The Blue River Bistro was amazing! The food was superb, our server Kayla was OUTSTANDING and the restaurant management did an amazing job with COVID safety precautions. We completely enjoyed our dinner there so much that we returned this evening and had an equally amazing experience with Eric as our server. I HIGHLY recommend Blue River Bistro- we will definitely be back on our next trip to Breckenridge!!!!
The Salmon entree, and the elderflower martini were amazing. A perfect evening with great friends.
We went for a going away lunch. The drinks, food and service are superb. Thank you for a wonderful time.
We were able to sit outside next to a heat lamp which was great - we had our dog with us and the staff was very accommodating. The menu was great - I had a hard time choosing as everything sounded delicious and our food was excellent. We'll be back!
This little gem was a great place to end our trip. Waitress was excellent; food was top notch! Would highly recommend this restaurant for a special night out in Breckenridge
Excellent service. We always enjoy BRB for a special dining experience.
This was our 2nd time back at the BBB since covid started. Has always been our favorite restaurant in Breckenridge. I had the pork shank 3 course dinner for $50 and it was fabulous. Wife had the salmon and loved it. Our server was excellent and we had the best night out since February. Will be back again on our net trip out to Breckenridge.
Everything was wonderful. Blu Bistro is our new favorite place!
It was good overall
Very nice meal during the Pandemic. Tables spaced nicely. Outside seating also available. Easy parking in rear of restaurant.
One of the best, if not the best, in Breckenridge right now. Socially distanced tables with seating indoors and outdoors, free parking in back. Food was excellent. We started with cream of tomato soup, caesar salad and focaccia, served promptly without being rushed. For main courses, had the keema curry and the tenderloin, both well executed and great flavors. Dessert was creme brulee which was very good, but tasted like it had been caramelized well before serving. Wine list is solid. Overall, you get at least what you pay for, and we will return.
We went here twice, once for lunch and brunch. The food was ok, I say this the food was cold or warm it never touched us hot. We had the same waiter both times and he was friendly but inattentive. The food had good flavor just too cold for my liking
We were served the best martini's in town! The food is creative and delicious.
Everything was excellent. We dined here on a Wednesday night and sat inside. The tables were well spaced apart which was reassuring, and also reduced the volume of nearby conversations. The diver scallop appetizer was perfectly cooked. My partner had the buffalo short ribs which were incredibly tender, and I had the Scottish salmon which had a wonderfully crunchy pine nut coating. The tres leches cake was to die for and was the perfect way to end a birthday dinner. If there was anything that fell short of our expectations, it was the elk carpaccio—the blue cheese dressing overwhelmed the flavor of the elk. We will definitely eat here again.
We started with a Sazarac and the Lemoncello drop. Both were overly sweet. The Ahi Nachos had a great flavor but poor execution which made them very difficult to eat. Instead of throwing a pile on the plate with a few oversized chunks of fish and avocado, they should cut the pieces smaller and construct the nachos on bigger chips. The Colorado Bass dish was tasty. The curry dish was just okay with an overpowering taste of lentils. More curry sauce probably would have fixed it.
The very best food at reasonable prices. Our server Katherine was fantastic!!
Savory food. Great service. Would go back!
Delicious meal and terrific service. Perfect for a special occasion dinner!
Food was excellent. Service spotty. Wine list too pricey for a restaurant like this.
Service was exceptional, staff was very friendly and overbearing at all.
Great happy hour!! Apps are 2 for 1 and they are so so good!
I had the excellent chicken Marsala with delicious pasta - I thought the pasta was made fresh but the server said it was dry pasta. It fooled me! My wife started with an espresso martini then had two apps - the mussels and the scallops with gnocchi. Everything was wonderful. We’ve been going there for years when we stay in Breck.
A wonderful place for dinner with friends and family. The service and food was excellent. Not a cheap night out but absolutely unforgettable!
Clay, our server was prompt and courteous.
Food and drink, as always, outstanding!
Jake mixes a great Grey Goose martini!
Great food and drinks. Perfect for our girls getaway weekend!
Really enjoyable! Highly recommend happy hour. Food, drinks, service, ambiance all great. We enjoyed elk carpaccio (excellent!), ahi nachos, Brie, brussel sprouts and crispy tiger shrimp. Would definitely do again.
Always a wonderful experience! My favorite restaurant in town!
We haven't eaten out much at all during this pandemic, but decided to try Blue River Bistro while we were staying in the area. The restaurant has taken good safety precautions: plexi screens between areas, wait staff wearing masks, hand sanitizer available, distancing patrons... The highlight was the food - we shared the charred brussels sprouts and beet and spinach salad as appetizers, my husband had the Scottish Salmon which he claimed was cooked perfectly, while I chose the appetizer portion of mussels as my main - tasty and filling. Would definitely return again when we are back in the area.
Plastic wall barriers were present between tables. We were seated in the last booth. People who wanted to use the single room restrooms had to stand in line right in front of our table. My husband and I thought this was both a bit awkward and sometimes not really socially distanced. Perhaps the restaurant can create a way for people to line up that is away from the table.
Food was delicious - we had the salmon and the beef tenderloin. The presentation and accompaniments were spot on. The brussel sprouts were also very good - charred to perfection. Service from Rachel was attentitive but not overly done.
This is one of our new faves when visiting Breck!
We always have a wonderful experience at the Bistro. It’s been our favorite place to visit in Breck for over a decade. The service is always great and the food is always delicious. Liz was our waitress for this trip and she is absolutely amazing! She was always positive and suggested some great apps and martinis.
The entire staff is always very helpful and professional. We want to thank them for seating us during these hard times. They all deserve the utmost respect for always respecting the customers they serve. We hope to see you all soon! Stay healthy!
I gave 5-star ratings because 6-star ratings aren't available. A go-to place for a great experience.
Great food...friendly staff...would definitely eat there again.
Great place to have lunch in Breck. We've been before and would definitely return again.
Seating inside was appropriately socially distant and the service was prompt & friendly. The food, of course, was excellent and the prices reasonable.
Was a birthday celebration- well done
Jess was awesome and made our night
We enjoyed a celebratory meal at Blue River Bistro before my daughter's elopement. The caesar salad, beet salad, ahi tacos, salmon and brussels sprouts were all delicious. We'd definitely eat here again.
We sat at the tall table by the bar and the bartender was our waitress. She made our first evening out for dinner since the start of the pandemic enjoyable and stress free. Can't wait for our next trip out in Oct to have dinner again at the BBB
COVID precautions were very good. Food excellent.
We had a late lunch on the patio. It was wonderful! Staff was great too.
Dinner was fabulous, and the food was delish. As my lady said, it's hard to get Risotto right, and their Risotto was on point!! Only issue I had, and it is a moot point. I did state in the reservation, and also confirmed when I received a call from Blue River. That is was my lady's special evening, and that we were celebrating her 30th bday. I was hoping for some sort of acknowledgment when we got to the restaurant, but sadly no mention of it from any staff, nor management. Other than that, it was a spectacular evening!
