    Wonderful staff that is very attentive and friendly. Enjoyed eating inside, not outside in the "temporary" parklet. Excellent cuisine; had the scallops, venison, and wagyu ribeye.

    Lovely restaurant! Always excellent service. Our waiter was charming and helpful. Food was excellent. My husband had Rack of lamb and I had the chicken breast- both terrific. Goat cheese and beet tart to start and salad were fabulous.

    Always lovely dining at Bouchon. The food, the service -- all excellent. I took an out-of-town friend who is moving back to the area to dine there last night and she was so impressed she proclaimed that we should go there every Sunday once she gets settled! I'm in!

    Service was NEXT LEVEL outstanding! Tom helped make our friends birthday dinner the most special while accommodating a unique food allergy and a random drink request that was not on the menu. Food was executed to perfection and it was fun to watch the kitchen harmonize so well. We would for sure pick this restaurant to dine at over and over again next time we are in the Santa Barbara area. Cheers!

    We chose Bouchon- Santa Barbara to celebrate after our beach nuptials. We opted for outside seating which was very romantic and intimate, a perfect way to end our celebration. Our server was amazing and also provided us a little extra lighting. We also had rose petals added to our table along with a beautiful and signed congratulations card. The menu had a nice selection and I opted for the Rack of Lamb. The presentation was perfect. I requested it medium and it was succulent and delicious. Unfortunately, due to a health issue, I was unable to finish my meal but I wouldn’t hesitate ordering it again. My Husband ordered the Ribeye and he really enjoyed it and said his selection was very good. I was looking forward to trying the dessert but due to feeling faint, we had to leave earlier than expected. When we return to Santa Barbara for our Anniversary, I definitely plan to return. I can see why this establishment is highly recommended.

    The Specials were perfect: Butternut squash soup and Tuna Aji prepared in a way that delighted the palette with every fork and spoonful. The raspberry desert and fine port and sweet white wines finished the meal perfectly.

    We had the scallop trio and the Pacific white fish, which was sea bass that night. Every ingredient tasted fresh like it was picked or caught that day and cooked perfectly. The contrast of tastes of in each dish was like an amazing symphony. Wow, well done Bouchon!

    For a great experience with friends or a date night with your wife, Bouchon is the place to go. The atmosphere, staff, and food are all high quality. Sometimes....you get what you pay for.

    We were excited when we told the person at the winery we are members at that we were having dinner that night at Bouchon and he reacted by saying "That's great! They have a great reputation". And though the service was excellent (Many thanks to Amy and Dom) I have to say the meal itself was a big disappointment. For starters everything was grossly under seasoned. Bland and also inconsistent from a flavor stand point. Every bite was a different kind of let down. Then the fish was over cooked and dry and my Wagyu was so un-marbled that I questioned whether it was Wagyu at all. Dom our waiter was very good though. Always ready and the wine he selected for us was spot on. And Amy at the front of the house was so accommodating as we arrived early and she made sure we got seated asap. Plus I saw her handling some annoying patrons with such grace and elegance next to our table. :) It was all great except what I feel is the single most important thing. The Food. Every dish was at best average and at worst bland and underwhelming. And for the price you pay you would expect the food to be stellar. My impression is that perhaps Buochon was once a great restaurant serving amazing French inspired California cuisine with impeccable wine lists and service. And perhaps something major changed on the kitchen since then. Perhaps the head chef left? Or the line cooks revolted and left on mass? Leaving the rest of the operation in tact and providing service tp patrons that belies the new lack of quality from the kitchen. Regardless of what may have happened I can only speculate based on how people were excited about us going there but in the end left my partner and I feeling sad about the experience. We only get to Santa Barbara twice a year for our birthdays and even then for only 3 days at a time. So every choice we make to try someplace new is met with anticipation and excitement. This was a huge let down though. Again... 5 star service and wine being let down by 2 star food.

    It took over 1 1/2 hours to get the food served. Then it wasn't cooked through, the steak was extremely rare when two of us ordered medium to medium well. The plates were taken back to the kitchen and then returned with a piece of meat that was 1/2 the size of the first one. The servers were pleasant, but the food was horrible. Won't go back, don't recommend Bouchon to others.

    The food was excellent. The service was good. We were seated inside, but asked to be moved to the patio because of the noise inside. Why do they need to play loud canned music? It is not inexpensive ($250 for two, including two glasses of wine and tip), but the quality of the food and interesting preparation made it a good value. Good sized portions were also appreciated.

    Restaurant has a wonderful familial feel. Chef was happy to create a unique vegetarian entree for my wife, completely off menu and made based on her likes. Food was outstanding. Service was impeccable. A truly great dining experience.

    Bouchon just seems a bit tired and in need of some updated culinary ideas-- even for a traditional French menu. The bread is still good and the seafood fresh, but there's not much that feels special here.

    What a wonderful place. Service and food were amazing and they made me feel very special for my birthday celebration. We started with the goat cheese and pecan tart, continued with the duck and venison, and then finished with the cheese plate. The food was delicious; everything cooked perfectly and so flavorful. We will definitely be back!

    just horrible. tasteless fish. cold confit. mush for salad. pork belly flop. brussel sprouts are the most hated veggie on the planet, the way bouchon serves them tells us why. at this price and with all the managers on their list, NO excuse. sympathy for industry is fading fast. some restaurants on state st packed others empty. bouchon will soon join the empty.

    We go to this restaurant often for special occasions. We can always count on the food to be fabulous and we are picky! We also loved the wine parring, the pleasant staff and the waiter, Dom, was excellent!

    My fiance and I have been trying to try this spot, and it was delightful, ambiance, food, service, everything was exceptional. Her fish was perfection ( her own words) and the duck leg was cook properly with the meat falling off the bone. Dessert, the blood orange tart was a delicious with the sweetness and tartness balancing each other, a new spot added to our list of favorites.

    Enjoyed dinner here last night. The food was delish and service exceptional. We started with the Trio of Sea Scallops for two. Each scallop was presented differently including sauces of carrot & red cabbage slaw, black currants, roasted Brussels aioli; Smoked black-eyed peas, chorizo, slow-roasted tomatoes, kale oil; Fennel & apple slaw, butternut squash, leeks & Madeira crème, I really liked he smoked version while my wife preferred the Brussels aioli the best. All three scallops were tender and perfectly cooked. For mains we had their famous maple glazed duck breast and their Snake River Farms American Wagyu center cut ribeye. The duck was amongst the best we have had anywhere- tender and very tasty, The ribeye was extremely tasty but less tender than we expected from Snake River Farms. The accompanying glasses of wine recommended by our server were spot on.
