The food was delicious and our server was great. The restaurant even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary!

Our waitress was professional and personable. The food was great. Highly recommend the crab cake and the shrimp and scallop Mozambique special should it be available. We caught bad weather but I don’t think they could do anything about that.

The Boat House has always been a special place for my husband and me. At our last visit we thought we would avoid the crowd by making 2 o’clock lunch reservations. We were wrong. The restaurant was crowded, we waited longer than usual for our food, and my hamburger was lukewarm when it arrived. We did not complain because we did not want to wait for another meal. Lesson learned — we’ll wait til the fall to return.

The food has declined over my past few visits. The salad was not crispy and too much dressing. The others are the table were disappointed in their meals. The first time visitors thought the lobster salad sandwich was tasteless and were so disappointed. The other diners were surprised at the downside of our meals. Sorry to say but you asked. Usually the waitstaff is great yet our waiter appeared to be in a rush and rushed us through the meal. She took some plates and never asked if she should. A couple of people were still eating and she brought the dessert menu.

We were seated facing the water, it was beautiful and relaxing. It was a bit chilly so I would suggest bringing a sweater; just in case. The waitress was friendly and efficient. We were not rushed. We ordered our drinks as we were reviewing the menu. We then order the calamari appetizer. They were tender, the dipping sauce was very tasting. As an added treat here was also slices of spicy peppers battered and fried. For my entree I chose the special, Sole meuniere with couscous and spinach. It was excellent, the sole melted in my mouth. My husband chose the grilled scallops with whipped potatoes and brussel sprouts. He said the scallops were very good (he is very critical of how scallops are prepared) as well as the brussel sprouts and he was pleasantly surprised the whipped potatoes were real potatoes. We then ended our meal with after dinner drink and a shared dessert of Death By Chocolate skillet brownie with gelato. It was enough for four people. lol. It was a perfect meal for our anniversary. The waitress didn't charge us for our anniversary dessert :-).

Our server Holly was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We sat outside, it was beautiful with all the water views. We had very nice drinks and our food was delicious.
