Worth the trip to the Grove Park Inn. The Sunday buffet was. Bountiful for sure. We were all surprised that some stuff was not up to par in the taste category. The oatmeal had zero taste & the same for the biscuits and gravy. Having said that, there were MANY options that were great and we certainly walked away full. Service at the buffet was friendly and helpful. Our table server only asked once if we wanted a drink and therefore we never got anything except our complimentary mimosas.
Our favorite place to celebrate our anniversary. Food and service were excellent.
I’ve been here a few times and the food is very good. There have only been a couple things I have not gone back for more. Over it is wonderful.
Very very good, the only thing that I found lacking was the lack of fresh fruits and veggies but other than that it was great!
One of the best buffets I've ever been to. The Oysters Rockefeller was my favorite dish, followed by the made to order eggs Benedict. We were seated by the window with a fantastic view of the mountains and Asheville. Definitely worth the journey to the Park Grove Inn!
First off, I love The Grove Park Inn. I go there whenever I can. I thought the selection of the brunch buffet was very good and the food was very good! The mimosa that came with the brunch buffet was delicious and a very nice surprise. As someone that is gluten free, there is always a level of disappointment that there aren’t more gluten free options, but I was happy that the food was marked as gluten free! That was a huge plus. The floor was dirty and my friend was served a glass with lipstick, so that was a little disappointing for being The Grove Park Inn, but overall it was a great experience and I will be back!
Service was amazing, food was delicious (we went on Prime Rib night) and the cocktails were super tasty. We’d definitely return!!
Wasn't sure we wanted buffet at the Grove Park. We thought it would be too institutional to be quality food. What a misconception! It was fantastic! Three separate rooms- apps, hot entrees, desserts- made the selection process easy. The variety of food was enough so that anyone could enjoy something. But overall, we were impressed by the quality of the food. It was like you would order in an upscale private restaurant. Service was attentive but not overwhelming and the views were spectacular. Although it was $50, in the end we felt it was worth it would definitely go back. The price DID include all non-alcoholic drinks.
Excellent place to go for fine dining and a wonderful atmosphere crab-legs where very good and salad bar excellent blue ridge dining room never disappoints impeccable service from wait staff highly recommended
Didn’t realize it was a buffet
Not the typical fine dining experience you would expect at the grove park
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback from your recent dining experience. We apologize that the restaurant did not meet expectations, and will look into a clearer way to describe Blue Ridge on our website and OpenTable. We hope we have a chance to serve you again in the future.
Great service and a variety of food. Servers on the buffet explained their dishes and were very courteous.
Excellent selection (was seafood buffet). Great views of the Blue Ridge mountains mde for a great evening! Highly recommended!
I have eaten here several times but this time it was really phenomenal.
The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Of course we will be back
several times a month for that.
Thanking them for a wonderful experience. Well worth it
Absolutely fabulous food, service a d view A must do when in Asheville
We enjoyed a wonderful meal with a beautiful view! The service was great! Our server, Stan, was the best! Always nearby checking to see if we needed anything and very friendly. A perfect Sunday brunch!
The Sunday brunch at Blue Ridge had a wealth of delicious food options to go with the amazing view. Service was prompt and friendly. If you're not staying at the Grove Park Inn, it's a perfect way to tour this amazing property.
Great experience with brunch. The options were endless and well worth the money spent.
Service and food were both excellent. Nice spot for an evening out with a variety of quality foods and desserts.
Great place. Food is very good. Service excellent. Ambience is perfect. Love coming here.
View is spectacular. Food was delicious and our waiters were fantastic!
Awesome experience at Blue Ridge. Delicious food and excellent service!
Dining in the Blue Ridge Room at the Grove Park Inn is always a memorable experience. The wait staff is the highest calibre and if you don't get enough to eat it's no one's fault but your own. The highlight for the week is the Seafood Buffet that fills 3-4 large rooms with every kind of seafood you can imagine from fried shrimp to broiled salmon to fresh made crab cakes to crab legs, all you can eat! While the food is generally very good I found some things lack in my meal this time. Let's start with the stars of the evening. The salmon filets were AMAZING. They were firmly cooked, which is exactly the way that i like them, in a light herbed butter sauce. The fried shrimp was also good, but the batter seemed to fall off of them before you could get them to your mouth. The crab cakes were fantastic. They are cooked right at the buffet so you have to wait a bit for them. The aioli was one of the best parts of the meal. A light coating of that on the crab cakes was heaven. As for sides, the potato salad was delicious. It was made from smoked potatoes. You can taste the richness from the first bite but it was overly dressed so the ingredients could shine through. There weren't a lot of vegetables to choose from so the potato salad was a welcome addition to the many forms of protein on the buffet. Now for the down sides. The crab legs were completely free of flavor. Trust me, if you are going to work as hard as you have to work to get the meat out of them, they had better have some flavor. These had none. I think this was the biggest miss of the evening. Even adding butter to them didn't help. The small pieces of fried fish were mostly batter and when you did find fish it was tough. The small mini desserts were each wonderful in its own way, which isn't typical. Usually they are not that great. The highlight was the cheesecake. Excellent especially for a light end to dinner. Overall an enjoyable evening but it is pricey.
Seafood buffet was awesome, fresh. Our service Victoria was professional. Yet personable!
Jason our server was great!!!
Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere for fine dining. Buffet was excellent and well stocked.
Excellent service .....
Alan shucking the Oysters is the best!
I have been here twice before and each time my experiece has been wonderful. It is a joy for me to bring my out-of-town friends to this restaurant's buffet and it is the only buffet world-wide that I will eat at myself. The views are lovely, made more so on the day we visited because we were treated to the sight of a thunderstorm passing through.
The food is always delicious and plentiful; however, this particular visit were seated late to the buffet and were disappointed that there was not fresh fruit other than some sad-looking, brown spotted bananas. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
Our server was most solicitous, always there when we needed him and very gracious.
Outstanding buffet with incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains
Beautiful views. Great food. Overall an enjoyable dinner with family at the beautiful Grove Park.
Service spotty perhaps because this is a buffet, but several things missing from training of staff. Took a long time to get drinks. Hard to get crab leg cracking tool and no small forks provided to get meat out of legs. This means clients take a lot more crab legs than perhaps needed. Waiter unaware of tools needed and non provided next to crab legs ( which solve problem). Plates rarely cleared from table. We started using table next to ours to stack plates (which was dirty from previous occupants). No fresh silverware provided. Waiter would put old silverware off plates back on tablecloth for us to eat dessert. Yuck. Seafood on ice cream. Had to get spoons for dessert. None out near desserts. We would have ordered more drinks but were not offered. Check brought before requested which seemed like we were being rushed. The place was not busy and there were no lines. Bottom line. Food and ambience great. Our waiter not professional.
amazing and Jose was outstanding! Definitely ask for him!
The prime rib was excellent. Excellent vistas to enjoy.
Waiter was very good, food good, ambience very nice. Got a little noisy by 7:30 or so. Very nice overall.
Turnip greens were awesome!
My husband enjoyed the seafood. I was rather disappointed.
The seafood buffet was good at the appetizer station but very average at the main course station. There wasn’t much in the way of seafood on offer at the main course area. I’m sure because of covid it’s difficult for restaurants to make up for lost time and supply food which is probably more expensive and harder to obtain so I do understand that there are limitations for the restaurant but I didn’t think the meal was worth $48 per person. The ambiance is very nice as always.
Food was just okay quality.

Very good buffet dinner with family. Nice view if you are in window area.
We were there for an anniversary dinner and to celebrate the 4th of July. The good and service was great. The fireworks afterward were spectacular.
Buffet was outstanding with many choices of meat and shellfish. Service was exceptional
The food, staff, and view were fantastic. It could not have been any better. We had a great time.
