Fantastic food, and service. A true gem left standing in the competitive world of fine dining. It is no wonder that this restaurant has so many repeat customers. They go out of their way to meet diner's needs to make it a truly special experience. Food was outstanding and cooked to perfection with flavorful sauces, prime cuts of meat, and decadent desserts. Each course was as great as the last.
Bookbinders is always great, this was a nice way to enjoy Thanksgiving
Amazing Experience! Delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend.
We ate at Bookbinder's for Thanksgiving dinner. The ambiance, food, and service were all top-notch. It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Perfect for special occasions and any occasion!
My husband and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal. The food was scrumptious, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
The food, as usual, was excellent. However, I have a garlic allergy and was disappointed to be told there was garlic in the she-crab soup, the green bean casserole, and the mashed potatoes. There was even garlic, apparently, on the turkey. I switched to the salad, had fries substituted for the potatoes, and went ahead with the turkey (which did not bother me). Dessert was very good. Service was excellent
Outstanding service and food. Highly recommended
The food was terrific, the service friendly and attentive, and the ambience very pleasant.
We always enjoy our diners at Bookbinders & Thanksgiving Dinner was no exception — perfect!
Best steak ever!
The ambiance and food were fantastic and our server was amazing! I will frequent this location when in Richmond!
Absolutely amazing meal as always!!!!!
Great for an intimate date night. Good wine, good food, great atmosphere.
Went for my fiancé’s 30th birthday and it was amazing. From the personalized menu to the staff, everything was perfect!
Simply outstanding! Worth every penny, we couldn’t have been more pleased. Amazing staff, food, just everything! Thank you so very much for making our anniversary wonderful. Definitely will return!
Bookbinder’s went above and beyond to help us celebrate a birthday! They typed out “Happy Birthday Evan!” across the top of our menu and it made the experience that much better. Highly recommend!
Excellent food but rather expensive especially considering all sides are a la carte
A nice fine-dining restaurant with excellent service and delicious food;
I wish vegetables (extras-cost side dishes) were in individual portions or served with entrees.
The food was delicious. We had a party of 7 and the service was steady and enjoyable pace. Me all had different meals. And everyone enjoyed what they ate.
Had our engagement dinner at Bookbinders! Food and service were outstanding. Marc the manager was a wonderful host and checked on us during our meal. Fantastic dining experience!
This was our second visit to this outstanding restaurant within the past six months. We arrived early, as we had tickets for the opera later that evening. The wait staff were most attentive, courteous, and spot-on with their service. The wine and food could not have been better.
Our server was amazing and attentive and fully aware we were celebrating a birthday. She remembered our orders and had everything coursed at perfect timing, her suggestions were great as well. She offered to take photos and even when I left my card at the restaurant she called so I could retrieve it. Overall great experience would like to try this restaurant again.
Outstanding food and service !!!
Jessica at the bar is engaging, friendly and knows the history of bookbinders backward and foreword. Frank is also friendly and engaging. The entire experience was A+. We will definitely return on our next visit to Richmond.
P. S. This is "THE" original Bookbinders from Philadelphia that I used to frequent in the 1980's. They haven't lost a step!
I tried the ahi tuna appetizer for the first time and it was fantastic. We also had the seafood salad that is something we almost always order and it was as delicious as always. Look forward to going back.
Wish the speed of service was better. Disappointed at how much we spent on dinner for birthday celebration which was not matched by overall experience. Had to ask for several things and everything seemed to take awhile. Sever was friendly enough but being in the service industry, I expected much better for such an establishment.
Service was as excellent as the food. We had a great time!
