Boat House Waterfront Dining
Was my 1st time and it was amazing food drinks was on point loved it all
Father’s Day! Calamari and clam chowder very good! Seafood scampi is good, but a little to salty for my taste. It kept me from finishing my meal. Considering the prices improvement is necessary. The rib eye was definitely a different version than expected. Seemed more like a New York strip. Which is good, but ribeye is definitely a better choice of meat. I would change these simple things and it would be a 10/10 instead of 6/10.
Great Food and Great service. The drink menu was also fun. We have found a new favorite restaurant.
It was beautiful everyone was super nice and attentive, the hall of fame chowder was amazing everything else was just ok would try something else if we went back again
The Boathouse Is a treasure to experience waterfront dining at its best. Excellent service ambience and food. Limited menu but everything I’ve eaten so far is top notch. Great bars one in front of restaurant one in back. Lovely place. Great experience but always make a reservation cause it’s very popular.
We frequent the Restaurant group and the receptionist were rude, and our waiter screwed up our order with 3 different items. They are not up to standards. I do not recommend the Boat House unless your seeking ambiance.
The location and menu are very good. This particular day was clear with a light breeze, so having the large bifold windows open felt almost like outdoors. The portions are just right for a filling and satisfying meal, with very good flavor and presentation on the plate. As at other visits, the pleasant atmosphere is perfect for conversation and relaxing.
The Boathouse is set in a beautiful spot on the water in Tiverton. It is away from the crowds and traffic of Newport. Free parking! The food and ambiance was outstanding. Our waitress Shaney was awesome😀
Ash our server was amazing! Everything was great.
Sat at the bar with Kit as our server and bartender. Very professional, friendly and attentive. Food was very good (swordfish). drink also very good and reasonable considering the ambience. Will definetly return and hope Kit is working .
View was magnificent, food was fine, drinks were excellent
Our experience was great as always!!
Every time we come to eat we get a 5 star service. And we come at least twice a week. Every thing from the greeting to the thankyou when we leave is a awesome experience. Best restaurant in my eyes.
had nice time there for My B-DAY going back thetre again next week for my sister's bday
becuase we hang out afterward in the lawn area by the water.
By the way the Bay Chairs were filty they need to clean them..
Great service! Our server was excellent. He was friendly .
Although reservation was made almost a week ahead, couple walking in at same time as we did, was given a lovely able by the window with a view of the sunset. We were told there were no available tables and we would have to wait. We were later given a table near the server station and views of spray cleaning bottles, dirty dishes and the route to the bathrooms.
After repeatedly asking for a different table, we were finally given one inside near a window. Seemed better than before but as the evening progressed it began to get very cold. We asked a server if the window could be closed (initially we could not figure it out); she said she had no idea how to do it but would send someone who did. That person never materialized.
An appetizer which was served in a small cast iron skillet was a disaster. The server said to be careful of the pan because it was very hot (it was) but the appetizer was completely cold. By the time we could get the attention of our wait staff, almost 30 minutes had gone by and we elected not to wait for a redo but proceed with the main course.
The bill arrived too quickly and they said they had removed the appetizer from the bill-as though they were doing us a huge favor. This should have been obvious and at least offered to bring a dessert as an apology.
I have always liked this restaurant, not great, but reliable. It will be quite awhile before I go back again.
Birthday celebration! Everything great, we were charged an extra $7 for a beer we never ordered. Didn’t make a big deal and paid. Too nice of a night to say something! Thank you awesome as always
My wife and I were celebrating a special occasion and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. The food was excellent and the view was breathtaking. It is clear to see why dining at this restaurant is in such high demand. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are celebrating a special occasion or if you are just looking for an awesome waterfront dining venue
Miss the bread! One of the reasons we have gone to The Boat House.
Pleasant atmosphere and beautiful view. Hall of Fame chowder was excellent.
Everything was great as always!
Met a co-worker for lunch. The service and food were just as great as the gorgeous view from our deck seating. I enjoyed the Scallops with Lobster Risotto and my co-worker enjoyed their lobster roll. The key lime pie for dessert was decadent.
I can tell that other customers were shocked that Blacks were eating there and the seating offered was in a terrible location
Made reservations 2 weeks in advance and noted it was our anniversary (47). They put us at a high table built for 2 next to kitchen door. Pretty poor and requested a different seat. Did not request outdoor dining, as middle of June can be cold, windy or rainy. Better seating couples is needed !!!!
Nancy, our server was fantastic!
Great view, well designed restaurant, and more quiet than others with a circular bar and open dining area. Service is exceptional. Calamari is wonderful, our entrees were good, but everyone's taste varies, so your experience may vary. With so many competitive seafood restaurants in the area, there are others we prefer for the food, but this venue is very tough to beat as is the front of the house. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great venue for a special occasion.
Our party of four was scheduled to play in a golf tournament, but due to a heavy downpour, we decided on lunch instead. After Boathouse was suggested, we were delighted that they were open on Monday and quickly reserved a table. Two of us had never been and were delighted when arriving at the locale. The area is waterfront and located in an area that you would not "stumble" upon if you didn't know it was there. We all enjoyed our cocktails and lunches and even in the rain, the view is soothing and pretty. As a lifelong Rhode Islander, I can't believe this was my first trip there, but it certainly won't be my last! Perfect spot for any occasion.
Returned to The Boathouse to celebrate a relative’s birthday. Have had average to good experiences in the past but this time it was outstanding. We were seated at a choice table near the wall of windows, it was perfect. The server’s name on the receipt is listed as Smaldone, don’t recall her first name. She was very businesslike and efficient and could have smiled more but she was very attentive and brought the birthday girl a complimentary dessert with a candle without asking. Seems so many restaurants no longer add that special touch. Our meals were outstanding, three of us had salmon and another the seafood scampi. The views totally enhance the dining experience and we look forward to returning.
Amazing food, cocktails , and service. After dinner we sat outside to finish our cocktails and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s such a magical place!
Fast service, beautiful location and great food!
This was my first time dining at the boat house. I met my son and his fiance there for lunch to see the place. They are having their wedding there in September! What a beautiful place! Outdors is just lovely! The staff from the hostess, bartender and server were top notch! Food was delicious! Can't wait for the Wedding.
Wonderful, as always!
Expecting to have brunch only to be told you no longer have brunch was a big hurtle to overcome; however, our server was outstanding and the lobster roll was delicious.
Bring back brunch, please.
Excellent night out at the Boat House! Our server Nate went above and beyond to make our night special. Can’t wait to come back!
service was friendly. food was tasty. relaxing location
Enjoyed celebrating a milestone birthday with friends. The food was outstanding and the service excellent.
The Boat house used to be my favorite place to eat. However the last two times I have been there have been a disappointment. In this visit, the lunch salad was served without its dressing and the lobster addition to the salad ($22) was maybe one ounce of lobster. The server was also distracted while at our table and did not make us seem very welcome. Hopefully the Boat House will come back to is better standards in the future.
Food was good; lobster roll skimpy especially for price; everything else excellent
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at The Boathouse and were especially please with the restaurant. Our dining was inside by an open window on a gorgeous day. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and our server, Claire, was exceptional. She was polite, attentive to our dining needs, and always communicated with a smile. The food was plentiful and tasty, though pricing is a little on the high end. None the less, for our special occasion, it was an enjoyable experience.
