Always stop here when we are in town! Great place!
Food was delicious. Service was too-notch.
We sat down and the waiter wanted us to instantly order and checked back every two minutes which did not give us time to decide and he made me feel rushed.
If you like Mayo then this is a restaurant for you! We ordered the deviled eggs and they came in a pile of Mayo - not what I was expecting. I also ordered the Fidel which arrived at the table dried out with a huge dollop of Mayo or what they call garlic aioli. The little neck clams were inedible. We also ordered the mixed salad which says it comes with a sherry vinaigrette, but it was Mayo based. Again, not what I expected.
My dining partner liked her Mac n cheese.
We had reservations at 12:30 on Friday. Arrived at 12 and asked to sit early. The hostess was on a call and didn't acknowledge us. She then seated us next to the only occupied table of 8 with people. When my wife asked to move, she had to check - so silly.
We were leaving town shortly so wanted to share some small plates and a paella. The waiter suggested it wouldn't be sufficient so we added a 3rd plate only to leave the meal unfinished. The food was underwhelming. I wouldn’t return.
Both specials (salmon & NY strip) we’re cooked to perfection. Service was also very good! Cocktails were good. All in all 5 out of 5 stars and will return next time we’re in town.
Server was excellent! Food was very good, Will definitely return.
The recommendations from the staff were spot on and friendly. The food was amazing.
The variety of the small plates (tapas) were all good and unique
I have dined at Boca Bistro several times and love everything about the place. Great food and service! Be sure to support this restaurant, you won't be sorry!
Great vegan options.
Great place! We love tapas and this place killed it. Sangria was good, the fabada was phenomenal and all of the items on the tapas menu were spot-on. And we couldn’t believe how affordable it was - great value fir the quality of the meal.
Everything was top notch at Boca Bistro. It was one of the best small town restaurant experiences we've had ina long while! We listened to our server's recommendations which worked out quite well!
The chicken sandwich was super tasty! They have the best sangria!
We were sat at a table right at the door leading to the outside dining area. Throughout the entire dinner waiters and customers were constantly going in and out. It was a rather chilly evening and a rush of cold air came in with each opening of the door. It ruined what should have been a great evening considering the great food and the amazing server we had.
Great food and service. Delicious Paella and Tapas.
Octopus was the best I’ve ever had
Always enjoy Boca Bistro. There are lots of vegetarian options, and we get to try a little bit of everything. The atmosphere is really nice, and the service is great!
Easily the best brunch, possibly ever. Food service, just everything about it was exceptional, especially considering the we went as part of a weekend anniversary celebration, and had never been there before. We were totally pleased.
We always enjoy Boca and thank the management for the extra effort they put into making our visit enjoyable.
Tapas were disappointing.
The shrimp and pork bellies were over cooked. The goat cheese salad was excellent
8-10 Tapas with a group of nine people. Food was delicious and service great!
We ate outside, which is nice but traffic is very noisy.
Service was outstanding! The only complaint we had is that the drinks were very weak.
Service went down hill. Very sad.
We enjoyed our visit to Boca Bistro. We happened to schedule our reservation during the "Siesta" menu portion, between 3 and 5 pm, but were quite happy with the food and craft cocktail selections, as well as the values. Overall, would definitely recommend to friends!
Terribly over priced for what you get, great waiter.
Service was GREAT. We had 4 tapas, one of which had been newly added to the menu since I had been there last. I like that you add an occasional new offering while still keeping the forever favorites such as the stuffed dates. As many of us move to a healthier lifestyle, I find your bartenders to be very creative and accommodating in their creation of mocktails! Thank you! Love your restaurant.
Sadly the only great thing about our dining experience was the very professional waiter who took over waiting on us after being mostly ignored by our waitress. The food was over salted and yet hot and tasted good.
Boca Bistro was just ok. The sangria was good but definitely not the best I’ve had at a restaurant. Sadly, The Cheesecake Factory has a much better one.
For appetizers we had the chef’s selection of cheeses (good), pork belly (not well seasoned; and the rice and beans tasted like it came out of a box), grilled octopus (good, but this same dish is much better at Osteria Danny in Saratoga Springs), bacon wrapped dates (ok).
For dinner we had the Paella Mixta. Sadly, all of the seafood except for the shrimp and scallops were severely over cooked. The squid was tough and dry; the clams and mussels were awful….they were actually stuck to their shells and completely shriveled up). The rice was tasty and the vegetables were cooked nicely. There was barely any chicken in the dish. The chorizo was spicy and delicious but some pieces were also over cooked and dry. Timing is everything with paella and adding ingredients too early can spoil the dish.
Overall, for a total bill of $200 incl tip, we would not go here again. We have no problem spending money on food but if the quality is lacking, then we don’t go back.
Atmosphere was comfortable and the rustic design is attractive. Service was prompt and attentive.
Great cocktails. Variety of food on the menu - we tried the tapas. Very good. We shared the peppers and the pork belly. Bartenders were friendly and helpful.
Food is just so damn good. Wine and drinks perfect.
Whenever we are in Saratoga Springs to visit our daughter at Skidmore we eat at Boca Bistro
This restaurant never disappoints. Excellent service and food! Highly recommended
Boca Bistro has a charming interior with copper lined ceilings (that add to the noise level).
When we arrived, the restaurant was maybe 25% filled. Then was full by the time we ordered our meal.
The food was good. I had a salmon special that was the most perfectly cooked salmon I've had. My husband's was outstanding. The food of our two guests, and salads, was good.
Our service paled compared to what the experience could have been. We waited and waited for our food. Our server was young and didn't understand what good service is. She failed to refill our drinks. We needed to flag her down, or someone else, for everything. There was a large party next to us that arrived after we ordered, we shared our server with them and other tables. They got her attention and ate two courses, many rounds of drinks, paid and left, before our plates were cleared more than two hours after we arrived. We were never offered dessert.
Boca was recommended to us by a friend in Saratoga Springs as one of the best restaurants in town. We were not impressed and will not be returning. We found other fantastic restaurants we will give our business to.
Our server was excellent. He was enthusiastic, friendly and very efficiently professional.
