Al always a great dinner but I would like to say that the mezza plate should be served on a larger platter. The size platter is too small to enjoy the components individually, everything tends to get melded together rather quickly.
Seasonal menu that highlights the Rhode Island coast. Not a bad table in the restaurant with ocean views all around. I would recommend for a special occasion or casual lunch with friends and family.
Great service. Great food! We went for restaurant week and it was wonderful, with the exception of one dish, which was just ok.
We went for restaurant week with friends. Some items were quite tasty, others just average. The restaurant was a bit noisy early on making conversation difficult. Service was below average. Even though it was restaurant week, I did not feel the meal represented much of a value.
Service was great! Food was delicious! Newport Restaurant week special menu was a great value!
First time at this restaurant and will definitely go again, we were here during the Newport Restaurant week and the prie fixe menu gave a number of unique choices that were very good; good wine list and I'm sure in the spring and summer the view will make this a go to spot.
Happy hour means 1/2 price appetizers not drinks. Check which days of week. My sea scallops were excellant, my husband had scampi & was said the shrimp & scallops lacked taste. Not sure why but both entrees were over $30. All else ala carte. Their restaurant week menus looked inviting. Beautiful setting, water view visable throughout restaurant. Outdoor covered dining & events during season. Adirondacks for drinks at the waters edge.
Always a great at the boathouse, wish they had more bar area seats. We will be back!
The baked stuffed lobster wasn't up to its usual standard. We had it for lunch; previous occasions we had it at dinner.
Great waterfront dining with great views and ambiance truly a good place to celebrate a special occasion with fresh tasty well prepared dishes.
We got Engaged at the Boathouse 3 years ago and were celebrating that day with an amazing romantic dinner! Everything was perfect!
Our waitress, Randi, was fantastic. A friendly, down to earth, helpful waitress that put us at ease to enjoy a wonderful, relaxing evening. The food was not as good as I was expecting (dry, not fresh fish), but I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try again. A stunning view without being an "elite" atmosphere.
Had a great meal with friends. Unfortunately the woman at the next table ws very loud
Great place, good food and drinks. The service is good
Very nice place, great menu, great staff. We enjoyed our meal very much!
Great food and amazing service. Highly recommended!
We have been many many times and have had a function there. This was the first time that the service was not outstanding. Our server was not engaged and just went through the motions of our meal.
Me and my wife went for our anniversary the staff was fantastic and helpful it was our first time and will definitely be going back the food was excellent and plentiful we couldn’t finish and when steak and seafood is the Entrées that is saying something
Love the Boat House. Great sunsets on the water. Attentive service.
Have gone a number of times. They were out of lobster so I ordered Paiella 2 clams, 2 shrmp, . The rice was gummy. Nor good for 27 dollars. very disappointed. Other people have said its gone dowhill.
Honestly the best steak dinner that me and my girl friend had all year. I had the ribeye and she had the fillet both were outstanding. Beer and wine were great.
We will be back again very soon we’ll worth the drive to tiverton.
My wife and I love the Boathouse and as Fare Rewards member the value as well. This was our birthday dinner as we have celebrated every year since The Boathouse opened. Also had our wedding dinner with a small party. Never have we been disappointed with our dinner.
A perfect place to take friends. Service, food, and view are exceptional!
Third time is the charm although to be honest so were the first and second times we had the chance to dine at Boat House. In town for our once per semester college visit and it seems clear this is the place of choice each time around at this point.
The Mezze Plate is absolutely spectacular. I'm a middling fan of hummus but the hummus in this dish is just tremendous and it is complemented by everything else that is included.
As for the clam chowder, our daughter thought it was exceptional.
On the entrée front, the new menu offering which I ordered was the Apple Cider Brined Chicken which was crisp and tasty on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The trimmings were a nice flavor balance.
My wife loved the Cioppino and the simply prepated salmon hit the spot for our daughter.
The meal was wrapped up with pumpkin flavored season special which was light and airy and just perfect.
I apologize for the gentleman's name escaping me but once again our server was fantastic (a big horror sci fi fan was he). It's a fine line between being engaging and overstaying one's welcome but in my eyes I would say it was right on the money.
Looking forward to the next visit. Do you ship the hummus?
An upscale experience with terrific food and service!
Good food, nice restaurant overall.
Food was wonderful. Service was very good. Our only complaint was that we were seated in the patio section (not the main dining room). We were seated on the edge/window table next to the tent wall?!? And it was cold! Very cold with a draft coming through.
Great new menu with interesting healthy options. Also gluten free options!
The service is excellent. The menu had a good number of interesting and very appealing selections that made it stand out from most restaurants.
The drinks are also top notch but could be larger in portions for the price which averages $11/cocktail.
The seating is comfortable and there are many tables with a water view. There are at least two outdoor seating areas too.
Do take a look at their menus beforehand to get an idea of the many delicious choices you will have to make.
For dessert, the Warm Brownie Sundae To Share is to die for! I wholeheartedly recommend that choice. It's so worth it!
Great views and nice place but brunch is average.
The potatoes were dry and the waffles seemed to be have been heated for a long long time.
The eggs and bacon were good. The service was very good.
Had the lobster crab fritters, tuna special last week and the Nutty Botanist cocktail, all were perfection!
Celebrating 1st year wedding anniversary. It was perfect!
Came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had an exceptional time. We indulged, and were quite pleased, in a few of the crafted cocktails The food was excellent as well as the service. The location was definitely a plus. The view of the sunset was fantastic.
Thank you and we look forward to visiting again.
Location, service, & food were all perfect! Beautiful sunset & decadent dessert!
Great place! We always have good food and the view and service is always excellent.
Great waterfront location and comfortable seating areas. Two separate outdoor dining areas are both nice. Excellent seafood and reasonably priced. Their house chowder is incredible!
We went to celebrate a birthday. We had a window table although outside seating was available. The weather was perfect fall New England with a bright sun on the water watching boats pass by. The cocktails were great, the food, just as we ordered and delicious and our server was wonderful allowing us extra time to chat with the birthday girl.
A very Average experience. Somewhat underwhelming
Good food & drink at reasonable prices and service was excellent
