Bluegrass Tavern in Baltimore offers rustic fine dining cuisine in an upscale tavern environment. Reservation system was down and no one answered the phone for us to change reservations to add a third person. But worked out fine, plenty of tables when we arrived
this was our third visit to bluegrass and we will definitely be back! the food was delicious as always and our service was outstanding. The waiter actually walked down the street with one of our party to show him where he could park his car so he wouldn't get a ticket! now that is going above and beyond!

Fantastic brunch, and great drinks! I loved the hee haw, and the eggs benedict was fantastic. Also gotta love the free beignets.
Delicious Food, Friendly Wait staff and Great Variety
Place was great! I had the lobster sliders, flank steak, and cheesecake. All which were excellent. Our server was very friendly. A bit on the pricey side but good sized portions
I thought the food was good but we went when it was restaurant week and did not get
the usual menu. I would have liked to have had the normal menu to choose from. Not
quite sure the purpose of restaurant week.
I had the chicken and dumplings. The dumplings were very very pasty and it was clear the dish had so much added flour to thicken it that it took away from the flavor.
The staff was very friendly and pleasant and offered great customer service. They were the best part of the evening.
We got there "early" (7pm) before the restaurant filled up, so we got great service.
The food was good, but not extraordinary.
We loved the crawfish hushpuppies, catfish sliders, hot friend chicken (a bit salty, though), and the desert. The steak was just ok.
We will come again when we can save up, or for a special occasion- this place is a bit above our price range.
To start, we were brought tap water with no ice--cool at best. Diet soda was $3.50, not $2 or $2.50. This is an outrageous price for a bar soda with lots of ice. Server did not ask if my partner wanted a refill. Bread and butter plates were on the table, but no bread of any kind came with our meals. When I asked why they were there, I was told, "to encourage people to order small plates."!
The menu is quite limited. I had salmon, which was decent--served over a melange of vegetable listed on the menu, but most of those listed were barely there. It was mostly fennel. Luckily, I like fennel. My partner had the chicken and dumplings. It was a large bowl of gray with shreds of chicken--looked like scraps. There were no dumplings and no real pieces of chicken. If it were me, for $17, I would have sent it back. Instead, my partner asked for dumplings. He was brought 3 marble sized pieces. There is no way I'd ever go to this restaurant again. Don't servers even know to serve food and beverages the way they'd like to be served? This place is a very poor value.
