by a wonderful dessert. Thanks so much for all you did for us during our time with you.

Host at the reception desk looked like she needed a shower. Her clothes and hair look dirty. The table they gave us was outdoors (I requested for an indoor table) w/c wasn't even nice for photo ops. There were available tables inside but they didn't assign one to us. I booked this weeks in advance. You would think that they'd give you a nice spot for a special occasion meal but it seemed they only showed they cared through their cards & rose petal decor. The 1st waiter who came was frowning when he asked us about drinks. We weren't given complimentary bread - we had to ASK for it while other customers had them w/in 2 mins of being seated. Our food came 45 mins later. Super slow service...Food is overpriced & wasn't even that good (Grilled Lamb wasn't tasty. Sea bass was meh, nothing special.) They made us feel less important. Not going back and won't recommend to friends/family.

Bouchon was phenomenal! The meal was perfect and truly delicious, our server Dominic was incredible - guided us through the menu and assisted in drink pairings for each course. The restaurant is tucked on a cross street just off State, making it a bit of a quieter location. Looking forward to our next visit!

Food was amazing! We had the duck and the short rib. I would recommend both. They have a good wine list. The atmosphere is elegant quiet and romantic. It is definite must do when in Santa Barbara!

Absolutely one of the best meals my wife and I have had in a very long time. Server “Dillon” was on point throughout the meal. Always great to find a locally owned and operated place that is running so smoothly regardless of the challenges that have been faced in the last year. Highly recommend the French onion soup, Waygu ribeye and the berry upside down cake. Obvious why this restaurant has been in business a long time.
