Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. I believe you’ll taste the difference and see how well they work together.
We believe Santa Barbara is producing some of the finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Other locally produced varietals will surprise you with their quality, variety and approachability. Please ask your server for recommendations on how any of our 40+ wines by the glass match up with your selections. Bon Appètit!

Predictably good food prepared well and creatively using local organic fare. We come back every year when we’re in town. Order the goat cheese tart and the scallops!

Extremely noisy, bad service by our sweaty waiter Louis. Food was ok. Chef accommodated our vegetarian request which was nice. The taste of the entrée was ok though.

First 2 courses (onion soup and lobster) were fabulous but pork medallion dish was quite salty. I ate a third of it and took the rest with me. Soon after I felt uncomfortable and later that evening I got sick. Soon after I felt ok so easy to pinpoint the cause. Surprising. I’ve never been sick from an expensive meal like this ($120 with tip).

One of the best dining experiences I have had - food was great, wine was perfectly paired and service was exceptional. One of the few high end Santa Barbara restaurants that is truly a reflection of the owners and their staff. Highly recommend.

Spectacular in every respect! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bouchon last Saturday night. Previously, we had cancelled our reservation in October due to a passing of a dear family member and then the fires, with my daughter's birthday dinner delayed until a few evenings ago. The restaurant managed our previous reservations with grace. We were thrilled to have finally arrived! There was attention to detail in every respect from the moment we arrived, our table covered with red rose petals, the incredible food and wine selection (my duck was beyond expectations), the appetizers, coffees, and deserts. We will be back again to dine at this fine dining establishment. Thank you!

Incredible food, excellent service, perfect ambiance. We shared the scallop trio, Steve had the sea bass, i had the salmon. Like a culinary heaven.

Server was the most knowledgeable of any I've sat with and I'm 68. Very helpful. Wish they had cocktails. Don't remember the server's name but he's the tallest of the servers.

We were expecting a French-influenced menu and were disappointed that there really wasn't
anything French. For the prices charged on Entrees, the food was just okay. It was a special
occasion, and rose petals were put on our table. Most restaurants will do something more
than rose petals. Perhaps the Waiter was not aware it was a special occasion, even though
those rose petals were scattered on the table !

Visited for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and we were very impressed with the service, ambiance, and menu/wine list. The owners added rose petals and a personalized note at our table because I had mentioned it was our anniversary. They also gave us a quieter table away from any larger groups. Highly recommend this special place - would love to return here again!

I thought this place might have lost a little of it's shine over the years, boy was I wrong. Everything from being greeted to the conclusion of our dinner here was top notch. Foie Gras and Venison for me, Carb Cake and Sea Bass for the lady and it was all excellent. 5 stars all the way......

We were so well looked after by the owner and team, although first-time clients clearly traveling from overseas. The food and wine choices were considerable and some interesting/less common choices available. Their knowledge and willingness to share/discuss, for example, local wines, was very welcoming. Over two weeks in California and our most enjoyable dinner so far. Thank you!!

Never disappoints! We come to Bouchon every trip to SB and really love the food and atmosphere. Tip, grab a drink next store at Ollie Bar before. Equally as cool!

We went here for our anniversary. I had called ahead to check if there was anything vegetarian they could prepare, and they had said yes. We get to the restaurant and the waiter was unable to tell me what they could prepare, but said they have ‘fresh market veggies’ and that it was ‘chef’s choice’. What I was served was a plate of tomatoes with a few leaves of kale as an ENTREE! This is frankly unacceptable for a fine dining establishment. They should have been upfront about this on the phone as well as in person when asking the waiter. This was such a horrible dining experience, would not recommend this nor will I be returning!

Everything was very good from service to atmosphere. The food was outstanding. My only disappointment was the $35 corkage fee. Seemed a bit high, when most restaurants charge $10-$20. I still recommend Bouchon, just be aware.

This was second visit and my husband's first to Bouchon. He ordered the venison and I had the salmon. We each thought that the other's meal was better than the one we ordered. Both meals were delicious. It is a beautiful restaurant and I would highly recommend a visit.

We were in Santa Barbara to celebrate a birthday weekend and Bouchon was an excellent choice for a dinner celebration. The food and service were excellent. They had access to a number of lovely local wines by the glass. Every course was better than the one before. A delightful evening. We highly recommend Bouchon.

Really outstanding. Would definitely come again. Only issue had nothing to do with the restaurant. Let me just say, call your own cab. The guy they called for us came in a huge SUV, had no meter, no license on display, and charged twice as much as the cab that brought us.

Outstanding service. We ordered a green salad, crab cakes, and main dishes duck and salmon. The salad was excellent and the greens were very fresh. The crab cake was outstanding. The duck was very good and was rich and filling. The salmon was good, but tasted a bit fishy. It is a dish prepared with the skin on and that contributed to the taste.

Bouchon never fails to impress. We came in to celebrate while on our honeymoon 5 years ago and most recently to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday. The restaurant has a very romantic feel and the food is always fresh and cooked to perfection.

Outstanding service. Our waiter was attentive and knew the menu well. Delicious food. They do wine pairing and although we don’t drink wine it was apparent they take pride in providing an unforgettable tasting experience.

Took a group of 8 including myself. Everyone loved it. Crab cake appetizer, French onion soup and hamachi carpaccio all got very good reviews as well as salmon, duck and pork medallions. We all highly recommend Bouchon.
