From the moment we entered this lovely restaurant to the end of our meal everything was perfect! The waiter was delightful, the food could not have been better, and the ambiance charming. I had a scrumptious Greek shrimp dish, my husband had steak cooked perfectly, and the couple with us had duck and said that it was the best that they have had in the Delray area Thank you for making our evening so wonderful. We certainly will be back often!
Great location, great ambience, terrific service and really good food
A little loud right on the street
We have dined at Boheme Bistro for many years. This visit was dissappointing in that the food was uneven and the service very slow. Tables that arrived after us were served before us.
Great date night place. Food and service exceptional. Atmosphere romantic
Food was little bland and portion size was small for the price
Very nice setting. Our typical brunch fare included eggs Benedict and a Brie omelette. Although both were good there was nothing remarkable about it. Good service but had to wait and ask for everything. If you’re interested in your party more than your meal this a great place to have brunch in Delray, especially if you’re in their courtyard
Tonight I reserved an outside table at Boheme Bistro with friends at 7 pm. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. The rest of the evening went completely downhill. Our waiter took our drink orders and after 20 minutes half of the drinks arrived stating that they needed to wash glasses so the other drinks would follow later when they were clean. That was also the reason we had to wait for glasses of water. It took an hour and a half for our entrees to arrive without reason or apology. We were told that this wasn’t fast food so we should be patient. When we suggested that he must be having a rough night with the kitchen backed up he stated, “I’m having a great night and I’m getting fabulous tips.” We were understandably annoyed not getting served until 8:30 as we watched people all around us who were seated after us get served but only an explanation for the delay. Our waiter was arrogant and surly and when the food finally arrived though tasty was hardly worth the wait. Because we waited so long we were unable to finish our meal as by 9:00 the skies opened up and we were forced to grab the check and leave. Bad evening all around we will not be returning.
It was Easter Sunday and my daughter and I were down looking at colleges. We looked around and she found Boheme Bistro. We thought we’d give it a try! Best decision! The food was spectacular! I had the escargo app and the seared scallops. My daughter had the iceberg wedge and the salmon. All was fabulous. Only down was apps and dinner came out at the same time so dinner was a little cooled down when we ate it. Our watiress was very nice, but did not come back till we were done eating. I had hoped to have a glass of wine with my dinner but had a cappacino after. Hightly recommend this for the food and atmosphere. (We ate in the courtyard)
I have dined at this restaurant before and was pleased with it, however this time around I was disappointed with the long wait to get into the restaurant even though I had a reservation. After getting into the dinning area it was poorly designed for handicap access, we waited an excessive amount of time to get service. When the food was finally served, my potatoes were cold. The restaurant is understaff and poorly managed.
We're locals and try to support our local restaurateurs whenever we can. Everything was good except for my blackened mahi-mahi. It was overcooked and dried out. Unfortunately thats easy to do with mahi, so it wasn't a total surprise, just disappointing. We wish all return to Boheme Bistro the near future as we like it there.
The pandemic has not been kind to many FL restaurants. Most are now very short staffed due to months of slow to no business. While the folks at Boheme tried their best, the service was very slow and the quality of the food has slipped since our visit 18 months ago. We will give them another try the next time we are in Delray.
Food is always soooo good!
My favorite place in Delray!!!
This was our first visit to Boheme, so we didn't know what to expect. Things started off a little rocky, with an outside table right on Atlantic Avenue, which was noisy and filled with people walking by without masks. Also, it was our waitperson's first day, and she didn't know much about the menu. However, things picked up from there. We noticed that there were some empty tables in the courtyard that were quieter and away from the foot traffic, and we were able to move. (Why were weren't given a table there to begin with isn't clear.) Our waitperson was pleasant and responsive, and the food was quite good. The hummus and tabouleh were superb, as were the chicken kebabs. The steak was well prepared and tender. The Greek shrimp didn't go over quite as well, but I think that was more a function of my wife's expectations than it was of the preparation. All in all, it was quite good, and we'll almost certainly go back again.
Overpriced for the quality of food. Very languid service but nice atmosphere
Love Boheme Bistro. My number 1 restaurant in Delray. This past Sunday they were over whelmed by people. Service was a little slow. They were caught off guard. It was well wait the worth.
Excellent food, scallops were delicious. Grilled Mahi-mahi was mouth watering. Owner makes a GREAT cosmo!
Beautiful outdoor area and delicious food!
Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. Showed up for our 7:30 reservation (party of 5) on a Monday. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. We were told they only had 2 chefs on duty. I feel a courtesy phone call from the restaurant notifying us of the anticipated (and actual) longer than normal wait times would have been appreciated. We would have cancelled and gone elsewhere. Ended up not being served until 9pm. Not acceptable
I absolutely love this restaurant for lunch, the menu is fantastic, the food is fantastic and so is the service. So I just assumed the same thing would apply for dinner and we were looking for a restaurant that had abundant outside seating at the last minute. Big mistake. We waited for over an hour to get our food, and as great as the menu choices are for lunch they were really just mediocre for dinner. I would not go back for dinner.
Our meal was delicious & the service from Caitlin was efficient & friendly - which made for a lovely evening dining in the courtyard
The service was awful. We were seated earlier than everyone around us, but meal did not arrive until everyone else had finished. So bad, we almost left - but food arrived just as we were getting up. Too bad, cause food was very good. We had been before for brunch and service was spotty, but this was truly awful.
Fantastic! Highly recommended. Delicious food and pretty place.
Absolutely horrible experience. It took over an hour to receive our food and the waitress was extremely rude.
Service was a little slow but it was worth it! Great food.
This was a first for us.
Reserved an inside table, was seated outside on a crowded sidewalk with zero social distancing (but did enjoy the dog curled up a foot from my chair). Looked at the menu noticing the prices were 25% over those listed on Open Table. Waiter thought perhaps the prices had been raised a few weeks ago. Requested a wine list and asked the waiter what he knew about one I was interested in (priced at $50+, the list rising into multi-hundreds). He knew nothing so I asked if he could send the sommelier. I was told there was none as I was not in a 5-Star restaurant.
That ended our experience - we left without drinking or dining - ignore the food rating as we had no experience with it. The Open Table rating system doesn't allow skipping a rating category.
Our service was extremely slow but our meal was outstanding!
We ate lunch outside so we can’t really rate the noise level. We chose to eat out front because I am a people watcher. The food was really good. My husband had escargot and onion soup. He was very happy. I had a Greek salad with grilled shrimp. It was really good. We both had cappuccino, but we should have skipped it. We were so full. This was a find and would definitely go back there!
The food at Boheme Bistro is always very good. The quality is superior and consistent. the ambience is very comfortable and appealing. The server was just a little too slow and did not always check to see if we needed anything.
Valentine’s night dinner. While I am trying to be conscious of COVID times, our waiter seemed pretty bogged down with too many tables. Initially the service was good, then about half way though the meal it went down to almost none. This is an energetic place with lots of street noise from Atlantic Ave. Waiter wore mask but very little space in between tables and bar. Food was alright.
Horrible experience! We waited an hour just to get our appetizers! We had to cancel our main meal and leave because it wasn’t even cooked yet after 90 minutes! And they got my choice of drink wrong.
great place. Service needs more people. Most food was great. The Daily special we not good at all.
Two breakfast plates took 1.5 hours to come out. We were not the only ones, people who were there before us still hadn't had their food when we left.
Terrible service. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted and seated. Then we sat at table for 15 minutes and nobody gave us any service. So we left.
When I complained to a waiter as we left, he responded “ good, move along then”. Rude
Arrived at the restaurant right on time for our reservation for six. We were told they didn’t have a table for us and pretty much said tough luck on our part, but we argued for a bit then they said, they would stick us in the back corner in a 14 person table, which we declined, we spoke to the manager and server who were both extremely rude and condescending but after trying to figure out the situation, the manager was able to put 2 tables together so we could sit and have dinner there. Looking back on it, we should have just left and gone somewhere else. A lot of other people waiting just left. Service was a disaster, food took over 2 hours to get and in between it took about an hour and 15 just to get wine glasses for everyone. I booked this place because of the great reviews, it was a birthday celebration that the restaurant ruined for everyone that flew in that weekend to celebrate. Such a poorly run restaurant that evening - not sure where all the positive hype is coming from.
The service was exceedingly poor. Whether because of understaffing or another issue, is not known. We waited almost and hour for appetizers and another 50 min for the meal itself. We went a full 35 min just trying to find the waiter, as all we wished for was a glass of water. (Which we never received as we were told “we’re very busy tonight”).
The experience definitely ruined what was hoped to be an enjoyable Valentine’s night.
