   We got there and were seated right away. Place was mostly empty but there was one server / busser cleaning tables that was constantly screaming out "whoop, whoop, that's the sound of the police" which is a KRS- 1 song from the 80's. Very annoying and no one stopped him.

   Molcajete was so great! The portion of fish was immense and the sauce is so good. The grilled skirt steak was so tender and good - the waiter said they hand cut all their own steaks. My son was going to order the chicken tacos off the kids menu but they were chicken tender tacos, which he doesn’t like. We asked the waiter if they could possibly do mahi tacos instead and he said of course - asked us what kinds of toppings he wanted - so accommodating. Service was great - our server Kyle was excellent. Back patio was also great. I’d say the only ok item was the margarita- it wasn’t my favorite but still good. Definitely recommend for a family dinner and would love to try for brunch.

   We went here based on the recommendation of my coworker… Huge mistake. Service was very slow even though they weren’t busy, all of our food was cold when it came to the table and then after we sent it back and were served new dishes, the plates were so hot you cannot even touch them. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Over priced, and undervalued.

    Very innovative recipes. This is no north of the border tex-mex. It was a wonderful exploration of my palate. I will eat here again for sure.

    The food and service was great, but we were told we couldn’t order any espresso drinks, because the machine was broken. That wasn’t an issue until we heard and saw someone else on staff using the machine. Just seemed kind of weird and tainted the experience a little bit.

    As with my previous reviews, Border Grill never disappoints!! We had a party of 18 celebrating Mother’s Day, which we also found out there was a fresh oyster bar included in the bottomless brunch. The staff is always so great to us when we come in, thank you to Manuel for adjusting my reservation at the last minute. Thank you to Adrienne and Redd for tending to us all so well.     This is one of our must do places for restaurants in Las Vegas. We plan our trips, to make sure that we get to go to the Sunday brunch. The food is amazing!! The servers are awesome!! For a great spin on Mexican food, the Border Grill is a must try!!

    The food was horrible. I’ve been there many times and this is the first time I didn’t enjoy it. I ordered pasta for my son and it was awful! We had to return it. I did the endless brunch plates and out of the 5 plates I only ate one because the other 4 were gross.

    This used to be my favorite meal in LV, was looking forward to it the whole trip. Food has gone down hill, and the drinks were very watered down. The kitchen lost our order, and we waited ~45 minutes before we got served. The waiter was fantastic about it and comped most of our check. But definitely no longer the outstanding experience it once was.

    We have been to a lot of fancy, highly regarded, very expensive, dress-code enforced restaurants in Vegas and while they have all been good, none were better than the Border Grill. Our server was named Katey and she was phenomenal. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, highlighted by smoked prime rib tacos and braised short rib enchiladas. The guac was fantastic too, as were the three different salsas and the caramelized plantains. And the Cadillac margaritas! It's not necessarily traditional Mexican food, but it's all made in house. Truly one of the best experiences we've had in Vegas. And it's super casual and unpretentious and pretty reasonably priced, at least by Vegas standards (which ain't cheap). It was just under $200, and that's with 6 cocktails. This will be a regular stop for us on our future Vegas trips.

    Guac was great! Chips were fresh and delicious. Meals were good but not amazing or show stopping. One drink was delicious the other was incredibly strong and just tasted like liquor. Our server was great. The hostess was probably the worst part of it. She was not friendly, didn’t smile or have any warmth, even her body language was angry and annoyed. She asked us to step to the side once we told her we had a reservation but didn’t tell us why. Then she ignored us and stood there at the host desk or walked around for 10 min or so while we just stood there at the entrance awkwardly waiting but we weren’t sure what we were waiting for. We asked a different hostess what we were waiting for and she said she didn’t know and she seated us. We are all allowed to have bad or off days, just realize the effect that has on a guest when that’s your first impression of a restaurant. She wasn’t just indifferent, she seemed annoyed at the world and like we were inconveniencing her personally.

    The plates served to us were cold or barely warm. The eggs on various dishes were over-cooked. The ambiance was completely gone. Service was spotty at best. Sparklingly wine served w/bottomless mimosas was pretty bad. Juices were dished out like they were made of gold. Lots of money spent for a very disappointing meal.

    This is my second time here and I must say that my follow up visit is very consistent with my first visit. So perhaps the first time wasn't a "one-off" experience, but is rather the norm. First, I came for weekend brunch. I was told that the brunch items for the most part is bite or "tapas" sized. So basically, smaller portions. But that should be okay since it's all you can eat. But here's the catch: you can only order three items at once. And since each tapa style order is made fresh to order (which, is good), it will take ~ 15 minutes between each order. Now, if I were to order 3 items and each only comprise of let's say 2-3 bites in total, then I'll have to wait another 15 minutes to get another order in? That is way too long in between tapas style orders, so I opted to order from the regular menu instead. I ordered the beef enchiladas. It was $29 for three. When the entre arrived, it was a la carte...meaning, only 3 tiny sized enchiladas - no sides. Needless to say, after brunch I was still hungry but after spending $35 on my meal ($29 plus tax and tip), I figured, I'll just end it for now and get food elsewhere later. I get it...strip pricing is expensive. But $35 for three tiny enchiladas is kind of pushing it. To their credit, the enchiladas were good...but for the price I'm expecting mind blowing. There are so many other dining options on the strip that are just as good but half the price (or double the quantity). Now, at least the ambiance was nice and so was my server. He did a great job so I do appreciate that (hence, still tipping 20% on the overpriced meal) So my honest take is, if you have 1.5-2 hours to kill and/or not very hungry, then give this place a try so you can decide and experience for yourself. Again, the food is good but just overpriced and too slow in my honest opinion if I were to opt for the all you can eat brunch option.

    Maybe my expectations were too high after seeing lots of good reviews. I left fairly underwhelmed by the whole experience. Two of us dined on Cinco De Mayo, which we thought would be fun - but this may have been a mistake as the restaurant was very busy and servers seemed preoccupied with a number of large groups. We felt forgotten - service was slow, we weren't offered water, there was a long wait for tables to be cleared between courses, it all just felt a bit of hard work. However the atmosphere was good and the outdoor veranda seating upstairs has great views across the pool complex. Food was good but not mind-blowing, and entrees are not overly generous in size. When servers did attend to us they were very friendly and happy to help. On a quieter day the experience may have been a lot better. Having had some outstanding Vegas meals, I'd find it hard to recommend Border Grill over many other options at Mandalay Bay and the south end of the Strip.

    My friends and I wanted to treat ourselves to some good Mexican food and margaritas for Cinco de Mayo. The food was bland and the margaritas were gross. Th only good thing were the chips and guacamole.
