New chef, smaller portions, same prices. Was disappointed. I want the old Boca back
Food, service, ambiance, great. Would go back again in a flash
Enjoyed an excellent paella, their cool alt-caesar salad, and good draft beer
Overall a nice dinner. Apps were good, wine selection excellent. Paella entree was not as good as usual. Very light on the arroz. We were there on a Saturday night 7pm reservation and had just finished our entree at approximately 9pm (paella takes a while) when our waiter dropped the check without asking if we wanted dessert/coffee. Seemed to be in a rush to close us out even though he had two other tables still eating dinner. Four of us dropping over $300 and getting rushed out? Very rude. Ruined an otherwise wonderful evening.
The restaurant has a great bar and the wine selections were great. Service was excellent and the waiter was very professional and attentive. The little plates we ordered were ALL over cooked and dry- the pork belly, the octopus and the fried avocado.
We are recurring visitors to Boca Bistro and enjoy the tapas/entree/ paella options available and the care taken in the presentation and quality and techniques of the meals. A few takeaways reduce the five stars to 4 however for example: the scallops at $22 is not a good buy although nicely prepared over priced. The spirits prices tend to be more expensive than other area resturants. And although menu choices vary due to season , chef staff etc the seafood stew broth was not up to past experiences, and we miss the pork belly and pate tapas selections hopefully to return in the fall. When crowded like many resturants it can be noisy and conversation with difficult. But still one of our favorite places!
We had an impromptu family brunch here as we were traveling through Saratoga Springs and the food was delicious. At first I was scared that they may not have a kids menu for some fussy kids, but in addition to the lovely Spanish food they had some simple staples for kids too
Great! Loved it
The luncheon menu was not as big as I would have liked. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it was a little odd, being the color was that of spam with similar consistency. My husband had a cup (small) of the soup of the day which he liked, and pork sandwich. He liked the sandwich. I think dinner would have been better but we probably won’t be back to find out. Our waiter was AWESOME!! His name is Lynch. A very nice personable and efficient waiter.
My wife and I decided to go to Boca for dinner for our 25th anniversary as we had our wedding reception in Saratoga Springs (we live about 35 minutes south) and, happily, the summer flat track crowd had left town. Great service, the food was terrific (we went with four tapas items and a carafe of sangria) and it was a great evening to be out on the patio. Looking forward to going back once the weather turns cooler/colder to sit inside and go the route of trying the dinner entrees.
Paella was good but it could have been cooked more evenly. One side was cooler than the other.
First time at Boca Bistro. Nice place and busy. Tapas menu was excellent and paella was very good
We will be back
Boca is terrific. The food is excellent. The wait staff varies in quality. The noise level can be an issue.
Amazing upscale restaurant in the heart of Saratoga! Service was top notch, friendly and knowledgeable. Cuisine? Outstanding! Menu options were plentiful and the execution was perfection. Honestly couldn’t lodge one single complaint. We had a nice romantic dinner for two for our anniversary. Definitely going back
We were seated on the porch promptly. Great table. Food is terrific.
The staff seemed overwhelmed and we waited a while just to speak to a hostess (even though we had made an advanced reservation). The food was good though a bit expensive for what we got.
Been to Boca many times over the years. The food is always interesting and well prepared.
Great, as always. Wasn’t a fan of the beef with the heirloom tomato.
Service was absolutely the best, attentive fun staff. Food was very good, especially the tapas. Boca has a menu with a wide range of interesting options.
Awesome restaurant great food great people great time
The menu has changed drastically over the past year and not for the better. Nothing on the menu was as good as it was a year ago. It’s like David Zechinni stopped trying to wow customers with authentic Spanish creations. Also, I know tapas are intentionally small plates but these were tiny for the price. Had Paella for the first time and it was well below average.
Good food, great service, a bit on the high side for price.
We enjoyed our meal at Boca Bistro. The waiter was friendly and helpful, the food good , and the atmosphere a bit loud but pleasant.
The chorizo tapped was small and barely enough for 2, we ordered the chicken large plate assuming it was big enough for 2 to share since we aren’t big eaters and we’re disappointed that it was more like an appetizer. No bread was served to us too☹️
The hostess refused to sit us at our table at the time of our reservation although the table was obviously ready. She insisted that we wait at the bar for no apparent reason. We were the first to arrive and then she sat another group before us. The food was good but extremely small portions. The chicken with rice dinner featured a small breast with literally two table spoons of rice. Will not return.
A mediocre seafood paella in Spanish restaurant - need I say more.
Amazing!!This was one of the best places I’ve ever eaten at!
Excellent food, service and wine. Can’t wait to return.
Just too noisy, expensive, for small plates
Good value. Very good food. A bit noisy for me, but admittedly probably not for most other people. No hesitation recommending this restaurant.
Thoroughly enjoyed the pork ribs special (meat fell off the bones), deviled eggs with salmon roe, octopus and salmon-multi colored string beans special dinner entree. Wide variety of small plates and entree options. Restaurant decor very creative; walls made from wooden wine cases. Service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Wish I lived closer!
We were seated right away at a cozy quiet table. Service was no where to be found for 10 minutes. We place an order for drinks and appetizer. Drinks came, no appetizer. We ordered the Paella but was told one oven was broken and it would take an hour and 15 minutes. So we ordered tapas. Still no appetizer. Our tapas started coming out, however, order they were served served was given no thought. Unfortunate. 3 tapas were very good, 2 were less than mediocre. The real interesting part of the evening was the table next to us came in after us ordered paella, and it was served before our last tapas came out. I HADTE BEING LIED TOO AND WOULD NEVER GO BACK.
We visited Boco last year with group and returned again
..Lucky for us it was a quiet night. Shane was our server, who we also had last year. Dined outside. Lots of attention from Shane. A perfect night. Looking forward to next visit. Plus paella was delish.
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good, especially the dessert. I would definitely visit again.
Our server Adam was very courteous and extremely kind, the food is great (as it has been for quite a while, get the shishito peppers they're a classic and always great) Overall a great meal for me and my girlfriend.
The atmosphere at Boca Bistro is very cozy and warm. The design is unique and the lighting is nice. Our party of four shared about 8 or 10 small plates. The food was good but did not blow any of us away. We felt a little rushed because we asked the server to bring the plates our slowly and staggered so we would have more room on the table and take our time. Unfortunately it almost all came out at the same time. There was barely any room on the table. They also didn’t clear the empty dishes which was very annoying. Service could have been better. The experience overall was slightly above average. A little disappointing for the cost.
Have been there several times before and have really enjoyed. However our meal was terrible and way overpriced. Octopus was hard and burnt, corn tasted frozen not fresh, cheese plate had maybe 4 or 5 pieces of cheese. Had to ask multiple times for more bread. We were really looking forward to a nice meal even if it was going to be pricey however it feels like a rip off when the food is not up to par. We won’t be going back
What a great place- the tapas we ordered were super as was the goat cheese/bibb lettuce salad. The service was great. I was especially fond of the fact I never once had to ask for water- it was always there!
