BO-beau kitchen + garden
We walked in with a positive attitude having been once before during restaurant week, so we knew the food was gonna be amazing. The manager sat us and had a host take us too our table, we were sitting for more than 5 mins without being greeted by a server and after watching servers all around us help tables. The host that sat us brought us some waters and then later after another 5 mins we still hadn’t been greeted.
The host then came back to see if someone took our drink orders and we then explained no one has come to greet us. Just then she takes our drink order, appetizer, and entres. Soon after I pulled the manager by and explained what was happening and expressed admiration for the helpful host. We requested that she be our server and tip go to here for her hard work.
!!!!!!!!! Read !!!!!!!!!!!!
I have worked in the restaurant business for a while and I am one not to complain but a manager and people got a right to know what happened. Will this experience deter me from going there again, HELL NO!!!! I loved the food, drinks, and atmosphere! Yes we had some rocky service at first but the host made up for it all with just here willingness to see something not right and taking the initiative to fix it.
P.S. The Fried Chicken and Salmon (very simple items) were SO amazing and probably the best items on their menu!!!! It was so delicious and left us absolutely satisfied.
Fish special was very salty, but the beef bourguignon was quite delicious. The service was excellent.
I would go to Bo-Beau again, however, this was a mixed experience. I will explain the issues first:
-Parking is a real challenge
-No disabled parking
-No passenger loading space
-Inital servicep was slow. Took 5+ minutes to even be acknowledged by the server
-Once seated, service was slow
On the flip side:
My food was delicious as was my companions.
I had the salmon. It was flavorful and well prepared. My companion had the catch of the day and thoroughly enjoyed the preparation. The other person at my table ordered the spicy shrimp flat bred. She was disappointed in not finding much shrimp, however, the restaurant remied this by bringing her a side dish full of shrimp.
When I requested a new table due to the kitchen door, we were moved with no problem. Our server was attentive but busy. Manager came and check on us several times.
Overall, as I started a mixed experience. Bottom line though: the food was great!
The food was delicious, but did not like the seating, too close to the other diners.
Great place, but only thing was I tried to use a Cohen gift card and it was not allowed. Bummer, I should of asked before ordering. Not the servers fault but they should have said something on the website.
Food was very good except for Brussels Sprouts. They were charred. I’ve had them at other Cohen restaurants & they were much better. I should’ve sent them back but we had 4 different servers & I couldn’t find the right one.
Our service person was great! She was very attentive and helpful with recommendations.
Very good food, went for Restaurant week. They had a good menu, esp for gluten free and/or vegetarian modifications.
The hostess that greeted us was very gracious and had no problem with having us sit outside instead of inside, which I requested when I made the reservations. When we saw the beautiful outdoor patio and the weather was great, that is where we wanted to dine. Our server, I forget her name, was excellent and treated our Mum special on her B’day. It was also nice to see the children enjoying the school bus from where we were sitting. Looking forward to coming again. Cheers, Sheila
Was a perfect place to celebrate a 40th birthday!!
Love this place. Been a few times and always solid food, drinks and atmosphere.
This time our server was outstanding. She checked on us, made sure our food was delivered and correct. Never had to ask for a refill on drinks because she was right there. Great value. Did the restaurant week menu and the food was excellent. It was a little noisy because the restaurant was full and there was a party upstairs.
Chose to come for restaurant week, to give the place a try. But we really didn't like our food. The deviled eggs were amazing, and my husband's soup was good. But then it all fell apart. We paid way too much money for disappointing food. And the dessert was so small, it's like we didn't even receive dessert. Very bummed.
Ate outside which was pleasant & we knew it would be quieter than inside. Food was really good, but service could have been better. Our server needed to go inside & get some questions answered that we had asked her. She forgot to bring salt that we asked for 'cause the cous cous was bland even though it looked like it wouldn't be. We never did receive the salt & she needed to be reminded 2x about something mentioned earlier.
Never disappoints! The city of lights drink and beef carpaccio are my go tos! But overall all the food is great here
The food was delicious. I definitely recommend the ribs and the fried chicken. This is listed as a family friendly restaurant but the kid's menu is very lacking, which is why I knocked off a star. The pricing is also a bit inflated for both amount and quality of food. Maybe a once in awhile place, but definitely worth a visit.
Great food. Great service. Only disappointment was that the website said they had a pistachio ricotta cake for dessert, but they didn’t. I was looking forward to that.
I took myself on an impromptu date. Bo beau’s was recommended to me by my boss and I was greatly pleased. The patio provided an open air feeling while maintaining privacy. I enjoyed my drink, the beau spritz was a great refreshing drink and the pork belly flat bread pizza was a just enough to fill me up. The waitress was more than amazing. She made sure I had everything I needed but she didn’t make me feel like I was being rushed out. I would definitely recommend bo beau’s to my friends and I would go back.
Great like always
Excellent service, very accommodating to our dog, provided water bowl, and doggie biscuits for a treat. Appreciated that, food superb, drinks unique and tasty...The patio is very warm and cozy, great ambiance another Cohen restaurant hit out of the ballpark....
Would be nice if there was a band playing preferably jazz (old standards). Chicken not tasty but
great idea to have waffle and fried chicken and the presentation was great. You could have
fruit like strawberries on table.
We sat outside which was awesome on a warm summer night. Great ambiance until a large cockaroach crawled next to our table ledge that was next to a tree pot as we were finishing dinner. Lost my appetite and couldn’t stop thinking bugs were on me!
Food, wine and server were great need to get rid of the creatures!
One out of 5 of us enjoyed their dinner... but only after having sent it back because the steak was so salty. The Brussels sprouts other reviews raved about were burnt big sprouts with little flavor. The (pork something) flat bread was really good. That's it! I can't remember ever being this critical of a restaurant but truly it was over priced over salted food!
We're locals to the area of this restaurant, but this was our first visit. We had a good time, the food was very good, the service was great--we would definitely go back.
We have been to BO-Beau multiple time as it is one of our favorite restaurants. The Brussel sprouts are the best!!
We went last week for the Clambake they had on special and it was amazing!! I hope to see that come back soon as it was great food sold at a great price.
Birthday dinner for my daughter. Everyone loved their entrees. We also really enjoyed the roasted jalapeño deviled eggs and the lavender honey goat cheese.
Great options with great service.
Very pleasant atmosphere, great service and the New England Clambake was outstanding!!
Chicken and waffles are everything
We have been to Bo Beau’s twice now, once for dinner and then for Sunday brunch. Skip brunch as the food is very pedestrian. Soft scrambled eggs were hard scrambled, the beignets were so disappointing I could cry. None of the three of us liked breakfast. Dinner however was great. Delicious burger and the beef bourginon was really good. So dinner yes, breakfast, find another place. Wait staff are very good folks.
We have eaten here before many times and like it a lot. Unfortunately, the table we sat at was so unstable, and the one next to it. We finally ended up moving a large table not split us that was even. So, might want to get that little thing fixed up. Otherwise, the food was great, the service very sweet and it has a fun vibe to it. Love the mix of ages from kids to dogs.
We had an early light dinner on the patio. The shrimp flatbread and goat cheese app were both delicious. Our server was great and we had a lovely experience.
From start to finish, the experience was wonderful. The Brussels sprouts are so decadent and if they don't say, know that you can get a half portion. The full portion is quite large. We saw other people get it. Sit outside if you can. They have done a great job with their patio and dogs are allowed on the patio. Great food. Great service. Great ambience. Very highly recommended.
The food is fantastic. Try the Brussel Sprouts and the lavender/ honey goat cheese for starters ! Everything on the menu was been great so far . This was our second visit and we will return for sure !
Food was fabulous. I had the steak and frites with blue cheese topping. Best I’ve ever had. Fried chicken was also a hit as was the sprouts appetizer. New Chef?
A great place for great food and superb atmosphere. Everyone who works there is so friendly, professional and wonderful!
the waitress attended us very well excellent service and kindness very professional and delicious food
Great food and list of healthy options on the menu. Great beer selection as well. Highly recommend
Ribeye steak, green beans, & brussel sprouts are exceptional! I am never disappointed.
Pork shank and the fish of the day were fantastic. We go about once a month and haven’t been disappointed yet.
sat on the beautiful patio...brought new customers who loved it.
My only negative is that your prices with service charge are just
getting high for dining out on a regular basis
