Border Grill – Mandalay Bay

The brunch is fantastic!!!!
Delicious dinner entrees. I had the special, steak (filet) tacos which were very tender, and my husband had the chicken enchiladas. Each entree was about $26 without any rice or beans or pico, so to me, I felt it was in the pricy side. Waitstaff was extremely attentive. Chips, salsa and guacamole also very fresh and delicious, and not extremely salt! Nice option inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
Drinks were great but food not as good as we hoped for. I got a salad and it was way to heavy on the dressing with very little lettuce. Didn't like that our table of 4 got one small basket of chips and we had to buy an appetizer to get more.
Food was good.
Excellent food and went with the brunch items. Tamales were fantastic, spicy shrimp + grits and loved the ceviche type shrimp cup. Great guacamole, salsas and warm chips! Only hiccup was that I was given the wrong Bloody Mary. A1 version A+.
Excellent service. Delicious food. Will return very soon
Always great food. So fresh. Love the service too. The waiters are really friendly and helpful.
Disappointing. We went to Border Grill for the "all you can eat" Sunday brunch. We were seated at our table and then ignored for more than 10 minutes. We had to stop a hostess and ask her to remind our waitress that were at the table. We then waited at least another 5 minutes to be acknowledged. The food was served cold. The coffee cups went unfilled. There was a cool breeze that made dining uncomfortable. We spoke to the manager who seemed to be genuinely concerned about our less than stellar experience so we will give it another try when we return to see if our concerns are addressed.
Great brunch. Live getting the endless small plates if entrees. Get to try different food.
Absolutely phenomenal meal, with excellent service. This hidden gem was my favorite meal in Vegas over our four night stay.
We had to leave before we ordered, so I really can't rate the food or service. The noise level was so high that we couldn't hear the server or each other. Maybe it's not always that way, but at 7 p.m it was terrible. Would never go there again.
This was our 2nd time and had a better experience the first time we visited. The noise level was unbearable and the food was not quite as tasty.
We went to Border Grill for their weekend brunch. Every time that we visit Las Vegas, this is a place that we visit. We were disappointed by the way that the brunch is now served. We had 4 people in our party and the waiter rushed us to make decisions and he served everything family style even though we had asked that we would do individual brunch orders. I also did not like that now the bottomless mimosas have to be made at our table by us, I think that this cheapens the experience. Food temperature was always luke-warm, which was also disappointing. I would not return to brunch at Border Grill again. I am sad about this because we have been visiting for brunch for many years.
We come to the weekend brunch anytime we come back to Vegas. A must.
Amazing food on small plates made to share.
Highly recommend this place.
We were seated downstairs in a rather non-descript and smaller room. The 'happening' part of the restaurant is on the main level. The food was excellent: my wife had a really delicious shrimp and scallop dish while I enjoyed a pork entree with interesting accompanying sides. A little pricey but not bad.
Love the feel of Border Grill – perfect place for a corporate lunch or a friends' gathering. Excellent menu choices and can't wait to return and try some new dishes. I had the Carne Asada tacos and they were exquisite! I could definitely taste the quality of the meat that was perfectly seasoned. We were lucky enough to sample the shrimp ceviche and it was to die for. Our waiter was professional, attentive and never missed a beat. Definitely well-timed and friendly staff. Last but not least...the drinks are not only delicious, they're affordable!
We were a little worried after our Uber driver didn’t speak too highly of Border Grill. But the food was delicious, and they were very attentive to my niece’s birthday! Our waitress, Tara was phenomenal!
One of our guests ordered a burger well done & it came to the table red..sent back and it returned cooked on sides but inedible on the inside.
It is always great here. The service was excellent, food delicious.
Went there 2 nights in a row - meal, cocktails & service were outstanding.
Excellent staff and great food. The Cadillac margarita and pork belly appetizer were the best. Only criticism would be to have waiter say there is a tasting menu before we ordered an appetizer.
I'm only a sometime Vegetarian, but the Vegan options were outstanding!
We thought the food was mediocre and considering the quality of the chile relleno, it was poor (the chile was undercooked with the "skin of the pepper" still intact. There was no ambiance to the restaurant and frankly it was a major disappointment. There were two wait staff who were off to the side who were chatting the whole time we were there which was inappropriate in a restaurant setting.
Our server was great though.
Cannot give enough credit to all the staff at Border Grill, particularly our waiter, Ernesto, who was charming, attentive, and had great recommendations. The complimentary house chips and salsa, corn tomales, and dessert sorbet stood out as did the delicious “jefe” sized house margarita. Everything was delicious, everyone was courteous, and it made for a magical evening for the four of us. We will definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this restaurant! Outstanding!
Had the opportunity to taste the new impossible 2.0 in burger and empanada form. Absolutely amazing
It was a double date and we had a great time very friendly server food was very tasty and savory we will definitely go there again
My husband and I first came here just when we were dating. We started as tourists and fell in love. Now we are locals and always take new guests to come and enjoy. We stop by every chance we can! Thank you for amazing food and your staff is always such a pleasure to chat with!!
Went for brunch on our anniversary, and ate from the brunch tapas style menu. The food was fantastic all the way around.
Our server, Tiffany, was very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food. However, she was quite busy as two large tables were also seated in our section. As a result, our service became less timely, and the originally speedy delivery - from request of food to receipt -slowed drastically about 15 minutes in.
That said, every bite was worth savoring to the fullest and we made our way through almost the entire menu in an hour and a half.
Bottomless mimosas were a highlight. I had my own bottle of champagne and a variety of juices at the table to serve myself at a whim. I was offered a second bottle when the bottom drew near, so no complaints there!
Overall, this was an excellent brunch, with great service at an incredible value. This will be a must for future visits.
Wonderful food, friendly, knowledgeable server (Justin)full of suggestions. Terrific from beginning to end.
Very good food. But the portions weren’t large enough for the price.
Close to the convention hall, a lot of tables and nice selection of Mexican options.
Awesome love it. Great food all the time.
Prices are high but worth it.
Food was good as usual, noise level high as usual, service was very good. The skirt steak was awesome. it was a busy but the staff did an admkirable job getting you seated.
Good food, but kinda loud if your trying to conduct business.
Service spirited and enthusiastic
Food imaginative and delicious
Very friendly and speedy service for a lunch meeting.
The food is great, but the service was horrible.☹️
Great stop if you’re at a convention in Mandalay Bay. It’s just around the corner. Pro-tip.. make resi’s on open table while all your convention goers are waiting in line. AND ask the bartender to put your margarita in a rocks glass!!
Service was good. Timing of food delivery was off. Local discount helps. Food was good (not great)
